My husband bought 2 of these shirts for our 8-day rafting trip on the Colorado River. It was very hot, but the shirts kept him cool and also prevented sunburn. They worked perfectly for our purposes, and we would highly recommend them for rafting trips or any long-term exposure to the sun.

Hubs marked this shirt in our bi-weekly LL Bean catalog. I surprised him by buying this for Father's Day. The fit was perfect, not too tight, not too loose. We are at the beach now and he wears it every day when it's time to cover up so he doesn't burn. It's his favorite shirt.

I cut acres of grass and bought a similar LL Bean product last year and it worked out great. I never imagined that a long sleeved shirt of any kind would feel cooler than just a short sleeve T-shirt. No more sun beating down on my arms and it is much easier (probably cheaper too) than applying a quality sun tan lotion. This shirt is super light weight, wicks away sweat very well, and is high quality. It checks all of my boxes. The blue is a beautiful shade to boot.

I bought 4 of these shirts two years ago for the 50+ SPF protection, grey and light blue. They are comfortable, worked protecting me from upper body UV exposure. And we're good in sun and pool. This purchase was for 2 more in a different color. Highly recommend these, very durable and well made.

I think this is a good shirt that does what it says - keeps the sun off, but doesn't chafe or is even really noticeable when using, even when wet, which is great. This is my second one (wanted a backup and another color). The medium is a little tight on my "dad bod," but I wouldn't want it hanging off loosely so that was the trade off. It was proper fit where I'm not pudgy...

My husband was so impressed with this shirt I had to buy two more. He uses them on his walks in the extreme heat of the southwest. It's a great, breathable sun shirt.

I was looking for a sunblocking top to wear at the beach. The carbon navy is impressive looking plus the shirt looks and feels very good. May get another!

I need this shirt to enjoy my pool in full sun. Meds I am taking will hurt my skin in the sun. Fits a little loose which is good. Arm length fits good for my long arms. It is very difficult to remove without an assistant, pulling the back over my head, when wet. This is true of all "rash guard" or "surfer shirts." I intend to have my tailor sew in some bands or laces to hang from the back hem over my butt that I can grab and pull over my head by myself to pull the shirt off while soaking wet. In summary this shirt is great for rash guard and/or sun protection and I do recommend it.

Have ordered several different types of these for layering. This one is an ace in every way.

I simply love these shirts. Very rarely you get a perfect combination of style, fit and quality of fabric. This shirt scores very high on every metric. I pretty much wear these shirts everywhere. I have already bought every available color of this shirt. I hope LL Bean doesn't discontinue these shirts and please introduce some new colors. Great shirt and reasonably priced.

Long sleeves are important along with sweat wicking Have two of these and wear them often.
