Stiff "oiled" eather felt as sharp and uncomfortable as steel bands on my feet. These are not at all how I remember Birks in the past.

These fit, but I didn't care for them. The leather was extremely stiff and the placement of the straps was unattractive on my high instep. The color, tobacco, was also more like an olive than a brown.

So ugly. Worst of all the footbed has a weird curve and my feet didn’t fit at all. The size was fine. They were terribly uncomfortable!

Loved these but the insole cracked on both sandals less than 6 months in. Super disappointed in the quality of Birks as the first pair I had last 10 years. Zappos customer service as always was amazing and gave me a full refund. Zappos is always my place to go for shoes. Thank you for being amazing!

The leather doesn’t fit quite right in the buckles and will get ruined with buckling and unbuckling. The soles are rock hard and it doesn’t come in a soft footbed. Totally uncomfortable

Cute shoe, but rubbed toes. I have several Birks, but these just aren’t comfortable.

These are going back and are absolutely NOT as pictured or described. They are a light tannish color - not tobacco oiled leather - and not "distressed" looking like the pic. Other people have commented on this as well. Why won't Zappos fix the pic and description so people don't waste their time buying something they didn't choose?

I wear a size 36 medium in the Birks such as the Florida and Arizona, but these felt and looked like a narrow. Shoe was clearly marked “medium.” Loved style and look but too narrow for me.

I adore the fit, comfort, sizing EVERYTHING. IT's a great shoe for those with foot problem or those who just want a really comfortable shoe. HOWEVER, I have owned these shoes since 3/24/21 (it's 5/3/21 today) and look at the picture. They are already falling apart. There is not significant wear on the sole or the shoe - I've worn these almost exclusively inside since receiving them. Really poor quality.

The buckle is defective

I have duck shaped feet; width and length were correct for me (38). Leather felt adequately soft/supple. Reasons for return: I ordered Zinfandel thinking I would receive red/burgundy colored sandals. I may have made an incorrect color assumption but these things are PURPLE, almost a neon fuschia. Additionally, the leather was tanned evenly. Parts of the straps were light purple and other parts were darker. The tissue paper was stained purple, and despite the notecard in the mangled box stating that color bleeding was to be expected I decided they just looked like an overall mess. Also returning based on lack of sole comfort. They did not offer as much support/cushioning as my Mephisto sandals. This was my first purchase of Birkenstocks and I had much higher expectations based on brand and cost but was quite disappointed.

I am very disappointed with Birkenstock. I've had these sandals for two years and they are totally falling apart. Each sandal has a crack running from the top down to the sole. I expect them to literally break apart any day now. I don't pay this kind of money for a pair of sandals that will last only two years. The company is not what it used to be!

I ordered two pairs of Birkenstocks, these and the Mayari. I sent both back. So uncomfortable. The leather was stiff and hard, the soles seemed flat. I usually slip right into them, but not these. I feel like the quality just isn’t there anymore.

The material was incredibly stiff - and it was shiny, not like oiled leather. The middle strap hurt my left foot no matter how I adjusted it. It didn't feel like the oiled leather Birks I already have.

Wrong shoe sent

I was sent the wrong style, the Sahara Futura Khaki...instead of the Franca Dusty Blue . I'm no longer interested in trying the Franca

I had to return because the wrong pair were sent. I ordered a black oiled leather and recieved a blue pair with blue bottoms. Not what I wanted at all

Fit was as expected but the leather was so stiff there was no way I could wear this shoe. Wanted to love it but my feet screamed NO!

I usually love birkenstocks, and technically these fit, but the strap on this style was horrible. Maybe I just have big ankles? Either way, it came way too far back, making it cut into my ankle. Would not recommend.

I have moderately wide size 5 feet. This pair looked huge and was extremely clunky.

Have wanted to wear Birkenstocks for years, but can't find ones that are comfortable for me. They just never fit right.

My problem is this—I’ve tried 2 times to order this sandal, both unsuccessfully. Both times they sent the right style sandal but it was fake suede, not the oiled leather I ordered. I don’t even see the sandal they sent me on your website. I talked to a customer service rep. and she said it could take up to 30 days for them to pull the item to see what’s causing this repeated error. She did give me a $50 credit to use once I can reorder this item. Anything to expedite this process is greatly appreciated.

Was anxious to try this new Birk style but didn’t like the look after I tried them on. Will return and purchase the Florida instead

Unfortunately, when I walked around the house in the shoes, the straps caused pain on the sides of my feet. I could not wear them. I loved the style, but, they are not good for my feet!
