I had two pairs of the Asics Gel-Venture 6 and really liked them. I just got the v7, and I will be returning them. Outwardly the v6 and v7 don't look that different, but there are several small tweaks. The seam where the upper connects to the midsole doesn't seem very sturdy because I can see the line of glue going all the way around the shoe (if you know to look for it, you can see the glue seam if you zoom in closely on the photos, especially around the toe cap). The new shoelaces are terrible, too thin for running shoe, that look and feel like they are cutting into the tongue and eye holes. The lacing system is a bit different, and combined with the laces, does not seem as sturdy or as comfortable (and putting old laces into new shoes didn't fix the problem). On the plus side, the shoe seems slightly lighter than v6 and Asics added the extra hole at the top so you can tie a lace lock if needed.

This shoe fits like a 6.5 more than a true 7. They are also slippery on the bottom, so it's tricky to walk on a treadmill!! Overall, a disappointment. Just because these were "lower priced" sneakers, doesn't mean that I should've had NO expectations for comfort or performance.

They changed the design so that the shoe is tighter and more narrow around the ball of your foot. Plan to return these :(

I bought the ASICS Gel Venture 7 as a back up to my ASICS Gel Kahana trail runners that I have loved for years, but are wearing out. I wish ASICS would bring back the Kahana trail running shoe. The Gel Venture 7 insole feels mushy, as if it's made from cheap foam; it does feel as solid or stable as the Kahana insole, which also is Gel. Out of the box, these Gel Venture 7's support was about the same as the Kahanas that I've owned for over 7 years. The outer sole does feel stable. Although I did keep these shoes, I have to say these are suitable for shopping and running errands or light activities. But for walking or running, there must be a better shoe out there that would provide a better insole, better support and cushion without feeling like a cheap foam.

Finding sadly more & more shoes without any arch support these days & this is one of them. Also not wide enough for me.

Ouch! I've worn Asics for years and these caused blisters on the heel. Smaller toe box too (size 11). Going back!

They look and feel great at first but after about 4 months the support was completely gone. You get what you pay for. Going back to Hokas.

They don't arrive looking like the photo on website. There is no bright green in the shoe I received. I returned.

Way too wide. I have narrow feet, so not a big surprise, but these are also not very supportive. I need more stability for my flat, narrow feet. Too bad ASICS stopped making narrows. I’ll try the GT 2000s for now, as they feel more stable and less wide.

Shoes are nice colored. no where can I find that these are good for plantar fasciitis, wish there was some information about this for reassurance purposes.

I do like the style and support of this shoe, but after several 12 hour shifts on my feet, there's an annoying 'rub' on the left heel which I had hoped would work itself out, but it persists. I have tried to wear thicker socks, put a heel insert in, but it's still there. Since it isn't happening on the right, I assume it's a factory defect. Pity because they are nice shoes otherwise. Too late to return since I've worn them at least 40 hours at work.

The shoe felt too tight as the material is very hard. It is not soft and doesn't move with your foot. NIce colors on shoe which attracted me but overall very disappointed. I return the shoes still waiting for a refund.

Sorry that I have to return these shoes, but the tongues of the shoes are large and so stiff that they scratch against my foot. Also, I've never had to order up to such a larger size before, definitely run small.

They were not comfortable. I tried 2 different arch supports in these, the ones I use in all my shoes. Nothing worked with these. I am very disappointed with the shoes. Zappos customer service is awesome, as always!

I've worn previous versions of this style for running and they worked well for me, but for some reason this version of the shoe doesn't offer enough cushion for my toes. I think this shoe is lighter, which some people might prefer, but I'm missing some support. After running with them my toes hurt painfully.

I returned them because the heel was too loose. My feet were slipping up with each step.

Disappointed with Asics. The Gel 6 was so comfortable. The padding on 7 is aggressive. Returned.

These shoes are far "bulkier" in person than they seemed online - they look like a beefy trail running shoe, which is not the look I was going for, so I returned them.

These shoes run small. I'm a size 11, but these shoes are smaller than other asics size 11 shoes. I had to order up to 11.5

These shoes are cute but really hurt my feet. Maybe they need a different arch support not sure...I usually like Asics so am surprised these fit so differently.
