The stretch is as advertised but it can't compensate the lack of room in the groin area.

Pants themselves are good, however if you have pets with small sharp nails beware! My daughters little dog pulled a thread in my pants. Shame because they fit well and look good. Oh well!

The pants were fine as long as they lasted, though elastic could/should be added to the waist, along with the draw string.
The pants obviously caught on something yesterday, and it ripped a whole. They're not as durable as I hoped--since I've had them only about one month

I purchased these for my husband. He's easy to please and is fine with them, except there is no fly. The fabric is thin, especially for the price. I ordered the wrong inseam (my fault), and hemmed them. We'll have to see how they hold up.

They may be good for young people that exercise heavily. I prefer walking since I'm not able physically run. They were also too baggy for running errands so I did return them.

I own two pair of these pants. The material is greatcomfortableseem to be durablegreat for travel and camping. Two things could be better. I bought identical sizes but the pants legs of one is a full inch shorter. So quality control is suspect. Second, the drawstring is less than I would have hoped for the price. Belt loops would be better.

Everything is good about the pants, except there is no fly. If you look at the pictures, particularly in the tan and grey, there is stitches that make it look like there is a fly. There isn't. So be ready to go into a stall in public restrooms so you can drop your pants to relieve yourself. I bought these for travel and this is a disappointment to me. LLBean is usually pretty good about product description. In this case there is no mention one way or the other and I relied on the photos. Rats!

Fits well and is definitely comfortable. Needs a fly in the front. And objects fall out of pockets easily. Especially when doing side to side exercises. For example wallet fell out twice while using sitting weight machines and snap was closed when it happened once. There is a zipper compartment, but can only hold so much.

Pants that cost $70 and don't have a fly. And are uncomfortable in the heat?
Not interested. Do better, LLBean.

Considering the cost of these well made casual pants, I find it rather interesting that there is no 'fly' sewn into this product. I like how well made l and comfortable these pants are, but not having a fly (function) is a real bummer for me. At my age (old), function is most important.

Weight of fabric is great, overall fit is good. They're what I was looking for. However, the waist elastic needs to be stronger. They use two narrow strips of elastic, needs to be a wide strip with more strength. The string is fine, but not enough to keep them from sliding down on me. I'm a big guy and need the elastic to keep them pulled up.
The other issue, the material snags VERY easily.
Fix those two issues, and they would be perfect in my opinion

Bought for a family adventure vacation. These pants are practical and fit well BUT... easily snag and are repairable hence ruined in one single wear. Very expensive disposable pants :(

I started by ordering one pair of the sports pants. I wore them a couple of days and liked them so much (great fit, comfortable, good looking) that I order three more pair to wear on our upcoming 2-week driving tour of Iceland. Meanwhile, I continued wearing the original pair when appropriate. By the time they needed to be laundered, I noticed a problem developing. Namely, the material (particularly on the top of the thigh area) had begun to pill. I laundered them (warm gentle wash, low heat gentle dry), and they came out looking great except for the pilling. By now, I have worn them several more days and laundered them again, and the pilling continues to worsen. I have also worn the three additional pairs several days each (while in Iceland), and I have noticed when I finished laundering them that at least one of them has started to pill. So -- great fitting and great appearing, very comfortable to wear. But the pilling that has developed is starting to detract from their appearance.

Weight of these pants was good. They are for spring, summer, and autumn wear, and are too light for colder weather. The camp pants were tighter than advertised at the waist and through the buttocks. Fit was great in the thighs and below. Other than the elastic, it does not seem that the fabric will, with continued wear, relax and conform to my shape. Perhaps, this is an opportunity to lose another five pounds.

These are baggy and very lightweight pants that run large. Well made but overpriced for what they are. I returned them.

I have the multisport shorts and really like them. Got all 4 current colors. I decided to try these for the 5 times it gets cold down here in Florida. These bad boys just want to slide down my waist creating hip hopper envy. I basically dug down to the depth of my soul to muster up the strength to tie them as tight as I could, nearly severing my spine. The tie laces certainly work. It worked but it was a ridiculous measure taken to wear the pants. Granted, I gotta belly that wants to push bottoms to the floor and I have no butt, yet the shorts work for me. "Bottom" line is I think the elastic waist band isn't quite elastic enough and the added weight of the pants material compared to the shorts and the material texture/composition caused the sliding. You might conclude I got the wrong size, but this was my second pair in a different size. I returned both.
The bottom of the pant legs can be cinched tightly. It is a clever, albeit, annoying to use design, no doubt adding to the cost of the pants. To tighten you pull an elastic loop cord inside the bottom pant leg. It leaves a lengthened hangman's noose dangerous to snakes. To loosen, there is a mechanism the cord runs through sewn inside the fabric that has a button which faces the outside pant leg. You have to feel for the button, push it then with your other hand pull the bottom cuff to draw the bottom pant leg back to full open position. The pulling and loosening process is somewhat tedious and I found I need both hands to accomplish each task.
I still have a pair of 80's styled sweat pants. The ones we used to wear shorts over. Think Josh Brolin in The Goonies. Anyhow, they are ugly. These multisport pants are much prettier.
So for those of you with a more fit body style, these will probably work. But if you are like me, with a keg instead of a six pack, give them a try and leave the buyers remorse behind if they don't work.
After all, they are just pants.

I already have these pants and the pant leg length is different from the ones I just bought. New ones are too long did I ordered the wrong size?

The fabric is very nice. But the plastic draw strings at the bottom of each leg result in a sloppy look and are an expensive way to avoid producing a betting fitting pant.

Because of the material in these pants I thought they would be pretty wrinkle free after washing and drying. Not so! They came out looking terrible. I'm sending them back for a refund and am cancelling my order for the pair that was back ordered.

I've had these pants several weeks. I wear them to work in. An office. The back pocket snap has already fallen off and the threads outlining the back pocket are coming undone
I like the look and feel, the quality doesn't seem very good for 70 dollars.

Very stiff material. Hard finish. Runs a bit small and tight.

My son is 6'5" and usually does fine with a 34" inseam. These were way too short (fit more like a 30" inseam). Also they seem a little wide. I hate these didn't work out! They are a nice, lightweight dry-fit pant.

I purchased four pairs of these Multisport Pants and six pairs of the shorts in size large. After wearing the pants a few times I noticed they seemed more snug in the waist. I measured my waist to see if there was weight gain and I was exactly 37". These are supposed to fit 36"-38".
I compared the waist width un-stretched to the shorts and found that the pants are only 16" wide, while the shorts measure 17". I contacted L.L Bean and the customer service representative said they probably shrunk from washing, and that they would replace them with Xtra Large. I had that size a year ago, but because of cancer, I lost so much weight that I could only keep them up with suspenders, so I donated them and repurchased these in size Large.
Accordingly, be advised that these elastic stretch waists apparently shrink, which is ridiculous because all my bathing suits with stretch waists have never shrunk after being worn in water and machine washed.
There's clearly a quality control problem from the manufacturer because the pants should not be 1" smaller after washing than the shorts, which have not yet been worn and washed.

These are great pants. I bought a pair last summer and they fit perfectly- then and now.
I bought another pair a couple of weeks ago and they're too tight. I read the labels closely. Item number is the same. But last summer's purchase was manufactured in Indonesia, and the recent purchase was made in Vietnam. I don't know if a change in manufacturer is the cause, but there is a big difference. So beware. These run smaller than they did last year.
