Toe box is too low/tight. Had to size up a half-size, and still my (admittedly long) toes are getting mashed, which i think has to do with a lack of structure in the toe box. Otherwise they feel nicely padded and work fine w added (non rx) arch supports. The colors (red/mustard) are Great, and tan sole is so much better than white. They look great but I should probably return them for something that fits better, waaaa bummer!

I purchased two pair of venture 6 shoes in the last 18 months. Loved them. These are not as comfortable.

These look great and I love Asics, so it is difficult for me to give them a less than hardy review, but these are not like Asics past. I think I have typical 9B feet and can wear any brand that I have tried and I have tried many. My previous Asics fit perfect, but these are too snug in the width. Also, I was disappointed in the the shoelaces (not as substantial as previous models), and though I could have lived with the shoelaces, I couldn't live with the width so I returned. Though Asics disappointed me this time out, Zappos continues to rock.

These shoes run narrow in the width and toe box. Order up, but if you normally need room in the toe box, order another style.

On my feet all day at work, lots of walking. Unfortunately, no so comfortable for this level of activity.

I didn't wear them, very disappointed in Asics shoes in the past few years. They were always my go to brand because of my size.
The material is very poor and the construction not up to the previous models.
Cheap is the best way to describe the current Asics models. Very disappointed.
I'd also recommend:
Trying out Brooks, hopefully they won't disappoint.

Sorry I had to return these because they are too wide and slip around on my feet. They look nice but just too wide for me

I do have wide feet, and in the past Asics 8.5 wides have been a good fit. Not sure what's changed, but these shoes were so tight I could see the outline of my toes in the top of the toe box. The length was fine. Sadly, will have to send them back.
And just an FYI, the color shown on this site is much more subdued with color variance than the shoes I rec'd. What I rec'd was more black, grey and the laces and the soles were very fluorescent in color.

I read reviews and really wanted to keep these sneakers. I ordered 2 different sizes, the 7 medium and the 6.5 wide women's. I have worn Brooks for over 20 yrs. so it's a big deal to switch, or too find a shoe that fits. The only problem with both pairs of Asics was the way the tongue is sewn in the shoe. Material overlaps all around the top and rubs the right side of my foot on the regular and the wide. What ashame! I might try another pair of Asics and I thank Zappos for great CS and free returns.

I have plantar fasciitis and high arches, so I'm super picky about my athletic shoes. I typically walk more than four miles, every day, so I need something that will hold up and keep my feet feeling supported. My current shoe, which needs replacing, is the Vionic Satima, but at $139 they're a hard pill to swallow. I was hoping to find something less expensive with the same type of firm, highly-arched insole. Unfortunately, the ASICS Gel-Venture 7 was not it. I could have put in a pair of Vionic insoles, but that would increase the cost of the shoes, reducing the savings I was hoping to achieve. Ultimately, I decided to bite the bullet and get another pair of the Satimas. They have the firm high-arch support I need, right out of the box, without needing to buy anything extra.
I'd also recommend:
Toms, Vionic

I'm getting tired of ordering athletic shoes that are marked WIDE, yet NOT cut wide. This is the fourth pair I have returned for the same reason. This shoe felt perfect everywhere else, except it is not a true wide. It is not my foot, I have double checked.

I’ve worn ASICS for years; my feet love them. This style didn’t work for me. I put this shoe on my left foot while keeping my current ASICS shoe on the right foot. This one made my foot look huge, appearing 2 sizes bigger than my “old” style. I don’t care for the shoelaces — they are thin strips of a nylon feel fabric-type material that don’t seem to maintain the tied position. Like you’d need to keep retrying them or something. I can’t speak accurately to the arch support, although it seems ok — I have to wear superfeet insoles in all my shoes

I’m a fairly frequent runner and this was my first ASIC shoe. While I find it a very nice looking shoe I didn’t find it very comfortable. There was very little support and almost no cushion. I may stay with Skechers.

Fit ok but not as much cushion as I’d like. Plus, the dominant color is navy, not black. Returning.

I had an earlier version of this style that I liked. This one is ok but has some negatives. First, it is not black and silver and described--it is very clearly a navy blue with lavender and aqua trim. That's fine, but it's puzzling that the description was so wrong. I have a short (5 1/2) narrow foot but I need a roomy toe box due to arthritis. The toe box seems ok but the heel keeps slipping. I tried a different lacing which helped some, but the laces seem thin and too stretchy. Also the overall material seems much cheaper than the previous model. I think I can live with these flaws. Just wish it was easier to find something that works, but because I need a 5 1/2, my choices are limited.

I have been wearing Asics Venture shoes for years. I bought these thinking it was a sure thing they would fit and feel great. I was disappointed to find that the toe box is smaller so my little toes rubbed. I also don’t like that the insole is no longer removable and feels cheaper and more spongy than before. I loved how these looked, though, and really wish they hadn’t changed so much. I returned them.

These shoes are cosmetically appealing and, as other reviews have noted, not as brightly colored as they appear (I got blue). Unfortunately on a short walk around my office, they chafed on the outside of my midfoot, below my little toe. I do not have wide feet. I bought these to wear hiking in Acadia National Park & I can't wear anything that will rub. So, back they go!

These felt good for the most part, seemed really supportive but the shoe is pretty pointed in the front, even in a wide. Didn’t feel wide enough for me, and too narrow/pointed in the toe box. Had to return.

I did not feel like this shoe was going to be supportive enough. They seemed to collapse too easily while walking. I was also not a fan of the sole design. I sent these back and optioned for ASICS in a different, slightly higher priced style which I was happier with

I bought these to replace an old version of the same shoe. They have made the toe box much lower so although the size was correct, I could feel my toenails on my big toe hitting the top of the shoe. Very uncomfortable. Compared them to my old pair to figure out what the difference was since they were the same length. Had to return them.

These are totally different from the 6s as they have a foam insert. Some people will love it. I don’t like anything squishy so I had to return. They are much cuter than the 6s but I will need to go back and get them. Also the tongue seemed oddly bigger.

Shoe felt true to size, and true to width. Ankle area felt very supportive. I removed the insoles and slipped in my custom orthotics. I did not feel that the shoes were cushioned enough my uses. Maybe if I used the insoles that came with the shoe they would have felt cushioned enough? But honestly, the Asics insoles did not seem like they would be cushioned enough for my uses either.

I used to wear ASICS but have switched around a lot the last few years. I was looking for a new good running shoe to help with my foot/ankle issues. (Oh heavens I have them... plantar fasciitis, ankle spurs, and 4 months ago I fractured my ankle bone.) Despite all that, I like to walk - a lot of miles. I ordered 4 pairs from Zappos and ended up keeping the Brooks Ghost 11 (awesome shoe!). When I tried on the ASICS, it seemed very stiff and uncomfortable. Maybe it'd get better after some use, but just didn't want to try it. Was hoping the ASICS would work due to a lower price tag, but that didn't happen. Thank you Zappos for free shipping both ways; I always find at least one pair I have to keep!
