It's been a while since I ordered new shoes. I've always ordered the same size in the Gel-Kayano series. These fit a little tighter than the previous models in the series. That works for me since I had a little wiggle room in the past, but this may not work for others.

I am finding these not comfortable right out of the box as previous versions have been. The collar around the ankle is thicker and not necessarily more comfortable (rubs). The shoelaces are also elastic and way too long. (Running shoelaces should never stretch) The shoelaces on the Gel-Kayano 27 were perfect. Elastic shoelaces need to go away.

The toe box feels bigger and less stable. My foot moves around way too much. Prefer the toe box on the 28.

It is such a great walk in these shoes. My feet felt like very comfortable and pain free after a long day.

I love the Kayanos. Been buying them for over ten years!! That said, in the past few years the width has been too large. But this years' the width is even bigger that last year. My foot sometimes slides around and I'm afraid it may not be stable. I love the arch support however.

Lots of cushion in the sole. The only negative is the shoe is a little snug at the heel and toe. Feels fine for the first day but developed blisters with extended use. This will resolve in time but limits use in the first few weeks.

Great shoe that works well for 12 hr shift nurses. My daughter has a pair & requested another color for Xmas. Only problem is the new pair was too short. She has always worn 7 1/2 in ASICS & this particular style. Will return them & order 1/2 size up.

Not as cushiony as my gel kayano 28. A little stiffer

These, unfortunately fit quite different than the gel kayano shoes I have purchased in the past. I have worn this style for years to hep with planters faciitis, but these do not fit the same. They seem to be bigger in the toe area and are not as comfortable. I'm a tad disappointed.

They are comfortable but I should have ordered a size up.

Nice design, very bouncy with excellent cushioning and arch support. Slightly tight in the toe box area.

They are not as comfortable as the Gel Kayano 27''s that I originally started wearing. My podiatrist recommended ASICS and my first pair was extremely comfortable. The ball of my foot needs the added cushioning support. I have Kayano 28's that are not as comfortable and my Kayano 29's are better just not as comfortable as the 27's. What changed? I alsO have orthodoxies that I have to insert. I wear a 8 1/2 but have to order a 9 1/2 so that they fit.

Kayano's have consistently been an excellent shoe; this one feels a bit different but very comfortable.

I actually enjoyv the Kayano 28 better. The 29 seems to rub the toe box a little more which tends to irritate my big toe.

I wear a Ladies 12. I don't have a wide foot, it is long. These feel wider in the toe area, and it makes me have to tie them tighter (which makes the laces really long). I really loved the 28's and 27's. They are a WONDERFUL color. I love that! These replace my gym only shoes that I wear when I work out. (I got the Green ones)

love the kayano 29. I also tried the 30 which was horrible. will see if any 29 left in my size and will buy again

I'd like a little more cushioning and more durable soles.They wear out much faster than other brands. I haven't made up my mind about the roomier toe box. I think it's an improvement.

Just what my podiatrist told me about when she recommended Asics.

I love these shoes!! I have arthritis in both knees and these help with balance. I've tried a number of other brands and this is my favorite. My originals needed an update sooooo I went for what I know.

Comfortable shoes. The black and purple didn't help with my plantar fasciitis, but the pink pair did.

Love this shoe. The style and color make it very versatile, and they are sooooo comfy. I really like how it hugs the arch and ankle. I don't even need the laces, which is a good thing because they are so snug, I can't really tie them without cutting off circulation. No worries, I use them like a slip-on. The toe box is wider than other Kayano - so wide that I had to downsize from 8 to 7.5. This is now my go to for everything except running, which is why it has 4 stars rather than 5...I can't use them for running because of the inconsistency between the fit of the toe box and rest of shoe. I don't recommend the MK for running but definitely recommend if you walk and/or stand long hours.

I have had Kayano 26, 27, 28, 29. They offer good support but ... I find their comfort drops after 100 miles of running. While the sole may last 300-400 miles I am not happy that these shoes lose their cushy feeling too quickly and if Asics offers a new insole option I can't find it. That said, I will buy a third pair of 29's soon and look forward to Kayano 30
