I have four or five of these, all purchased within the last few years, some were gifts. Initially, they are fantastic. Soft, as said, unshrinkable, colorfast. As the age, the collet stretches out and gets wavy looking. It has happened to all of mine. I can't see buying another, and risking the same thing. It is really a shame, as every other aspect of the short is good.

Great shirt, except when it gets some age on it, the neck hole gets stretched way out. The band around the neck hole gets very wavy too. The rest of the shirt is still in great shape though.

I have 8 of these shirts (long and short sleeve) sitting in a stack next to me for return. Fit, fabric quality and sizing are fine. The issue is that the collar has puckered on every last one of them such that it's a complete embarrassment to wear them as an exposed layer. I have similar shirts from other retailers that must use spandex or other stretch fabric in the collar band, as they continue to lay flat wash after wash. Last night I realized that every time I put on one of these Bean Tees, I get disgusted and take it off to put back on the shelf for a day that will apparently never come when they are not an embarrassment. Sad to return them, as I love L.L. Bean for so many reasons, but these shirts should be avoided if you ever want to show the collar outside of your house. Maybe they're good enough to wear to bed, but I don't need eight nightshirts. Fix the collar and I'm a buyer all day.

I purchased medium standard fit and the torso is at least two inches longer than my previous med standard shirts. They need to be shortened if I want to wear them untucked !

I've been buying these for years. The last 3 I bought, in 3 different colors, have what appears to be a pleated neck. Really weird. I feel Ike a peasant from Game of Thrones. Will be returning them. They seem to be wider too.

Been buying these for years. Cut is gradually getting wider. This white longsleeve is absolutely cream colored. Washing it had no effect- still cream colored. Can't exchange now that I've washed a couple times. Plus no guarantee next one won't be cream colored. Previous versions I've bough in recent years have been true to color. Feels like Bean is going downhill, and I sincerely hope I'm wrong- been a customer since I was a kid.

I ordered 4 shirts, different colors, all men's small, to replace 4 I've loved and washed to the point of fraying. They new shirts were all marked "S Reg" on the package label as well as printed inside. When I tried a new one one on, I swam in it. When I laid it against an old one, the old one disappeared behind the new one that was supposed to be the same size. I asked a friend who is 6" taller than I am to try it on. It fit him well and he was wearing a short sleeved T (not LLB) underneath. The shirts I received are either all mislabeled or LLB made a terrible mistake sizing them at the factory.

Bought this for a Christmas present and it must've been a return because the sweater was thrown into a bag and shipped not even in a plastic bag with the price you pay you should get the decency of a new sweater and not a possible return

I bought a bunch of these T-Shirts about 3 weeks ago, despite some concerns I've had with the quality of past purchases. I purchase these shirts from LLBean because they are one of the only places I can bet then in the tall sizes I need. But These shirts seen to wear quickly around the collar. This time, after wearing it ONCE and then washing it, it came out of the laundry with holes around the bottom back hem. Would really like to exchange it locally instead of thru the mail (and $7 cost) but local store never has the tall sizes in stock.

I buy these for my husband, and used to buy them for myself when Bean offered a similar style for women (unshrinkable, no cuff). PLEASE offer this long sleeve T for women in the same great range of colors. The men's sizes don't fit properly for women.

This is a quality shirt, with good material. Unfortunatly, it has too much material and too loose, especially on the arms. I am 5'8" and 155 lbs and always take large. Sadly, this is Extra large.

It would be nice if I received my entire order. I ordered four shirts but only received three. I have gotten a ton of protionsl emails to buy more items. Needless to say, that won't br happening unless/until my last order is fulfilled or I get a crefit,

The upper arms (from shoulder to elbow) were three times the size and diameter than they should be. Unwearable.

These t shirts cause static on all the laundry that they are washed with. Have to pull laundry off and search for pieces that stick to them. Never had this problem with any of this before.

I love the color, fit, and feel of this shirt in red. After 1 year of light use (I never wore it during the summer so really less than a year) I noticed that it has a dozen or so holes in various parts of the shirt. Obviously the fabric is of very poor quality especially considering the price paid. They may not shrink but what got is that if they're in tatters. I'd add photos showing a group of multiple holes but this website isn't configured to do that using an iPad.

Been purchasing these long sleeve T-shirts for a while now. The last ones that I purchased are item number 224603, love them, washed them dozens of times and dried them in a clothes dryer, never shrunk and stood like new. I needed some more and naturally ordered the same ones. But the ones I purchased, again the same item number are much noticeably thinner then the other ones. Looks like LL Bean changed the fabric to a much thinner one. I'm very disappointed with my purchase.

RETURNED. Based on my ordering history with LL Bean I have always ordered Large. What I received was marked Large but was easily Extra Large if not XXL.

Bought several of these thruough the years I am 6 foot 1 inch 200 lbs and purchased large tall. After wash shrinks so that the lower hem is around my belly button and is much more expensive than similar "throw away after one wash" Ts. In addition, unlike wicking T shirts, it is hot to wear. Still looking for the best T and this definitely is not it

I ordered a medium and it would have fit someone who normally wears an XL.

This is a really nice long sleeved t-shirt but is is clearly not the same size as the regular short sleeve T that I have been buying for at least a decade. The short sleeve always fit me well including the most recent purchases. The long sleeve is too long in the body and too loose in the arms as well as being a bit long in the arms. I bought 5 of these but only wore one and I am going to launder it to see if I can get a better fit before deciding to send these back.

I have been buying this same shirt for years and loved the quality and fit, but I just received a new one in a new color and it is awful. I have always worn an XL, but this one was huge and the quality of the shirt was different. So I reordered a size L which was a better fit, but not the same. They must have switched manufacturers - I won't be purchasing this beloved shirt anymore!

I have several of these t-shirts in many colors. I've always been completely happy with their performance over an extended period of time. Size large fits me perfectly. However the last color I purchased (port) fit tight when I first received it and has continued to shrink after every wash. I'll be donating it to Goodwill!
