I feel that the quality of GEL-KAYANO has decreased from the previous versions. This version feels "cheap".

I love this shoe but in less than a month, they started to come apart. The sole of the shoe started to come unglued after 8 wears.

Didn’t like the color, make more in wide widths in the smaller sizes

A solid, stability cushioned shoe. At a great price, bit I feel not quite as wide as my preferred Nimbus.

Overall these shoes are fine. I bought them to help with my heel pain, which was pretty bad for a while. I have high arches and narrow feet, so I thought these might help give me that extra support, but every time I wear them my heel pain gets worse. I can walk for awhile, but after a mile or so I'm hobbled. I tried my Brooks to see if it was just me and it's not, it's these shoes. I'm returning them, they're just not what I thought they would be.

I've been using GEL-KAYANO's since 2016. Loved them... until now. This is the first sneaker in 7 years to give me blisters, serious blisters. I'm using the same type of running socks - the only change is the updated number.

Harder tread makes for longer lasting trail rated ware. A more rigid build makes for longer lasting shoe. Two things I'm not a fan of. 1- outer sole tread is getting thinner by the years. Once worn out there is just foam. 2- I'm not a big fan of the colors or pattern options. It seems ASICS deliberately gave higher end shoes better patterns and color options. That was not the case 10 years ago. I've owned ASICS shoes for running since 1991.

They are comfortable, but the fabric in the toe box of both shoes parted within a few months, leaving slowly widening holes that are quite unattractive. I use these shoes for walking, not running.

I really did not enjoy the fit with these shoes. For me, I had a problem with the abundance of padding at the opening of the shoe. This made it feel snugger around my foot than normal. I also feel that with such a fit it may wear out the fabric at the opening a bit more. Needless to say these will be returned.

unfortunately the size of the 29s runs .5 inch or so smaller than previous (27s) same size. I am size 14 and could not even finish one run in these due to pain and have been using kayano 27 for about 2 years now. I like the extra cushion and ankle support but they need to fix the size as I am not sizing up due to a product flaw.

Smaller than Nike for sure. I should have gotten the extra wide. They are too snug.

A true flat footer here. The comfort and joy began to fade after 7 miles.

thought it was a little weird. Ive been purchasing the Gel Kayano for years, when this one came out I didnt hesitate to oreder BUT - It felt different. the toe in front points upward, made for an unusual fit. stick with the KAYANO 28!

I've owned 5 pair of these shoes, slightly different design each time. I keep buying them because they come in extra wide and are very comfortable initially. Giving them a 3 star rating though due to the soles wearing out prematurely. For some reason they start to fall apart with large chunks of the sole falling out leaving that shoe less stable. I've never had that happen with other shoes so not sure why it happens on these. Something about the rubber they use I suppose. But again, even if I get 1 year of use I keep buying them because they are so nice the first 6-9 months.

I ordered these in extra wide. When I opened the box I thought that the wrong size was sent, because they looked so narrow. However, the box and Kayanos said extra wide on them. Unlike my older extra wide Kayanos , these were incredibly tight and unwearable.

Overall very good improvements. But last for the toes / front of foot appears to have reverted back to the 25 series and below. It was much more comfortable with the wider front section that came in around version 26/27.

Greatly disappointed in this shoe. For 30+ years I have run in Asics. The shoes have changed and become stiffer, less supportive and just uncomfortable for distance. The Kayano was touted as a softer ride and I thought I would try it out. After a few weeks in these I find myself pulling out my worn out Hokas because they are a better ride than even the new Kayano. I have to say this will probably be my last pair of Asics

Awful fit and nothing like the Asics Kayano line that I have worn for the past ten years. First of all, the sizing was far too large compared to the size I typically get. The style of the snug mesh top doesn't lend itself to durability. I was hoping for the best when trying out this model, but I'm definitely going back to the regular Asics Gel-Kayano.

Comfortable shoe for someone with peroneal tendonitis. Just wish they were more durable. The tab to slide them on broke after 2 months.

I have 2 other pairs of ASICS in the same size that I love. Unfortunately this particular pair is about a half size too small.

I've been wearing Asics for ~30 years and have always loved them, especially with my flat feet. For the first time I ordered my newest pair online, and the fit was totally different. Don't know how this is possible, it's the same size (12) I've worn for decades. I have to keep the shoe very loosely tied or the front half of my feet go numb after about 1.5-2 miles.
