These hiking pants fit very well and I love that they're a bit stretchy. They are light yet substantial enough to protect me from heavy brush or vegetation on the trails. Very comfortable and breathable. I am very pleaesd with this purchase and plan to buy another pair.

Perfect, great Construction, gusseted crouch is comfortable. My only suggestion: wish they came in lighter colors. White would be great!

I love these pants. I wear them almost every day. Lots of pockets and super comfortable. I have several friends that have purchased these also and really like them.

These are the most comfortable pants I've ever owned. They are great to wear golfing on those slightly cool mornings.

Fabric is light weight and breathable. Suitable for hot weather. Overall build quality feels solid. I expect this pants would last a long time. It has been working very well for me during the last a few hikes in sunny and rainy days. The fit is a bit on the relax side to avoid restricting movement. I would prefer to have a secure small inner pocket to hold car keys though.

I like LL's Cresta products. I own a lot of the shorts. These are the first long's. They are nice. My wife even likes the longs. Which she usually does not on my clothing choices. I guess I need to bring her in to the decision making process. Anyhow, very happy with these pants. Hopefully they do not succumb to the plague of the Cresta. The closing waist snaps disintegrate over time. LL should get the manufacturer to start making them with a button and hole. However LL has been pretty good if I send them back for replacement, even after I've had them a couple of years.

Usually wear size 33 but these run a little large so bought 32 and they fit perfect. Ordered two pair and really like the fit and comfort.Great for flying and during travel. Very lite weight and easy to wash out and hang to dry. Excellent pants.

This is my second pair of the Cresta Hiking pants. The first pair I bought several months ago have become my favorite casual wear pants. So I purchased a second pair. They wear perfectly, stretch, and with zippered pockets. I often wear them to play golf as well as casual wear on a daily basis. Planning on hiking in these in Colorado this summer. Living in south Texas, I decided to purchase a pair of the Cresta Hiking shorts and I love these equally to the pants.

I bought a pair at the local store with a gift certificate and picked the only size close to mine which was two inches smaller than I normally buy. I tried them on and they seamed to fit.
All the jeans and slacks I have I"m constantly pulling them up all day long. These I don't have that problem. They are not to tight in the waist and vey light weight. So I bought another pair on line. Highly recommend these pants.

Fit nicely right out of the package. Light, cool and very comfortable. I wanted something lighter and less confining than my usual jeans. Also like the pocket arrangement. Going to buy another pair soon of a slightly different style.

I love these pants. That they are water resistant makes them even more useful.

I bought the lined version of these pants for my husband and he lived in them all winter long. Now its spring, so the obvious choice is these super comfy pants!

I have purchased many L.L. Bean products in the past and have enjoyed wearing them all. However, the Cresta name for their hiking products add even more value in my estimation. I cannot seem to wear out a pair of Cresta Hiking boots that I bought over 8 years ago, so I bought another pair when I found them on sale. These"Men's Water-Resistant Cresta Hiking Pants" are lightweight and comfortable. They'll get a lot of wear as I trek the hills and trails of Arkansas.

I love these pants. They are flexible, durable, and provide a great deal of utility. I got them for their versatility for traveling, hiking, and all-purpose wear. I'm an administrator at a university and wear them on "casual" Friday, but also for bike rides, hiking, and even kayaking. The side pockets are just the right degree of inconspicuous. I can slip a phone or license in them without too much bulk. I typically wear a 32" waist and these have a little room to them, but not too much. I like that the 30" inseam is plenty long. L.L. Bean has been making the inseams true to size rather than a bit short (high water) as in past styles and iterations of some Bean pants. I got the standard fit and they are not too slim. I am an avid runner and biker with rather muscular thighs and calves. I can't wear slim fit, but I stay away from the bagginess of natural fit. Some standard fit khakis L.L. Bean carries can be a little too slim, but these are definitely not on the slim side of standard fit. I would love to see a pair of these with a snap-up leg at some point. I bought the carbon navy that present as a faded navy, or smoky blue, color. I look forward to buying another pair, maybe in the five pocket style. I am loyal to L.L. Bean's hiking and travel gear, so I can't compare them to another brand. But why bother? These pants are all you need!

I like these pants a lot. Fabric is comfortable. Fit is as in catalog descriptions. I would prefer two more belt loops, but 5 is OK. The rear pockets are different from what I am used to, but they are large and secure. Haven't tried the waterproof feature yet.

I bought the Water Resistant Cresta Hiking Pants Standard Fit for casual wear around town, not for hiking or climbing. They're very lightweight, fit comfortably, and look great. If you've tried other nylon hiking pants, you know how some are "noisy" when you walk, like the nylon material is so stiff it makes a sound. Not these. The fabric is supple and quiet. The only thing I would change is to put a double keeper in the very back to help hold the belt. Since most other pants don't have that either, it's not a negative for this product, just my preference. I own several pairs now. Definitely money well spent.

Great fit. Real comfortable. Wish they didn't "swoosh" when I walked but you soon tune it out.

These pants are abc. (Anti-ball crushing). I use them when I commute by bicycle. They are comfortable and wind-resistant. I would not say they touch on water resistance, however. They easily absorb water and get wet.
The slacks easily wash and dry on medium settings and stay elastic. (2 washes so far) They can wrinkle easily if that matters.
The pockets are deep and I haven't lost anything that I've kept in them when biking. The pants are lightweight, so any temperature below 30 or so it's best to wear another layer, which the slacks accommodate easily for me while staying abc.

Very comfortable. Didn't know they were water resistant until walking in a recent drizzle. Like the light stretch. I wear a 33" in Bean's khakis but these are slightly larger.

This is my third pair of cresta hiking pants. Three different colors. All fit true to measurements. I have hiked in New Mexico high plateau and desert. Also mountain terrain in Maine and marshland trails in Florida. They are comfortable. Just enough stretch, they hold up well and wash out easy for travel.

I've bought my husband every color of these pants, they fit great, wear like iron and travel wonderfully. We went to Chile recently and they washed in the hotel sink in a few minutes, dried in a couple of hours. The number of pockets and placement is perfect.

We bought these at the local LL Bean store for my husband. They look and fit great and are very comfortable. He wears them all the time now as casual pants and for walking/hiking.

These are my go-to hiking, golfing and general knock around pants. They aso clean up nice with a sport jacket! The location of the zipping side pockets is perfect for wallet. Can reach them without bending down too much. The solid fabric pockets are also a bonus over the mesh pockets in my other Cresta pants.
