This was a gift for my husband. Although not tested in the snow yet, he loves the look and feel of them.

I use it in thick snow in dee winters so far it's been great. Above the lever of my ankle, sometimes some ice have slid through and when you wear long enough the top portion isn't tight enough to prevent the cold air from going in. But over all a good product to have.

I have not used the boots in the snow yet. They appear to be well made. I had to order a 1/2 size bigger for a good fit

This is the 2nd pair of Chilkat Boots that I've purchased. The first pair wore out after about nine years of service so they were a great investment as I'm always outside blowing/shoveling snow and chopping wood in the north eastern winters.

These are the perfect winter boot, for when the temps get very low and your walking in a lot of snow and ice. Due to built in insulation, they run small.

Excellent cold-weather boots, but a little heavy.

I can't give them five stars yet because I haven't had the chance to try them out. I like the look of them though and seem like they will be good once the snow hits. I needed to size up a full size. I normally wear a 10 in TNF boots but I needed to go up to an 11 with these.

Seems like a solid winter boot. I usually wear a 10.5 and 11 was perfect.

I had the chilkat 4 and they were awesome. They were really warm and thicker than these. These boots aren't bad but I paid more for these and I got a product that's not anywhere near the old ones

Definitely need wool socks with these boots when the temperature drops. These boots do not keep your toes warm in -5 or below. Worn for two weeks so far.

This didn't work out for me and boy did I try. I'm size 11 in most shoes. I ordered this on three sizes 11, 11.5 and 12 but all of them were touching my big toe even the 12 so I had to return all 3.

I work in construction up in maine I bought them to keep my feet warm and comfortable but they still weren't as warm as I thought they would be; but they are somewhat comfortable walking on frozen uneven ground.

Great boots, but sizes run small

Bought in my normal size, 13, and the boots were too small. Didn't know I should have bought a size larger.

I live in MN, bought these for general use and snow blowing. They're warm but they're very narrow and the loop broke on them after owning for less than 1 month. Will not be purchasing again.

These are made for snow and cold. Should be warmer.

Got them for my husband. He said they were a bit snug, but the size up was too big.

Run small. Had to return. Ordered a size up and they were still too small. They look great I just wish they fit.

I live and work in the snow and haven't been able to find a waterproof boot yet. Unfortunately these are not waterproof either.

The pull tab on one of the boots tore completely off after a month after I bought them and the second time wearing them. Been too busy to contact Northface to replace them but I'm very disappointed.

Looks great! But nothing like the quality used to be.

Initially I liked this pair of boots and would recommend without hesitation. Warm, waterproof, great for snow. Then a large crack developed in the rubber where it would connect to the lacing, similar to other reviews here. Warranty will not cover this clear manufacturing defect. Boots were stored properly, regularly cleaned etc previous pair of winter boots easily lasted a decade.
