Like many of the other commenters, I had purchased a pair of these jeans a few years ago and loved the way they fit. So much so, that I ordered another pair back in April 2021. They were backordered many times, and finally I received them in September, 2021. They are SO SMALL! Not at all like the previous pair I had ordered, although they are the same style and size. LL Bean had better get their factories in order, because there was definitely a mistake made in the manufacturing of these jeans. Sending them back today for a refund, and still searching for jeans that fit.

As others have mentioned, these are MUCH smaller than the ones sold just last year. In addition, the waist is higher too - I'm very disappointed because these had been the only mid-rise jeans I've been able to find lately.

Perhaps I should have scrutinized the picture in the listing more carefully, but I was taken in by the "straight leg" in the description, which to me means not tapered and not tight. I ordered these because they had the Favorite Fit waist, which is hard to find in Bean's straight leg jeans since the 1912 style was discontinued. However, when I received them, I found that the legs were quite narrow. I have fairly slim legs, but when I sat down in these pants I felt as though my circulation was cut off at the knees. I am returning them, and I guess I will have to live with a higher waistline to get actual straight leg pants. Very disappointed.

I've had three or four other pairs of Bean Flex jeans in size 4 and they all fit nicely, or were slightly big. This pair, which I order in May but which just arrived this week due to being backordered, are way too small. I compared them to an identical pair that I got last year, and the new ones are at least two inches smaller in the waist and hips. They're great jeans but the sizing is way off now. After waiting four months for these jeans, I now must return them.

I bought the black pants in January (size 8). Fit great, love the fabric. In April, I ordered the stonewashed pants in the same size. They arrived last week (backordered for several months). They feel like a size 4: can't button the pants and the legs are snug (way more snug than the black pants I bought in January). Called LL Bean. The customer service rep and I thought the stonewashed pants might have been mislabeled. So I ordered another pair of stonewashed pants in size 8. (By the way, it didn't occur to me to check the LL Bean website to see if there were any comments on about these pants.)They're just like the first pair of stonewashed pants---they fit like they're a size 4. I really like the black pants, so I may be ordering the stonewashed again but in size 12 this time.

I did not like the fit. It was too tight & about an inch too short. I usually wear a reg but this was too short.

Although the product was definitely made with quality, they were too short and too big.

I wear a size 6 in almost all my pants and jeans in other brands. The first pair I ordered from L L Bean in a size 6, I could not get them fastened. I exchanged for an 8 and they are too snug for comfort. Maybe it's just my shape but disappointed and will be returning.

I purchased these jeans and another pair in a size 14 which is a size higher than usual because I've gained some weight. These pants were so tight I couldn't zip them. I sent them back. I then bought a of similar pair of jeans from a different company in a size 12 and they fit fine. Not happy with them at all.

Description says sits below waist but these are above waist. Not just at waist, but above. Other reviews mentioned this.

I apologize for using this product -- which I did buy for my wife and now have to return -- as a general gripe about the overall LL Bean women sizing options. My wife in 5' 10". Much of it is in her legs. These "Women's BeanFlex Jeans, Favorite Fit Straight-Leg" were bought in the ONLY tall option: medium tall. They were almost 2" too short! A very disappointing birthday present. 1. Why can't LLBean provide the SAME sizing charts that they do for men: waist inches and inseam inches???? Doing this would pretty much take all of the guess work out of size ordering for women pants. 2. I went to Google for "Tall LL Bean Woman Pants", which came up with a LL Bean link to a pair of LLBean woman's jeans showing: Regular - Medium Tall - and Tall. But if you're logged into the LLBean site and try to search on "Tall Woman Pants", you get a hodgepodge of mostly unless items. That's just wrong that you can do a better search for LL Bean products outside their Web site than inside of it. I'm done with my rant . . . and I'm done trying to buy my wife nice clothes from LL Bean.

I originally ordered a size 6 as suggested by the size chart, but the jeans were too big, so I ordered a 4. The material seems nice enough, and I liked the useful size of the front pockets. The fit seemed all right at first, but after one day the jeans stretched almost a whole size through the hips, rear and rise. I will return them.

I expected these jeans to be flexible and comfortable as advertised but sadly they were not. I can comfortably wear a size 16 in most every brand of pant/jean, sometimes a 14, but I could barely get these on. They were so tight in the legs it was uncomfortable to walk. This seems to me to be a chronic problem with LL Bean jeans-they don't even come close to the size they claim to be. I once owned a pair of super soft jeans from LL Bean and I am constantly hoping they will come back but nothing so far has come close.

I first tried the "Stonewashed" color, which was perfect all around. Thinking I had found my ideal jean, I then Tried "Rinsed" and "Light Indigo". "Rinsed" was somewhat baggier in the hips and thighs, and a whole lot longer, almost 2 inches after washing and drying. "Light Indigo" was perfect in length, but the baggiest of all in hips and thighs. Why do different colors result in different fits? Poor quality control. The whole point in brand loyalty is that you know it will fit. Not true in this case.
