I wear a 7.5 sandal and ordered the size 38. Too big by half a size so ordered Down.

I really want to love these shoes, but the leather is so stiff and hurts the toe area. They are an attractive looking shoe. Arch support is high, but I know if I can get past the breaking in period they will be perfect. I feel a shoe should fit like a glove the minute you put your foot into it and I shouldn’t have to break them in and mold them to my feet. For now, I wear them around the house with socks on until they are right.

Overall too big. Ordered a 40. I generally wear a 8.5-9

I have worn Birkenstocks on and off for years. So I was happy to get back into them again. Unfortunately they just did not feel right - they were not comfortable. I used them for about half a day and then had to take them off. Maybe it is just me…but I had to return them.

I usually wear a size 7 or 7 1/2, and I have European sized shoes in both 37 and 38. Initially ordered sz 38 - too large. Exchanged for a 37 - fit was perfect! I wanted to love them. Everyone I know loves them. But for me, they immediately hurt under my big toes. There is a ridge in the footbed that, I think, is meant to fit between the toes and the sole of the foot. In the little bit of walking I did to test the shoes, my foot did not stay where it needed to be to keep that ridge where it needed to be. It actually was quite painful, especially for my right foot. I am now giving up on Birks, as I have never found a pair that worked for me. I am sure it is not the shoes in this case, either.

These fit me perfectly. They feel nice. I wish Birkenstocks were lovely, but they are not. But this is my fourth pair of the same shoes, but so they are comfortable.

I love these. So much so, my daughter swiped them. Guess I need a new pair.

The bed of the foot is very comfortable. I have suffered plantar fasciaitis for a long time. The only problem I had with this sandal. Is that it put pressure on the top of my right toe. I'm not giving up. I am going to try a different style. As birkenstocks are excellent, four people with heel pain and feet pain.

Almost everything about the shoe was really good. Unfortunately, there was a spot on the side of my left foot which hurt when I wore the shoes. I tried adjusting the straps, to no avail. I think it's possible the problem would be solved if I wore the shoes for a couple weeks, giving them a chance to conform better to my foot, but then I wouldn't be able to return them. I am really disappointed.

These feel a little large but are cute and comfortable if not walking for a long time. I really like them.

One sandal arrived with a strange scratch on the heel of the footbed and one of the toe straps seemed unusually loose or large. Other than that, I love these. Will return though and try a different pair.

the leather is way too stiff for me to even break these in. can't wear them myself (even tho I've 2 other pairs of the same style but different leathers), so I'm regrettably returning them.

I wear an 8 generally, but this was a half to full size larger.

Straps were much stiffer than those on my other Birks. They rubbed my toes, so I returned.

I’m not a fan of the new sizing. I don’t know if I risk getting the 9-9.5 size or what.

I typically wear an 8 1/2 and these fit perfect! The leather is a bit stiff on the first wear, but I am hoping they soften up as I wear them more. The strap over the toes is not totally smooth underneath. The leather is folded where the buckle lays. Once I loosened the strap it did not rub my foot as much.

Love them, super comfortable…. BUT they are a bit narrow where the toe strap crosses. I crossed the straps opposite of how they came and that pretty much solves the problem.

Love my Birkenstocks! These arrived off-color from the images and the two shoe colors almost looked like they didn’t match. Sad these didn’t work out.

I like the shoe, but they are stuff to begin with, and it is taking a while to soften them. The soles are very firm. Right now these are not shoes I can wear several days in a row.

I had to return the first pair. I like them but they don’t have the pretty honey color or shine.

Run a whole size larger.
