I normally wear waist 34 but I first ordered waist size 36 thinking I would be tucking in a few layers of shirts each day while in Alaska and would need extra room, but they were too big. That's on me! I reordered the 34s and they fit just right. The zip leg pockets were good for my cell phone, Fishing licence and assorted stuff, in addition to the regular slash front pockets and rear zip pockets. Good overall fit and the material shed light rain nicely. Very happy with them.

the pants are comfortable, light weight, feels like wearing nothing (almost). pockets with zippers.Wash and dry easily. I bought every color. They would be cold in winter. I will use long underwear for hiking in cold weather, or get the ones with lining.

Pants very comfortable. Stylish cargo pants without the bulky cargo pockets on the outside. Nicely water resistant. Durable. Enjoyed the first pair so much I bought two more in different colors. Could not be more pleased.

These are the best hiking pants I've ever owned. Being a busy naturalist and guide in the Adirondack Mountains, I'm generally too busy to write product reviews. But these pants are stellar and deserve a few minutes of my time. Meanwhile another two pairs of pants from another manufacturer sit here unworn. The pockets are too small and too slippery. I wore them once while guiding and my wallet popped out in the woods twice and my car keys several times. No thanks! The Bean Cresta hiking pants are trouble-free. Highly recommended!

I have been searching for a pair of lightweight, water-resistant pants for a couple of years and have gone through several, ill-fitting and poorly constructed ones. They fit, they stretch, they're light and cool in the hot weather, and have multiple zippered pockets for carrying my camera paraphernalia. My search is over.

These lightweight slightly stretchy pants are ideal for warm weather. They don't bind or cling and have a nice, silky feel. Convenient zippered side pocket discretely holds a wallet. I like clothes that aren't too tight so I got the 36" rather than the 35" waist. I really appreciate L.L. Bean's range of fit as nothing is worse than pants that drag on the ground because I'm under-tall for most manufacturers. Planning to buy the other color soon.

Bought two of these pants and love them! Fit me like a glove. What is best is the cargo pocket on each leg allowing me to store my wallet and phone. These pants are not bulky and could pass for a dress down day at work.

These are great pants. All the details are right. Nice zipper closures for rear pockets and pockets on the legs. As a tall guy I really appreciate the 36" length. They are fairly light weight so not so appropriate for colder weather.

Update. They do shed water. I walked through a field of weeds/grass wet with dew. They did keep the water from seeping through. They dried quite quickly. I really like the zippered pockets. The thigh pockets are not the typical cargo pants pockets. They lay flat and have zippers. I like them.

I bought these for warm weather hiking and backpacking. They work. They're comfortable. They dry quickly. They are water resistant to a moderate degree. The zippered pockets are great. I like them.

We bought these for our son, who is outdoor field work for an internship this summer. He need comfortable long pants to protect against bugs and sun, without being heavy and hot. So far, he has felt very comfortable. They are breathable and comfortable. They have held up to carrying equipment and hiking in the woods. They have been water resistant to a light rain (nothing heavy yet). We will buy another pair.

I ordered these to replace some from the big national co-op and I like these much better. They fit well, are true to size and the wallet pocket carries your wallet in a comfortable spot compared to the ones I had before and has a zipper for security. They are very comfortable to hike in or just for general wear. I highly recommend them!

I love the lined ones in the winter and these in the warmer times. Color choice could be greater in the natural color selection. Hiking, walking my dog in rain and just versatile to the outdoor world.
