I wore this coat to a Bears game here in Chicago while it was snowing and 30 degree weather. It kept me very warm and dry. It was wonderful to see how the waterproof aspect really did its job because I didn't get wet at all. I never once felt cold. I love all the pockets where I can put my phone, headphones, gloves, etc.

Super warm! Love the coat but not the color. Really love the dark brown and found it elsewhere.

This jacket is perfect. I have been dealing with some freezing cold nights at work and this thing keeps me toasty. I'm 6' 240lbs and the XL was too short in the sleeves so I went to XXL. North face was painless to work with on the exchange too. I wonder why it took me this long to get a TNF jacket this one is great.

Great look, poor design. The velcrow along the zipper attaches to the jacket cuffs and any sweater you wear underneath damaging the material. Ive worn the jacket 5 times and the cuffs are shredded. Sleeves are also too short (the next size up got baggier, but sleeve length didnt change).

Bought this for my husband. He loves it, says it feels like he's wearing a blanket. He's gotten compliments about it too from coworkers.

Bought these for my boys and they were super excited. I have an older one that is different in two important ways--read on. Boys did nothing in Bombers but wear occasionally in the house for a quick step outside. Still have tags on. And the fabric cuff IS ALREADY FRAYING. Why? The Velcro snaps that augment the zipper keep rubbing on the cuffs and causing them to fray. This started within 3 days. My coat has button, not velcro , and the water resistant, more durable outer sleeve covers the vulnerable, fabric cuff. Fix this an remedy the matter for folks who spent good money. My old jacket does not have the problem b/c of the buttons and longer outer sleeve.

I live in Michigan and it gets cold here, crazy cold. This coat keeps me warm no matter the weather. I wear a beanie with mine and tie the hood tight and I actually sweat..I get compliments all the time.

I rec'd. my new McMurdo Bomber (size Small / Black) and have worn it 6 or 7 times so far, for short periods. The weather here in the Washington, DC area does not get that frigid, and the coat is extremely warm. By comparison, I have another winter-style TNF synthetic multi-layer ski jacket and this bomber is A LOT warmer with the 600 down fill. I was looking for something that was very warm, and I've been happy with the McMurdo Bomber since I was really looking for a top quality, warm coat with removable fur-lined hood and not ski jacket. A lot of folks in reviews seem to complain about the sleeves catching on the velcro closures, and while I can see that happening, it has not been an issue or problem. I understand that pilling of the elastic sleeves would be a pain and not a welcome sight, so I hope I don't have any issues. Just being aware of it seems to help me, since that was about the only knock on this coat that I really read much about. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase, as I researched it amongst several other coats for over two months before locking in an incredible deal on Cyber Monday direct from The North Face.

Beautiful jacket!! Quality made. Happy customer!

This jacket has one main fatal design. The velcro catches on the material of the sleeves and destroys it within a few weeks. I had to buy velcro and attach them to the velcro part of prevent them from sticking to the sleeve. This much money and they use velcro knowing it will pull off the fabric.

Excellent lightweight jacket. The only con is the velcro that gets stuck to the sleeves. Buttons would have been better.

Very nice coat would recommend to anyone. Would like to see a drawstring at the bottom to secure it around yourself a bit better and there needs to be a button to keep the fur out of your face had to take the fur off day 1.
