Well, I sized up as recommended by many reviewers, but the waist is still too small for comfort, and I can't keep the jeans hoping I'll get smaller myself, the way my world works lately. I'm really disappointed as I needed some new jeans.

I bought 2 of these Bean Flex size 4 regular at different times, I sent the first one back because one side on the back, butt side was wider than the other. I reordered the same jean again and got another one with the same problem. It is on the way back On the tag it says made in Mexico. Maybe if these pants were made in America, they would be better. made.

These just arrived today, and they're going back. They're too tight and uncomfortable. I'm taking the advice of other buyers and am ordering a size up. They also have horizontal light/dark dye stripes, as do the other pair of Women's 207 Vintage relaxed fit jeans that I ordered--this must be some kind of fad. :(

Unfortunately these weren't the jeans I ordered. I ordered True Shape jeans and received these instead which I can't wear due to the small fit.

Not their usual fit. These use to be my favorite jeans and I've been wearing them for years in size 8 petite. These new jeans are too tight in the waist and basically do not fit the same. All of my old jeans were made in Indonesia and still fit just fine. These new jeans were made in Mexico and the sizing is way off. Very sad!

I initially found these jeans difficult to get past my knees, but shortly discovered the zipper wasn't down all the way. Much coaxing eventually achieved this, but this zipper issue immediately raised my suspicion about the overall quality of the garment. Substantial zippers and similar quality buttons are essential to garments made of denim and other heavy weight fabrics. This zipper was poor quality for any weight fabric, as was the button. The denim was not substantial as I'd hoped; perhaps these were never meant to be "real" blue jeans. I did order the wrong size (I needed a petite), but even if they'd fit perfectly, I wouldn't keep them. Not LL Bean quality. Very disappointing.

I ordered a size up and could barely get them on. I couldn't button. Also the material is weird and scratchy - very artificial feeling. For $80 I expect more. Sadly, much of Bean's things are no longer of the high quality we experienced for over 50 years.

I ordered one size up from my usual size and the waist on these were so small I could hardly pull them up and couldn't button them. Also the material was stiff and didn't feel denim-like for the price. Very uncomfortable. I've returned them.

The size is probably an inch smaller around the waist then previous pairs I bought. I have the same jeans and a couple of other pants in the same size and fit. All fit great and I love them. I just ordered a new pair of jeans and can hardly get them on, much less button them. I held them against my current jeans and they are ~1 inch smaller! That is crazy, the dimensions shouldn't change that much.

I purchased these jeans, not even 2 years ago, love them. I ordered another pair same size in a darker color and could not even get them up. Ordered another pair thinking they were sized wrong. They fit better, but still not good. Ordered a size up and they were too big. Sizing is all over the place. Had to return all. So sad.

Read the reviews before I purchased these. Did order a size up per reviews. That size did fit. Wow, the smell of these jeans! I washed them twice to rid the smell and they still have a chemical smell!!! Help!!! How do I get rid of the smell?? Other people notice the smell too!!! Very disappointed!!!

The fabric must have been soaked in some smelly chemical. It stunk up a whole load of laundry. And the fabric doesn't even look like normal denim. What is it?

Other reviewers are correct, these are not the same size and fit as the BeanFlex jeans offered 1 1/2 to 2 years ago. What a shame! The old jeans were perfect.

I bought these BeanFlex jeans, as well as the True Shape High-Rise jeans, both in "medium tall." The Bean Flex jeans were half an inch shorter. The customer service rep said "the industry allows 1/2-inch variation in inseams" and I should order another pair, which will come out of a different batch and "should" be longer. They weren't. This is really poor quality control and customer service. L.L. Bean should ensure consistent sizing rather than ask customers to buy multiple quantities of an item hoping one will fit.

These were defective. The zipper broke at the bottom. I've never received anything from this company that has not been perfect. The jeans did fit comfortably though.

Usually wear these but after a little weight gain I needed to go up one size. So I ordered a 4 regular fit fine but slightly tight in waist and had a very short zipper. Not the normal for these jeans. Ordered a 6 and cannot get them close to button? But the size 6 had a longer zipper.

I have many pairs of these jeans that all fit perfectly. I ordered new ones as some of the older pairs are wearing out. They are a full size smaller, thinner fabric, terrible quality. I returned them.

I had called customer service because my favorite jeans 1912, have been discontinued. The replacement is BeanFlex. I might add I am still wearing my 1912s but they are wearing thin. I ordered 10 M/T the exact size of the 1912s. Sigh , they did not fit and I just did not like the feel of the material

I have two other pairs of these exact jeans that I wear twice a week. The pair I just ordered fits completely differently. I can't even zip them up.

The sizing was way off on these. I have worn size 10 LLBean jeans for years. I bought my normal size and they were skin tight. Couldn't even zip them up. Had to return

My husband bought these for me for Christmas and specifically asked for a lower rise jean or a true mid-rise as I have a short torso. She brought him to these. I'm am an average Jane, not too curvy but not really straight either. These are only mid-rise if you have a long torso. They came up over my ribs and easily ran 1-1 1/2 sizes too small. I wear a 10 in EVERY other brand out there (Levis, Lee, Democracy, etc) but these I couldn't even close at all. the legs were fine, length was good but the hips, waist and so forth were way too high and too small. I bought my husband some pants too and guess what? They were all at least one size too small as well. We've been LLBean customers for years and he has had countless pants in this exact size and style and this is the first time we've ever encountered this. In reading reviews of many different items throughout the site, it appears that LL is really having severe quality control issues. It's a shame. We have always relied on LLB for quality, durability and longevity...not anymore. We returned these as well as his order. My advice is to go to a physical location and try things on. Otherwise, skip online shopping and believe the negative reviews.
