The socks are great. What is not great is receiving unsolicited emails from Smartwool wanting me to shill for their company for free. People have enough to deal with in their lives today. Quit adding to that burden by sending trash emails to make yourself feel good. People know the socks are good - that is why we order them in the first place. Don't chase us to another vendor with crap emails!!

The material is thin and not soft like most of the wool socks that I have bought in the past. They just feel kinda cheap for the price that I paid. I hope this means that they will wear better than the socks I've bought in the past. I like the design and the color (why is it so hard to find dark blue casual socks???)

Do not recommend; the socks were a bit short before washing but shrinks and no longer fit my feet after the first wash.

These are very nice socks, a little snug in the sizing

I normally love Smartwool socks and was pleased to find them at the LL Bean flagship store. I bought them in July for the Fall, and after a handful of wearings there is a large hold in the heel of one. Very disappointed in the quality especially for the price. I did love all my other LL Bean brand purchases though!

Not long after purchasing, I notice they were becoming thread bare in one particular spot. This was the same in all of my socks of this style. This is not an issue with other styles.

These socks are just ok. For some reason the cable pattern makes them fit differently. Maybe too loose and sloppy in their fit.

I've been looking for a great "dress" sock, and thought I found it. However, these socks are very thin on the opposite side of the logo. After gentle wear for a year, there is practically no fabric under my toes (see photo). I don't want cushion on my socks, but I do want the same amount of fabric on the sole as there is on the top. Smartwool, please make quality socks that last.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I have an older pair of this sock that I've had for years and it's still great. This new one was not only too short even though I ordered within the size chart guidelines, but it was much thinner than my old pair and looked like it wouldn't last.

The socks are weirdly bunchy in the heel area, and fall down constantly. Not great - and I bought several pairs :(!

I was excited to get these socks, but they have started to fall apart after one wear. This is not typical of a L.L. Bean product.

These socks don't feel like they breathe like they used to upon further research, Smartwool brags on their website of including recycled plastic. Their goal is 100% recycled plastic. My feet can tell the difference now.

I got these for Christmas. And they've already worn through the sole. Right where the ball of my foot sits. Not a fan of the quality.

It claims to fit if your shoe size is a 6 or 6/12, which is my size, but the heel keeps pulling up under the arch of my foot. Too Small!

These socks do not stay up and slide down into the LL Bean loafers that I bought. I have not tried them with other shoes.

Title says it all - wore it once before washing and it was great that I almost bought more immediately after. Thank goodness I didn't because they lost their elasticity after the first wash. I did not use the dryer and opted to hang them dry. They keep sinking as I walk in them.

I ordered a medium but socks were too small, made with flimsy material, and I didn't like the color.

I ordered a pair in natural, but received a pair which I believe to be medium gray that was mislabeled natural.

I kept a pair and returned this pair as not at all what I wanted. I returned them over a week ago and still no sign of my refund. Thinking I will not order or buy your product again.

I LOVE Smartwool socks and have been wearing them for years. I have some pairs that are more than 5 years old, but these had holes after only wearing them for 3 months. Not the usual Smartwool quality.

The leg of the sock does not taper, or open up... built like a tube sock... very tight, cuts off circulation... if you are a man of size... and do not have chicken legs...
