I'm not a fan of the typical birks (they're a bit too chunky for my liking), but saw these on a friend and thought they were much cuter and a bit more dainty. Ordered them to try and at first was put off because they still seemed clunky, but I gave them a few days trying them on every once in a while and they've grown on me. They are a bit slimmer looking than the classic birks, and I really like them! I got the mocha color and really like how neutral they are I think they will go with just about anything. I usually wear a 6.5-7 and got the 37 upon recommendations from other review, and they fit perfectly! My only complaint is that only 2-3 months after I bought these, the cork has started to crack in the ball-of-foot area (where it might bend if you were to stand on your tiptoes). However, I have been very gentle with them and I really have not worn them enough to warrant a crack in a pricey pair of shoes.

These are such awesome shoes, but they are NOT for narrow feet. Though I could tighten two straps, the loop over the toe was much too big. If you have medium to wide feet, these would probably fit just fine. Ugh. Bummed.

I've gone through 3 pair of Mayari. Two out of 3 eventually had the toe strap pull out. I took them to the shoe repair guy right away since these are all I wear. I resoled one pair and love the support given to my average to wide foot. Since a bone fusion surgery a few years ago, these are my go to shoes 98% of the time. The style is prettier than the clunky looking Arizona. Also in my closet are Madrid, Gizeh, but the Mayari is my favorite. I wish Birk made a few different colors of Mayari.

These Birkenstock sandals look better on my foot then some of the others I have tried. I like the arch support and the thick sole protecting my tender soles! Love this Mayari in Habana oiled leather color too.

So let me start by saying these shoes offer the familiar comfort of Birkestock we all know and love. The toe wrap is really kind of awesome b/c I don't have to grip my toes in any way for the shoe to stay on. I struggled with buying these b/c they are not as trendy or youthful as the Gizeh thong and I am not a fan of the traditional look of a Birk but this is an ok mid-point for appearance. Last thought...the strap that goes across your foot (the one closer to your leg) can take a week to adjust to - I got a blister but super short lived and I just loosened the buckle one notch. Great comfort and middle of the road appearance (way better than traditional, not as cute as Gizah).

I love my Birkenstock Mayari sandals. The toe bar takes some getting used to. The first day of wearing them, I got cramps in my toes.

So sorry to have to send these back. They are sooooo comfy and supportive, but not as supportive in the arch area as my Mephistos. Very well made shoe and a great buy. They did run a little large on me in the length.

I just received these and am pleased with my purchase. Here are some things you should know. I wear a 7.5 shoe and have narrow feet. I got size 38 narrow and they fit just right. There is a ridge in the sole just behind the toe strap that I think will take a few wearings before it molds to me feet. All other aspects of the shoe are very comfortable.

I wear a narrow fit which is what I ordered. The fit was appropriate..not too wide. I didn't find the base of the sandal to have much comfortable support as I had anticipated. It was "uncomfortable", but I thought it would feel softer. The base does appear to have potential to conform to the shape of your foot with time. It was also a little longer than my foot but not to the point where I needed to order a smaller size. I ended up returning and keeping the Mephisto.

Sandals fit me well and seem very comfy. I am returning because the silver is too shiny. Would have preferred a more subtle silver. Will order a different color.

Ordering a narrow width seems to have done the trick! This is my second pair of Birkenstocks. I rarely wear the first pair because they seem so clunky on my feet. A friend recommended I try the narrow width on this pair and I am much happier with the overall fit and appearance.

These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I am in between a 6.5 and 7, so I ordered the 37 and they fit perfectly!

I have very flat feet, so these weren't immediately comfy for me. I could feel all the curves and creases that are part of the Birkenstock brand. However, the straps are incredibly soft and comfortable--something I wasn't sure would be the case since they aren't leather. I started wearing them immediately and aside from the bottoms of my feet being generally sore at the end of the day, there was no rubbing or other issues. After another couple days of wearing them, I'm quite happy! I got the regular width, even though I have small feet, and am happy I didn't go with narrow. I suppose if you buy narrow in other brands, it'd be wise to do it with these, too. Overall, I really like the strappy look of the sandal, and am looking forward to getting more than a year or two out of my summer footwear.

Thought this would be better than a thong shoe, and it might have been so if my big toe were smaller in circumference. Although these would stretch, I fear my big toe would be badly blistered by the strap for a long time. The sandals look nice and I regret having to return them.

Since I have a high arch and plantar fasciitis, these darling shoes are so comfortable and I can wear all day. The footbed is a little harder than normal and the size runs big. I had to order one size smaller.

These shoes are super comfy, really stable and have great support. These were not cheap but they are totally worth the cost considering how long they last.

I purchased the Black Oiled Leather color expecting it to look like the picture does. I wear black or muted colors often so I thought this color would be great for me. When I received them they did not look as nice as they do in the picture, I am thinking about exchanging them. They were very simple, kind of cute. Also the Sole seemed very dark, almost like a dark brown. The actual color was matte and looked dark and grunge. Overall, this is just my opinion.

My first pair of Birkenstocks. I quit wearing thong sandals last summer due to foot problems; these are very comfortable and hopefully will not cause the same issues I had with thongs. I was searching for white sandals and these ("Antique Lace") came up on the search. When they arrived, I was surprised to see that they are NOT white at all, but rather an opalescent cream color (probably should have realized that from the name). But if you need true white, this is not your shoe.

A sturdy classic. These sandals won't win any beauty prizes but they will keep your feet comfortable on long walks or if you do a lot of standing in a day. I wear a 9 wide and the 39 in stone fit me fine.

Love the style but they don't seem quite as comfortable as other Birkenstocks I've had...about 6 or 7 pairs. They have the arch support but don't seem to stay on quite as securely as the others. But the most negative thing about them is they make slight clicking NOISE when walking. It's not the sucking noise that some Birk wearers report & I can't tell exactly where it's coming from. It's really noticeable when walking in a quiet place like the library. Hope it will go away but it's been a month of almost daily wearing & hasn't so far let up.

The sizing is a little tricky with these. I am a pretty solid 39 in Birkenstocks, usually a narrow in the clogs and a regular in the sandals. That said I ordered the 39. Weirdly it was too big- width was OK, but they were too long and because of this to toe loop hit in a weird spot. I exchanged for the 38 and they are much better- length is good, toe loop in the right spot, etc. though they are a hair narrower than I'd like despite being a regular. They are still pretty darn great, so I am keeping them- just baffled by the sizing and that's why they only get 4 stars overall. This my 9th pair of Birks and the first that hasn't been a 39.

I always wear a 6.5/7 and I got the size 37 and it was way too big. I ended up giving them to a friend because I couldn't feel okay with how much larger they felt. Definitely get a half size smaller than you usually get.

I really like these shoes, but Birkenstocks appear not to be made for my feet. I was encouraged that this style came in narrow and with a toe loop. This was just what I needed. I was especially encouraged that both the toe loop strap and the foot strap were leather and were adjustable. Alas, I have determined that Birkenstock designs for people with short toes! For the arch to be in the right place - as in size 39, my usual shoe size - my toes do not fit inside the footbed. I tried size 40, but that did not work. So consider the length of your toes when buying these shoes!

Great shoes. Super comfy and they look as good as Birkenstocks can look. I ordered a size down. The recommended ordering a 38 (I'm usually a size 7). The 38s were huge. 37 fit fine.

I am new to Birkenstocks and bought the Mayari specifically because both straps can be adjusted. While I love Naot sandals, I've found that once the footbed is broken in the straps are often too loose. Normally I wear an 8-8.5 show, sometimes in narrow. I ordered 39's and 38's in both regular and narrow width. 39's - way too long. 38 reg - boats. So it seemed like 38 narrow was right...until I wore them a few days (rendering them nonreturnable unfortunately). The ridge under my big toes hit mid-toe and was painful. Then, after some wear the pain subsided but they now seemed too big/loose/long. Thanks to Zappos making it so easy to order with abandon, I decided to try to the 37's (that's a 6 in regular shoes) even though they wouldn't fit..how could they? Guess what? 37 regular is perfect. My arch hits perfectly as does the toe ridge. Moral of the story - try every combo above and below your regular size if you are new to Birkenstocks / Mayari! Once you have the right fit, this is a great shoe.
