The material and construction is amazing. The fit just wasn't right for me. They were baggier than I thought they would be for slim pants, and there was not taper at the bottom. If the fit was on, I would buy a couple more pairs.

The size was true. I wear a 32x32 these days at 5'10" and 160 lbs. I initially got the 30x32 based on reviews and it was too small. Sent it back and got a 32x32 and it was perfect. I love the zipper pocket inside he pocket in the back. My only gripe is that they are not the softest material. It's water repelling but a bit scratchy. Not terrible but not the most comfortable either.

The pants seemed nice, I liked the pockets and material / look. However, they were very long on the pants and tight around the thighs. Also, did not feel too flexible. For reference, I normally wear slim jeans 32/32.

I decided to wait a month before writing a review to see how the pants held up after a few washes. I originally purchased them for a 2 week trip to Europe. I ended up wearing this pant more than my jeans - the Slim Rivet packed smaller and was lighter too. I think this will be my go to travel pant and be extremely handy when trying to pack light. Overall I would rate 4/5, the ding being for comfort. Style: The pants have a versatile denim straight leg fit. They can be dressed up or down and look equally good with a t-shirt or dress shirt. Fit/function: The material is not that stretchy. There is a little give, but I had to size up for a more comfortable fit. The fabric inside is also not too soft. In certain cases, I did feel some friction/abrasion with activity. I would probably not wear these pants while lounging around. The pants are light and wick moisture pretty well. On hot days my sweat dried quickly, and much faster than denim. The front pockets could be a little bigger. My hands are small, but I even struggled when taking my phone in and out of the left pocket. In some cases if I was sitting, I had to stand to insert/remove items. I do not like the watch/phone pocket though. This is in the same location as a normal coin pocket, but I keep my phone in my left pocket. When I used the phone pocket for change (by habit) it was near impossible to pull the coins out because of the pocket depth. I would have liked this pocket on the other side (or on both pockets?). Durability: After about 6 washes and 6 weeks of wear, the pants show some minimal stretching in the seat/thigh area. The color hasn't faded, and the DWR is still going strong. Water still beads on it like new.

Overall fit and quality of material is great. Only complaint is the front pocket openings are tight. My larger than average hands don't fit in them very smoothly.

Sizing guide seems to be off. The 28 claim to have a 13.25" leg opening, but the real opening is 14". Bummer as I was super excited to find an active pant that would be a good fit for my sunny frame. That said, the pants have a feel of hiking pants, in fact a friend said they looked like them. I climbed in them with ease and they seem to hold up against the rock wall. Chalk is still hard to brush off, but everything else is a simple wipe away. Water resistance is good for a drizzle, but anything more than that you will be wet.

Ordering and receiving my pants was an easy and painless experience. Just wish they had a little more flex in them but otherwise a wonderful product

These are really cool pants. My only wish was that they were just a little bit more stretchy. But they are very durable and strong. The cut is awesome too. I'm 5'10 165 lbs. and the size 30 fits well. Again, if the waist had just a little more stretch, they'd be perfect. But it's doable. Great pants. I'd recommended for sure.

First I ordered the size 28 pant. The length was perfect but the waist was too tight. I asked for an exchange for a size 30 and the waist was almost perfect but just a tad too loose. The problem was the length of the pants. After getting them hemmed, the cuff was a bit wider than I would have liked. The pants themselves we're comfy but I wish it was offered in a size 29.

Great material and the cell phone pocket actually fits a large phone. Would like the knee to ankle a little more slim. A great pant.

Love the color and the new fit is better around the hips, but the pockets are feel smaller in width and more centrally located so not as comfortable with a hands-in-pocket stance:I liked the original, smaller iPhone pocket better too - who needs a phone that big?! Either way, still in love with all my WR gear. Thanks!

I ended up returning these pants. They fit well and seemed comfortable, but were a little heavy, and the cut was not really what I was looking for. The evolution pants were much more what I wanted.

I ordered these to try for one-bag travel for work and for a 10 day National Park trip this summer. Haven't gotten to use much yet but the material seems well suited for that. I ordered these in Size 30 and they were a little too small. Got Size 32 instead, which fit better but are maybe a tad too large. May get them altered. Very impressed by return process and overall service.

These pants are comfy, they look nice, work as advertised, and feel very durable. My only complaint with them is that they make a very small "woosh" noise when you walk in them; kind of like track pants. It's certainly not a big deal, and I'm probably in the minority here. It might be unavoidable on account of the fabric used. Just something to think about if that's something that bugs you.

These pants are really cool. The nylon material isn't as stretchy as I thought it'd be. But the durability of the material is awesome. I ordered a size 30, it was a little snug around the waist. If they were an inch looser around the waist they'd be perfect. The measurements on the chart are pretty accurate.

I never ordered any clothes without trying them first, so I was a bit anxious to order these pants. They came in through the mail after 7 days, no hurdles or surprises there (which is a great start). Since I'm rather the skinny type and have difficulty finding pants that fit me right away, I was also scared that I would have to return because they would not fit. Also, I wasn't sure about the fabric since I did not have the opportunity to see them before placing the order. Ultimately, I arrived at work, opened the bag and took out the pants and was first highly pleased with the color. Wanting to know if they would fit, I put them on right away and... the fit perfectly! Got to say I was relieved. The waist was just tight enough to hold on the waist and with a belt, it was even better. The length was also great. For a more relaxed style, I would leave them as is, and for work, I would simply roll them once inside and they would sit just right on the shoes. So ultimately: good job! Finally some stylish pants that are designed and fabricated with the environment in mind. That said, I have not put a perfect mark because I am still waiting for the ultimate test: durability. If they do not change color dramatically or tear in some places after three years, then I'll come back and change my rating to full stars. Once again, nice work team!

I have worn the new Slim Rivet pants for a couple weeks, and my overall impression is quite positive, with a couple of minor reservations. The pants certainly appear very durable, are a good weight, and are comfortable, even in warm temperatures. But during a camping/hiking/hotel trip into the high desert they noticeably picked up and "showed" dirt and dust (probably accentuated by the black fabric). For me, the sizing is also a bit disappointing, as the "34"" waist size is indeed 35" and the 32" inseam appeared too long, requiring hemming (and additional expense) before wearing. My 34-32 Levis, by comparison, fit perfectly. Naturally, your sizing/experience may differ from mine. Overall, I'm glad I have these pants and will probably use them more often in the urban and rainy environment that's normal around me. I think they'll be well-suited.

I love one of my pairs of AT Slim Rivets. My favorite pair of pants, hands down. I normally wear a 32 or 33 waist and am 6'1", so my fave pair is size 32 and I let out the hem at the bottom to extend the length. They're comfy, wear well, and can be worn over and over before washing. No complaints about that pair. Now for the one strike against these. I have 2 more pairs. Well, I had 2 more pairs. Now I only have 1 more pair. I also have a size 34, which is too big, but not quite bad enough to get rid of them. The other pair was also a size 32, but it was WAY too tight. Like, I couldn't get it buttoned, even though I wear another size 32 of the same pants almost every week. If these were just ever so slightly bigger in the waist and thighs, I'd never wear anything else. As is, I give them 4 stars because if they fit, they're the best.

Being 6'3, my Slim pants are fashionably short in the length, but I would prefer that they come longer, so I can have the option to roll up the legs. Otherwise, great pants!

Saw these pants in a travel blog and asked for them as a gift and got them! Very comfortable, with a denim feel to the hand without the denim tightness behind the knee. The pants are great in a travel situation as the wear aboard pair; protective enough while schlepping the bags and comfortable enough to run if needed while stretchy enough to sleep comfortably on a flight. I can finally travel in jeans again. I'm very pleased and will try to get my spouse into a pair as well . I was a little surprised as to the hint if green in the shadow color. Not offended, just surprised .
