I had purchased a similar pair, same size, and loved them. These are a heavier fabric, which was okay, but after I washed them (warm/cold and delicate heat for the dryer, as usual), they were too small to get over my butt. I'm hoping that my resolution to lose weight anyway will make the next trail of them a lot more comfortable. I have to find my previous order form and see if I actually ordered a different style.

I usually order M/T in LLBean jeans as I like to wear heels. I purchased all 4 blue colors last year and loved them. I was excited to see black this year and purchased as soon as I had a discount. I was surprised to find that they are significantly longer than last year's and the black denim does not seem as nice as the blues I bought ast year.

Overall a nice fit, but the waistband doesn't stretch and digs a bit. Kept them, but won't buy another pair as planned.

I plan to return the item as soon as I can do so safely. The length and waist were OK, but the rear was way too roomy for a petite person. So I would say that it was not a good enough petite fit.

The fit was almost perfect. I liked the fit in the hips, legs, the straight legs but... The description says that they fit lower in the waist- these fit at the waist and are a bit too tight for me. At 65 my waist has gotten a bit thicker and jeans that are lower fit more comfortably. I was disappointed in the description as I would not have ordered them if I had known that they fit at the waist. I am sending them back.

Photo makes jean legs look narrower than they actually are. Was looking for something with a truly narrow fit over legs,

What happened to light weight jeans for older women? They have totally disappeared from LLBean stock. I am over 75 but still enjoy yard work and between the "slightly fitted t-shirts" and wall paper jeans I am returning more than I am keeping from LLBean when just a few years ago I was a walking advertisement for this store. Other clothing in size 10 from the store still fit but what a disappointment to have to return these jeans.

All of ll bean pants are too big in the hip area for an apple shape without a rear. They bag and sag on me in this area. The shirts are fine but not the pants. All of their pants are made for pear shaped women with a rear basically. Only the soft sweats don't seem to sag for me.

I am occasionally between sizes so I ordered a 14 and a 16 in washed. Due to the stretch there was not much difference in the sizes. I could have kept either. I probably would have kept the 16 except that the color was so inconsistent. The 14 and the 16 were different colors. The front of the thighs in the 16 were a different color than the rest of the pants. The 14 was not. The 14 had the phony faded colors across the front to indicate wear folds. The 16 did also but much less. I would have preferred a darker color in the washed. I love black denim. I wish the jeans came in a black denim. I kept the 14 because the color was the most consistent.

I liked the idea of flex and the the lower waist as the classic fit with higher waist, waist is too high. The fit sounded nice so I ordered online, however, they fit so tight to the body from waist, hips, and down the legs, I returned them.

I love 'LLB and I had great hopes that BeanFlex Jeans would at last be great fitting jeans and For about an hour I was most impressed, they are true to size, the denim /tencel fabric is smooth textured, comfortable and a perfect weight. I have learned to wear every pair of jeans I buy for an hour or so to properly evaluate them for the "baggy" factor. Disappointment set in as I noticed the knees and hips beginning to sag and bag within the hour. I wouldn't wear them anywhere but home because they just do not meet my expectation for tight form fitting great looking jeans. Please LL.Bean fix the baggy problem to make these jeans perfect. I wouldn't recommend jeans that get baggy right away.

I purchased these jeans because of the high rise. They fit well for the first hour, but by hour 2 they stretch terribly. I can grab handfuls of fabric around my waist and thighs. They look baggy and sloppy. I would recommend sizing down one or two sizes. I am a size 12 in most jeans and carry my weight evenly, I have a long torso and these jeans go past my belly button.

I was not impressed with these jeans. I do not recommend putting them in the dryer as the fit was snug. I hung these up to dry, but have not worn them again. My other Bean jeans are far superior, in my view.

Based on other reviews, I ordered a size larger than I generally wear, but the waist was still too snug. Also, L.L. Bean, PLEASE make pants with a longer inseam; the medium tall are floods on me. I did like the fabric and styling and especially the straight fit. Most pants are slightly curvy or curvy and pants tend to look like riding pants in the hip area. Sigh.

I loved the color but as with many Bean pants, the waist was much too tight. Couldn't come within an inch of closing but the size 8 Stretch Canvas 5 pocket pants that I bought at the same time, fit perfectly. I don't understand it.

I love LL Bean jeans and have multiple pairs which I wear all the time. I needed a new pair so ordered the Bean Flex. Alas. The buttonhole for the button at the waist was too small for the button making them unwearable. I returned them with great disappointment.

Apparently if you are plus size you are automatically tall. I couldn't order these in a short option. I have to have them hemmed because they are way too long for me. I have rolled them up twice and they are still too long. Front pockets are sewn short, there is plenty of material below the pocket seam, but it's useless because I can't get to it. I wouldn't call these mid rise either. They hit about an inch above my natural waist. Material is good quality, but I'm not satisfied with the fit.

I've been wearing these a version of favorite fit BeanFlex genes for years, size 14 in different colors. Recently purchased a pair and almost took of tags before washing and then thought to try it on. Clear at least one, maybe two sizes smaller than labelled. Compared them side by side to my current genes to confirm it's not me, it's the genes. Returned! Going to try again.

After shortening the legs by about 4 1/2" (I am 5'5") they fit wetl and comfortably. BUT one big BUT makes them practically unwearable. The zipper has no lock and won't stay up. So either I keep it in place with a large safety pin (which makes me look like a cartoon baby) or let it go and wear a tunic over. To add insult to injury, the slider is much smaller than the puller, so when the slider unzips itself, the slider gets trapped in the placket and has to be wrestled out. I'll probably replace the zipper, since I know how to sew one - but that sort of adjustment to an item this expensive is outrageous

The pants seem to fit ok but I have washed them several times but they still have a strange odor. I don't want to wear them in public because of the smell.

These are the best fitting jeans I have ever worn. So sad that the stonewash material has all the hallmarks of cheap denim; I am admittedly a roughneck, but the number of little white loops pulling through is ridiculous for such pricey jeans

I am happy with the jeans' fit and color. However, the smell (formaldehyde?) made them unwearable. I washed twice with no effect. Then I soaked in cold water with a cup of white vinegar and followed by washing. A fourth wash was with detergent and warm water. The smell is now barely noticeable. I'll see if I notice it when I wear them. If so, they will be returned. I'm very disappointed in LLBean for selling an item with this smell problem.

I have worn LL Bean jeans for years. This is the first pair that is too tight and does not stretch back out after washing. I can wear them, but the zipper constantly inches down and they are always snugger than I feel comfortable with in the waist. I suspect this was a bad batch....
