Yes, these are indeed an evolution of the pant. They've kept me warm when cool, and cool when warm. My only preference would be more of a taper to the leg.

I am very selective in the type and brand of pants I buy and wear. It took me a long time to find this one. Main selling point is the fabric. The feel and the weight are amazing. I live in Texas and it is a perfect pant for hot weather. Not kidding. I just order second pair (same color for me - Navy). It will be my new uniform instead of AG jeans. Sizing was a bit off for me. I like my pants fitted so I went with 32 waist 32/34 (6'1" 190 athletic fit) and it was a bit too tight in a waist and legs. So I returns and exchanged for 34w and 32/34 length. It's perfect. A bit loose st the waist but with a belt it's perfect event though I do not use the belt. I love minimalist clothing and this is exactly it. Do not hesitate - I think you are going to love it.

Loved them on a trip to Europe. Wore just about every day for 2 weeks. Comfortable & stayed looking nice.

These khakis feel not only comfortable, but also lasting. Love the pockets, the one that fits my phone without getting in the way when bending, the other a backpocket with zipper for cards & cash. Size perfect.

Great fabric;light without being too thin, any kind of liquid just does not penetrate. Great fit;tailored without being too skinny. For me they could have a teeny bit more stretch but overall these are magic.

Bought my first pair discounted on Kickstarter and absolutely loved it. Gladly paid full price for my 2nd pair. An extremely versatile pair of pants - I wear nothing else these days

Been wearing them around in the steamy Texas weather, and am impressed by how well they handle the humidity. The fit seems closer to a more traditional boot cut, but ever so slightly slim. Since receiving these I've found myself reaching for these pants in preference to any other, they feel just that good. My only wish is that there were more colors with a size 30 inseam.

I'm cursed with a dryer that wrinkles EVERYTHING ; except these pants. Have you ever had a piece of clothing or pair of shoes so good you wore completely through them? And then, when they broke down 5 or 10 years later, you wished you had purchased multiple pairs as backups so you could've worn them the rest of your life? These pants are those products, and that's why I invested in all 3 colors.

I am a big fan of the AT Slim Rivet pants and these Evolution pants are similar, but in a noticeably lighter-weight fabric. So far so great!

Was skeptical of 100% nylon fabric pants being comfortable and cool. They are! Took them on a 2 week vacation to Europe. They ended up being the pants I wore most often.

I bought one pair of these pants based on a review I saw on YouTube. They are even better than I thought they were going to be and I had high expectations going in. I will buy several more pairs of these pants they fit perfectly and I can't say enough about the construction or the light weight and ease of use. 38/32 is true to sizing

Pants are very light but durable. I bought them for a trip to Iceland anticipating rainy weather but very obvious they can be worn for everyday conditions.

I backed the original Kickstarter project with some skepticism (everyone is claiming to hold the best 5-pocket pant ever made title), but I remained hopeful that Western Rise was going to deliver. Well, I now own all three colors. Enough said!

This was my second pair of evolution pants the first one I got through the kickstarter campaign and they truly deliver on everything that was promised. I went ahead and got the second pair since I love them so much. The only color I am missing now is the khaki but I see those being added to my wardrobe soon

I have been on a quest for the perfect pair of pants and have found then with the Evolution Pant. I have two pair and will probably order my third soon. I can where then ANYWHERE! Please keep making more colors. These will replace so many other jeans, khakis, and cords.

Two days wearing them and love them. The media pocket holds a phone firmly and comfortably. No bulge.

The Evolution pants are great for travel. They pack very tight and are lite but strong. I love the fifth pocket where my iPhone fits perfectly. The stretch fabric facilitates all kind of movement and does not wrinkle. Don't get me wrong, they are perfect for everyday use, too and stylish enough to wear for a night out. I got my second pair in Navy recently.

I love these pants. After decades in jeans and khakis these are a great upgrade!

This purchase was speculative based on some YouTube reviews. I am 6'0" and 215, so there is really not much for me at a place like Banana Republic... everything is skinny skinny skinny! So. To find the Evolutipn pant in standard fit was a revelation! I love these pants a lot and will get any color they come in (now only 3). Super pants at a reasonable price!

First the these look like cloth, but they are very thin, their not kidding about rolling up the size of t-shirt. They are comfortable, fit well, and dry fast. The front phone pocket is very deep for my older Iphone so I did a small alternation hand sewing the phone pocket small, now it sits right wear I want it.
