Wonderful shoe. Great style and comfortable from the beginning. The only issue is that they felt a half size larger to me. I am not returning because the only option is to go down a whole size.

The footbed was so comfortable but the leather wrap around my big toe was the deal breaker. Did not like the feel

I love hate them. I love them. And they are I bought the antique lace color and they are the microfiber and give me blisters. I walked a lot yesterday the first day I wore them, (brave, I know). I am a little concerned there is not a way to break the microfiber in. Leather I understand the concept. It gets softer. Not so sure about micro fiber. But I love them and will give them a chance. I have no arches so I was nervous about these. I wear chacos and they make my legs hurt because of their support and design. So I thought these would cause similar muscle pain. And they dont! Which I am excited about. I hope they will help distribute the weight on my foot more evenly. Making my joints happier! Yay!!

Seemed narrower and smaller footbed than my other Birks also a size 37. Toes too close to edge. Returned to order the 38.

I have a leather pair that I love. I accidentally ordered a pair in black that are made out of Birko-flor and I don't like them nearly as much. I should have returned them when I realized they weren't leather. The leather just wears better, molds to my foot and looks great! The Mayari design is great and I love the way it makes my feet look.

I love the way these shoes look. I typically get a 7 in other shoes but the Birkenstock 7 is a little big on me but I kept them anyway. If you have wider feet, I definitely suggest wearing them around the house a bit before you go out.

I usually wear a 6.5-7 and the 37 narrow fits perfectly with just a smidge of extra room at the heel. The sandals were comfy right out of the box. Of note- I have wide feet, but Birks are naturally wider, so the narrow fit was fine.

I'm in love with these sandals; I hyperventilated about the price for a little while, but I'm glad I purchased these! They're comfy and by far the most supportive shoe in my closet, yet stylish enough to dress up or down, and the silver is really pretty. I'm usually a US size 9, and the 40 feels about a half size bigger than I need, but I decided I'd rather that than a size too small. As others have noted, these do require a break-in period for the footbed to conform to your feet--for me, it took about a week of wearing them around the house for a few hours at a time. The straps, though, were comfortable right out of the box. I know these will last me through many summers, but now that I'm feeling the Birkenstock love I can't help eyeing up the Gizeh, too...

I've had probably 40 pairs of Birkenstocks in my life. (I'm 45 and spent a lot of the nineties managing a Birkenstock store.) I am having more difficulty breaking my this pair of Mayaris than I have any other pair. I bought the black oiled leather and am very happy with the style and quality but the strap that runs across bottom of toes is rubbing on base of last toe. The toe bar is also hitting an odd place on my foot -- I assume because my foot is forced into place by the toe loop. I know that will eventually conform as well. I'm sure the birko-flor versions are a little easier to break in, as Birkenstock has tendency to use thick, stiff leather that eventually becomes super comfortable. If you're having similar issues with leather Mayaris, I found using my hands to manipulate and soften the leather, tightening the straps past how I would normally wear them, and slowly increasing hours I wear them to be helpful. I'm hopeful that by my vacation in August these will be super comfortable. It's just odd, as I never usually have a break in period with birks at all and wear others every day.

Warning: I advise not paying extra for the habana oiled leather because it does not have the deep brown shiny beautiful look like they do in the pictures. It pretty much looks like the grey normal colored Mayari sandals. They do not come 'oiled'.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. I wear an 8-8.5 in shoes so I ordered a size 39 in mocha. It was much too large and the mocha color looks duller than in the picture. Therefore, I reordered a size 38 in toffee and I LOVE them!

I wanted Birkenstocks that were a little more fashionable, so I chose Mayari. I originally got the Havana oiled leather, which were beautiful, but the leather was so thick and stiff that they actually hurt the top of my feet, so I exchanged them for a birkibuc upper, which was much softer on my feet. I wish the straps were a little daintier, especially since my feet are small, but overall these are a great choice.

Love Birkenstocks, but my originals are about 20 years old! Wasn't sure about having something between my toes but it's not bad. And I love the fact there is no 'break-in' period. Comfortable from the moment I put them on. My feet are wide and the regular width was perfect.

Fits great, I wear an 8-1/2 in most shoes and have a wide foot. The size 39 fit perfectly and are very comfortable.

How long will it take to break them in? Ouch! I've only worn them for a couple hours so far. The strap across my arch hurts. I feel bruised and actually have a red mark. The contour under my toes on the footbed is not in the right place for my feet. This also hurts. I usually wear a 9.5 so I ordered a 40, but it looks too big. Trying to decide if I should return and try a smaller size (which might improve the footbed alignment) or just return them and try something different.

Love the shoe, but it runs a bit large. I should have gotten a size smaller.

Cute and Comfortable! I've wanted Birkenstocks for years and only just got around to purchasing these. They were comfortable for walking a few miles right out of the box. (I purchased them for dog walking and weary feet.) Beware: I purchased the "toffee" faux leather and they have a metallic sheen, though I didn't see that in the description or photos. Surprise?

These are great and fit just like the classic Birkenstock. The color is much more tan in person, not a dark brown like pictured. I wear an 8.5 and the 8 fit perfectly.

Wanted to love these but they made my feet look really wide. Ended up going with the Tstrap Birks in the same bronze leather

Beautiful shoe, but runs large. I wear a 5 or 6, and the 36 (smallest size sold) is quite big. I almost returned but decided to deal with the extra heel room because they're so cute.

I love Birkenstocks! Usually I wear Gizeh, but I figured I'd try something new. I purchased the black oiled leather, but the top strap gave me nasty blisters on the top of my inner instep! So sad. I am hoping the leather softens or my skin toughens. I already wore the sandals since I knew I love Birks so I can't return them. Be aware, the other black Birk is acrylic and polyamide felt fibers, not leather. I measure a size 10.5 medium, but I need to get 42 in Birks or my heel hangs over in back.

I have many pairs of Birkenstocks, but none like these. With that said, I've always been able to put new Birk's on and wear them out of the box. These shoes are a little different. The part that I'm still trying to get used to is the strap that is close to my ankle. If I loosen it, the shoe is sloppy and my foot slides forward. When that happens, the toe straps become uncomfortable. When I tighten it, I can feel it on the top of my foot to the point that it is getting a little sore (but the toe straps don't bother me because the other strap is holding my foot in place). I'm going to stick with it because I believe the leather will soften and become more pliable, making all of the straps just right! I love the style of this shoe so a little bit of early discomfort probably will be worth it in the end. The arch support in this shoe is great. I'm giving it four stars for comfort now with an extra star to be earned when and if they become totally comfy.

I read all the reviews and I'm glad I did. I wear between 7 1/2-8, ordered these in 38 and the run 1/2 size large which is perfect for me. The leather is soft but takes a few wear to get adjusted.

I love the golden brown and I love the footbed. I'm still in the 'break in' period. Because I have wide feet, they've go to give, which I understand they will. I've had these shoes for a couple weeks and I can wear them for several hours a day now. I'm giving them 4 stars for comfort because of the break in period.

Loved the style and look. I usually wear a size 6-6 1/2 in shoes I had to order a 36 and it's still a little big. The shoe seems to be a bit hard when you walk the buckles kind of put pressure on the foot. I hope that will be less pressure as they are worn more.
