I have 2 of these lids. First one I bought about a month ago and love. The "black" straw is super tight and stays up when drinking out of it. So I bought a second one for my other bottle. I received it yesterday and this lid's "black" straw it's super loose and wants to close while drinking which is frustrating. Wish it was as tight and stayed up as the first one does.

Wide mouth lid with straw doesn't line up properly when you open it to drink. The hole seems to be slightly off so I'm essentially just sucking air when I'm trying to take a drink of water

Straw is a bit too short for my bottle but all in all it works.

The straw doesn't stay fully open when sipping. It moves forward while sipping resulting in no liquid coming up.

Still leaks a little bit perhaps because the straw part of the lid doesn't snap close. I prefer the finger loop over the handle so I miss that. When you're drinking from a 40 ounce wide mouth the bottle is too heavy to hold up with just your one hand. I need the assistance of finger loop to help me hold the bottle up to drink out of it.

The eggplant color is awesome. I had the flask engraved and it's like already peeling or chipping

Just wish they made this for the bottles. Accidentally bought this for a bottle cause it would have been perfect, but only fits tumblers. Only rating average cause they need to offer these for bottles.

The cap itself is fine. But beware, if you purchase it for the 40oz trail series bottle, the straws ate 10 inches which are too short. Customer service was great. How we in trying to make it right, they sent what was supposed to be 13 inch straw. Which were also 10 inches and again too short. Next step is to find 13 inch straws from another company. Disappointing HF doesn't carry the right straws for all their products.

The straw does not seal enough. This is my second hydro flex , and it works perfectly on my 16oz. Hydro flex.

I was excited about the flex straw option. It makes it easier to drink from than other caps when driving. The mouthpiece snaps tightly into place and does not leak. If you fully extend the mouthpiece it doesn't make an air noise. If it's not fully opened you can hear an slight air leak. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the piece used to flip open the mouthpiece is extremely fragile. Mine fell over and landed on the top. The tab snapped off. I accept responsibility for the fall. I used a cyanocrylate (CA) glue in an attempt to fix it knowing it was a long shot. It held about 5 times (allowing air leakage noise) before it broke off. Now it's worthless. I read a review that said the same thing happened to theirs. I should have known better.

I like the straw but I wish it wasn't black, since my bottle is a lovely lavender.

The lid leaks a bit. After drinking water the back of the mouth piece fills with water and the lid overflows with it. Other than that it's a good product.

Love that it doesn't leak it could have a little more resistance in its movement though.

It's a lot heavier than I thought it would be, but other than that, it works well to carry drinks and keep them cool all day.

This was purchased as a gift (the old school lid wouldn't stop leaking) but, sadly, it squeaks. We've nearly resolved that issue but when they went to pick it up for a drink & flipped the lid, the cold tea spewed all over him and bubbled out the top. Yeh he won't use it anymore. :(

Doesn't stay open very well and you can only sip water if the lid is all the way open
