A hole appeared in the heel of one sock the first time I wore them

I have finally figured out that because I wash my socks in hot water along with everything else, and the same thing goes for the dryer, I must ignore the sizing instructions that go with your socks. I wear a size 6 shoe, and I bought these socks in a women's LARGE size and washed them before wearing. Perfection!

I was looking for navy socks that I have purchased in the past. The color selections seemed greatly reduced. I ended up buying black.

Love these socks, have worn them for years. I ordered the Dark Sage color which is not as shown on the website. They are definitely not dark or green. Look more like light gray with a slight tinge of green.

I wear these Smartwool sox with both shoes & boots. The Merino wool disburses heat build-up to keep my feet drier, warmer & more comfortable than ever - year round. Since I switched to Smart Wool Sox, I have been able to comfortably walk longer & further than before. And, that's saying something for a "senior citizen" athletic man who needs to exercise daily to stay fit! I'm with Smartwool all the way!

Not sure why these are labeled as women's specifically. I think the cable-knit looks classy and great for work attire. But these are my go-to. I'll be slowly adding more over time.

I love to wear these cable crew socks with loafers in the winter time or really any issue for that matter because it keeps my feet warm and dry through these cold New England months.

I like that this style is not as tight on my leg as some are. Quite comfortable.

Perfect for dress pants/work. Not too hot on cold days in Wisconsin. Fit well in dress/casual shoes. The small almost perfect size, but were a bit too small, but I would rather have a bit small than way too big.

I bought these for my picky husband. He usually has a difficult time finding socks that are stylish, durable, soft, made of mostly natural materials, and are not too tight around his calfs. The latter criteria is usually the most important. These SmartWool socks fit the bill, perfectly! Would definitely recommend to any other pick guys out there!

These socks are warm, comfy, soft and durable

They work for boots, clogs, everyday shoes, tennis shoes, and slippers. I love the feel, and they work in everything but the hottest and coldest of conditions.

My go to style when I need warmth but a thinner sock. I have several pairs of these in different colors. They are perfect for any occasion!

I wear these everyday from October through March. Great for Maine winters. I have been purchasing and wearing these socks for years because they are always comfortable, always warm,and very durable.

These socks are nice and warm, and have the added benefit of being thin enough that I can wear them to work with casual dress shoes. I've washed them at least 5 times and so far have air dried them. They dry quickly and have stayed like new. I really like the chalk purple color.

I've been wearing these socks for over 10 years. I have SEVERAL colors. I really like this new color...lavender. Would love to see some of discontinued colors back...especially brown and army green.

Great wool socks without cushioned sole so they fit well in flat shoes and short boots. Very warm. I have a hard time finding these Sox in black except for LLBean or directly from Smartwool,
