I wore these socks once and when I went to put them on a second time, there was a hole in one of them.

I got these for Christmas. And they've already worn through the sole. Right where the ball of my foot sits. Not a fan of the quality.

It claims to fit if your shoe size is a 6 or 6/12, which is my size, but the heel keeps pulling up under the arch of my foot. Too Small!

These socks do not stay up and slide down into the LL Bean loafers that I bought. I have not tried them with other shoes.

Title says it all - wore it once before washing and it was great that I almost bought more immediately after. Thank goodness I didn't because they lost their elasticity after the first wash. I did not use the dryer and opted to hang them dry. They keep sinking as I walk in them.

I ordered a medium but socks were too small, made with flimsy material, and I didn't like the color.

I ordered a pair in natural, but received a pair which I believe to be medium gray that was mislabeled natural.

I kept a pair and returned this pair as not at all what I wanted. I returned them over a week ago and still no sign of my refund. Thinking I will not order or buy your product again.

I LOVE Smartwool socks and have been wearing them for years. I have some pairs that are more than 5 years old, but these had holes after only wearing them for 3 months. Not the usual Smartwool quality.

The leg of the sock does not taper, or open up... built like a tube sock... very tight, cuts off circulation... if you are a man of size... and do not have chicken legs...

The socks are just what I needed: they fit well and are warm but lightweight.

Size chart is way out. Socks were far too small. Delivery was much longer than indicated on the order. Sent the socks back for a refund.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Thin, flimsy - they fall off the feet because there is zero elasticity in them. I have hand knitted socks that fit better ...

This pair is to tight around the top and need to return for a refund. The socks are very nice otherwise.

Very poor quality! There was very little elasticity in the socks and they did not stay up at all. They fit as if they were completely stretched out and sagged. Poor quality considering they were Smartwool, a trusted name! Disappointed that LL Bean continued to carry them after several poor reviews, which I found after I purchased them! I already gave a poor review to LL Bean and had no response.. Do not buy them!

These socks don't feel anything like Smartwool socks used to. Do they even contain wool anymore? They feel like a cheap sock and they don't stay up! The heel ends up under the middle of my foot. I bought two pairs and they are completely unwearable.

I had to send them back. The foot part was too big and the top of the socks fell down as if they had no elastic in them. As crew socks they are way too short. I got a size small and my shoe size is 6 1/2 to 7. I've never actually had such poorly designed socks before. I could be wrong but it seems like the sizing of smart wool socks are larger. I bought another pair of cushioned hiking which also ended up being too large, but I can use for a certain pair of boots. I never used to have this problem with Smartwool. Too bad.

Very disappointed. I have worn Smartwool socks since the 1990's with never a problem. This was my first time purchasing them online. I ordered and received 3 pairs: all women's medium. Each was labeled medium but they were different sizes. I mailed them back last week and requested a refund.

I really like these socks and was happy to see that a dark sage (dark green) color was available. Unfortunately, the color received was more of a light grey and seems to match the color on the website that is "natural". The package says that the socks are dark sage. I have talked with customer service twice to get this corrected. I was sent replacement socks but they aren't green either. Now I have 4 pairs of these socks in the wrong color. Someone at Smartwool needs to fix this labeling problem.

I wore and washed them once and there are numerous broken elastic threads peeking through the fabric along the top edge. One sock has even started unraveling along the top edge. I've been buying Smartwool socks for many years, but this is the last time.
