I've gotta say (as I did in the headline), this is just a great pair of pants. I recently brought them along on a an extended business trip that took me through several countries in Europe, then on to India and to China. I needed to travel light, so I brought these and just one other pair of dress pants and a pair of jeans ; and these were by far my go-to most days. They really held up well, we're incredibly comfortable and have awesome features. They crushed the miles, it and I couldn't be happier with them.

The pants are ultra light and comfortable. Their customer service is really attentive and cares about their customers satisfaction

From the moment I put them on, I knew these pants were exactly what I was looking for. Lightweight, comfortable, durable, and easy to care for. I will definitely be buying another pair (when my size is back in stock). Congrats, you've got a customer for life!

I've only just got these, but they are already great pants. They fit well and because I got the charcoal version, they easily dress up if I'm going out. I haven't gotten to really put them through the ringer yet, but I'm definitely to take them on my next trip. They are really light, so I don't know that I would take them for cold weather, but spring through fall I think they'd be perfect.

When I came across Western Rise's campaign on Kickstarter for The Evolution Pan, I was interested in the proposed versatility and durability. I was part of the early-bird backers, and (nervously) received my pair the day before I left for two weeks of hiking/family visits on Maui & The Big Island back in January. I put my pair of Evolution Pants through hell. There was hardly a day during my trip that I wasn't hiking through mud/forest/lava rock/etc. for 6+ hours. I washed the pair at least four times at my cousin's, and despite that you would be hard-pressed to tell the difference between a brand new pair. Upon getting back though, I happily ordered an identical pair. I work as a Network Engineer & vCIO in the SF Bay Area. I have a lot of clients that I need to be dressed presentably around, and I never worry wearing The Evolution Pant. Walking to and from clients, however, is the only rest these pants get. Indoor climbing and gymnastics can be done in these not only with ease, but style and most importantly comfort. I climb <= 5.12b/c in my pairs of The Evolution Pant multiple times a week. Prior to my beloved pair of pairs I was climbing exclusively in joggers from a certain three-striped brand. Not anymore. Western Rise has gained my trust, and with that loyal customer. That being said, I happily became the first "Travel Bundle" pledge their latest Kickstarter campaign for the upcoming Limitless Merino Wool Shirt. I cannot wait. With Love, Matthew

These pants are great. They fit nicely and the materials are great. I have larger thighs/butt and these fit me comfortably while still fitting well. Definitely worth the money to upgrade to these! My only complaint is that the material does seem to make noise when you walk around in them (kind of how technical hiking pants sound). But that's minor.

These are great pants. At first I didn't know if spending this amount of money on a pair of pants would be worth it. I was wrong. These pants have been great for traveling and wearing around the town. The reason I think they are great for traveling is fabric. I tend to pack light and these were great for that. The fabric has the anti stain/spills built in. They don't need to be washed that often which is great when traveling. They are comfortable and look good. You can wear them around the city and out to a nice dinner. If there was one thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the fit. They tend to run small. I wear a 33-34 and had to buy a 36. I got myself a nice big booty so find pants is hard. These pants tend to ride a little lower on the waist as well. Overall great pants.

Truly great pants. Everything from the technical material to craftsmanship is stunning. Also the customer service did an amazing job with my sizing issue. Since the pants have a lot of stretch I would recommend going down one size for a slim contemporary fit.

Picked these up from the Kickstarter and was really impressed from the outset by the way the folks at Western Rise kept us in the loop with developments. Had them for a month or so now I'd guess and I find myself wearing them more and more often. Out cycling - Evolution Pants. Nipping down town - Evolution Pants. Yesterday I went for a ten mile hike up in the Yorkshire Dales and climbed up Ingleborough, wearing the Evolution Pants no less. Lightweight & comfortable, surprisingly warm and wind proof yet breathable, pocket layout works for me too and the stretch made them flow like a second skin. It was glorious and sunny down below yet windy and cold up top in the clouds. Never felt I'd made the wrong choice. I'd like to see how they perform in damper conditions, but after being out on the bike in heavy rain the only part of me that got wet was my backside. Lack of a mudguard would have been he main issue there though. The fit. Now these are super comfortable trousers I reckon. Much more tailored than I'm used to as I usually wear selvedge denim and these are narrower at the hem. However, I've quickly adapted and I like the way they look smart when worn with a shirt and decent shoes. I bought these as I travel a lot and saw them on the Carryology website with great reviews. Have to say I couldn't be happier. I'll likely grab another pair and maybe try some of the slim rivets too. It's what'll be in my pack anytime I'm away on the road for sure. I purchased the AT Rivet Pants a few months ago and I have been waiting for these to come back in stock ever since I heard about the upgrades. So glad they're in and they were definitely worth the wait!

I'm one of those weirdos that lives & works on the road full time w/ only a 40L backpack. So far, these are hands down the best "travel pants" I've found (comparing to Outlier, Makers & Riders, Proof, Bluffworks). They stretch, but not overly so, where it ends up looking like you're wearing pajamas or something. One note is that they are super thin; much thinner than say, Outlier SDs (which were pretty much my go-to before). I actually prefer this, but I imagine they won't be as warm as the SDs. Again, I see this as a plus. I hear the Slim Rivet pants are thicker but I haven't had a chance to pick them up yet, so maybe I'll do these for most occasions and have a pair of the Slim Rivet pants for when I'm in snowy weather. I've only had need to wear them about 10 times so far, so definitely not a comprehensive review. But so far, couldn't be happier.

I love these. The fit and cut is really nice, and they're really light.

Love them, can use them everywhere, I use them everyday, either my charcoal or khaki, very lightweight and resistant so far.

I have purchased many pairs of technical fabric pants over the years, and these are the first that can truly go from the boardroom with shirt and tie to riding my bike home in a t-shirt.

Perfect fit. Love the stretch fabric, looks suple and durable. Got it for travel, uses little room in the suitcase.The cell phone pocket is a great feature!

Live how they fit and especially like the zippered rear pocket for my wallet and the front pocket for my phone. I own two pairs and recently ordered a third pair for my son who will be traveling and studying abroad this summer.

I love these pants. I have the Navy and the Khaki and they fit perfect. Very comfortable!
