I recently purchased the Mc Murdo jacket , and unfortunately, it fell short of expectations.
- *Fit:* The body fit is good, but the arm length is too short. The extra large arm fit is a slight improvement, though the body becomes too loose.
- *Material:* The fabric feels stiff and uncomfortable.
- *Design:* The hood's cord rubs against the face, causing discomfort.
Overall, I'm disappointed with the design and materials used. Compared to the older model from 10 years ago, this jacket is a significant step backward. I hope the brand reconsiders and releases an updated version next year that addresses these issues.

Bought this jacket on Monday 16 Feb 2026, and literally in less than 2 complete days of usage, this Jacket is leaking feathers terribly. I went back to the store and got it replaced & guess what; the replaced jacket leaked by the time I got home. I BEG NORTH FACE TO MAKE QUALITY JACKETS AGAIN. PLEASE "DON'T THROW AWAY THE TRUST & LEGACY NORTH FACE USED TO BE KNOWN FOR"

This jacket has a major design flaw in 2024 make the cuffs on either sides rub against the Velcro beside the main zipper panel, causing pilling / roughness on on cuffs. It turned ugly even after mild use. Please provide a fix or compensate.

Avoid buying this jacket if it has Velcro. The Velcro repeatedly sticks to and rubs against the fabric, gradually damaging the jacket, which is clearly a design flaw. This is likely why the new design now uses buttons instead of Velcro.

Great warmth and build, but the hood's internal cord lock rubs against my face and gets uncomfortable. Wish this design detail was shown in the photos.

I noticed most of the negative reviews if not all mentioned the velcro screwing up the cuffs, so I am glad NF made a switch to snaps, no velcro to be found anywhere on this coat. I am 5'7 140 lb and a small fits me about perfect. I appreciate the thick cuffs!! Really nice! The coat is really warm, so be warned if your not looking for a extreme winter coat. I can shovel snow in 15 degree weather with only a t-shirt on and this coat, of course pants too, lol. The hood is practical, fits tight, and the fur actually adds warmth. Overall a great coat. I usually wear a parka style NF coat, but I am glad I decided on a bomber for a change.

Relax fit , good for layering
Roomy for the size , I'm 5'10 inches tall
Large size feels roomy but ok
Arms length feel shorter
Unlike my CG , longer arms better
This jacket is like loose fitting
Zipper could be better with pull tab
Bomber look will be subjective to fit
So be aware of your expectations

Lightweight warmth that fits true to size. Love that the fur is removable- that's not my go to for an everyday look. Bought this to replace/add on to another North Face jacket that's not as warm that I've had for about 4 years and looks like it's still brand new so I'm sure this one will last just as long!

I bought this coat for my son. It keeps him warm and it is very fashionable. He likes it because it is not so long and big.

My teenage son loves the jacket. The removable fur is great because he didn't like the look with it on. It will keep him warm in Midwest winter

I absolutely love this North Face jacket. It keeps me incredibly warm, even in the freezing temperatures of Minnesota I never felt cold at all. The hood with the faux is not only stylish but also very functional, and the down insulation inside makes it extremely comfortable to wear. Every time I go out wearing this jacket, people compliment me on how nice it looks. Without a doubt, it was a great purchase and totally worth it.

The insulation is NO JOKE it's like wearin' a warm hug . Plus, it's waterproof, so I didn't even care about the rain. I'd def cop this again and wear it to Rockefeller Center during Christmas . If you're lookin' for a sick bomber that's gonna keep you warm AF, GET THIS ONE . The North Face didn't disappoint!
