I had bought the gray pair for my husband a few weeks prior and they fit perfectly. So we ordered 2 of the tan for his work but they are so much bigger. It's strange. I have already washed them and such so will try to get them taken in and hemmed. Otherwise, he says they are super comfortable and light.

A full star comes off the rating because they are quite loud when walking. You won't sneak up on any wildlife in these.

I bought these as a gift for someone so I can't review or rate.

Very comfortable fit. Some much so, I bought another pair. However, had to downgrade the rating because of a cosmetic issue with some stitching in one pair, which was promptly replaced under warranty. Still in all, I like the pants so much I have now ordered a pair of zip pants.

I love the feel and fit of these pants. It has not yet rained so I don't know about water resistance. I was going to order another pair, but I thought maybe I'll wait another year and Bean will get rid of the stupid snap and replace it with a button.

nice pants, comfortable, but a little noisy they kind of sound like you're walking in snow pants. Runs big, my waist measures 36" and I ended up with a 34" pant. Thankfully LL Bean has an easy exchange process.

I have been a 34-32 size for many years, my orders have always been the same. Usually the pants have a elastic waist band which allows more flexibility. When I first tried these pants on I thought the lack of an elastic waist band was the reason that they felt quite looser than my other pants. After wearing the pants around the house for two day's I realized the waist size was more like a size 36 or 37 than 34 for me. In spite of this, I plan on going to your store and find a size that fits me, I really liked the pants.

The pants are fine except the pockets are too small to accommodate my "DayMinder, AT-A-Glance, Weekly Appointment Book".

Bought these for hot & humid weather and so far they're doing the job. Waist size runs a little large and pockets are a little shallow but otherwise I recommend them for the dog days of summer.

My goal was 1. lightweight 2. evaporates water 3. good pockets 4. relaxed fit. These pants are lightweight. There is some stretch to them. The fit is reasonably relaxed. The material is synthetic, appear to be pretty tough and do shed moisture pretty well. The change pockets are good. The large pockets on the side could be a bit bigger, with a larger entry. In the hot humid South, I would have preferred a bit looser weave, but that is not always possible.

Very comfortable hiking pants. Lightweight and cool. I hike every week doing trail work, and have several pairs. Once the snow melts, I switch to these until the snow returns in the late autumn. Lots of pockets for carrying everything I need, with zippers for securing valuables. Only used for a couple seasons, so not sure about durability yet, otherwise I would make it 5 stars. So far no problems. So comfortable, I just bought another pair for leisure summer time wear.

The Cresta water proof pants have a good fit, maybe a bit oversized in the waist (but I may be losing inches walking around in splendid isolation) but unlike several recent LL Bean pants, the pockets are actually good sized and useful! These were the non-zipoffs, and are good for temperatures up to 68-72 (though I run warm) and are truly water resistant - the Pacific Northwest in spring definitely allows one to test that. The lower legs are not as loose as older style hiking pants, but still have a roominess. They are a little looser than the stretch version ( but the stretch version has fewer and shallower pockets), but still a good fit and comfortable.

I really like the lightweight nylon pants. They are water resistant and wash and dry easily.

Great travel pants. I have several pairs. I like the pockets on the side with zippers for phone and wallet. In all my pants and shorts of this make the weak point is the waste snap..it should be a button..the snap grows weak with wear and washing. I would also like Bean to create similar pants with a more conventional appearance so they could be worn in a more urbane environment. Chaps has a good looking version of the shorts, but I have not found good looking long pants.

Great pants for hiking, camping, travel, or just hanging out. Bought these to replace the Timberline convertible cargo pants that are no longer available on LLB. Like these better. More comfortable and stylish.

Very good fit and finish. My only disappointment is that the back pockets are either too big or too small. Too big for a wallet or pocket comb...they flop around. Too small for a field guide or larger stuff.... the pocket is big enough but the opening is too small to fit them in.

I'm a short, mid-aged woman looking for decent-looking weekend pants that have a leg pocket big enough to zip in a cell phone. All the women's pants with leg pockets had tiny pockets that might hold a key or folded money, but not a cell phone, so I settled for men's style. The pants are a bit too baggy for my style, but I really just bought the nice pocket on a pair of presentable pants. Wish LL Bean would make women's clothes that are as usable as men's!

I returned them as they were not even close to what I thought I would be getting. I guess shame on me for this choice.

These pants replaced a similar pair I had for many years before the waist grommet failed. These pants are not soft like the prior ones--they feel oddly stiff.

The seam on one of the legs opened after wearing only three times. Have numerous pairs of Cresta pants and this is the first time I had a problem.

I like them for 4 zippered pockets as I have recently been pick-pocketed. Material seems they started out to make parachutes and ended with cargo pans. Warning! Nylon burns...fast. Best for tropical climates...otherwise also order insulated underwear. On...those wrinkles are permanent. The longest inseam 29 I have seen...they are going to be shortened. Please bring back "Allagash"... great cargo pants with 2 deep zippered pockets. After all that, I am about to reorder. :-)

Nice pants, decent but not great water resistance. Not as much wind resistance as I would like. The multitude of zipper pockets are great. Overall comfortable, and true to size.

I did not like the feel of the Cresta hiking pants. I am hooked on Mens Multisport Standard Fit Pants. Nothing else compares them and I judge all others but them.
