This jacket hit the spot in all aspects except its size. It was light weight, nicely constructed and had all the desirable bells and whistles but I couldn't get it around me. I was very sad.

This is a great spring/early fall Jacket. My only complaint is that the hood is too large, the only way to use the hood is to have a baseball cap on.

I used to own an early '90's issue of the "Mountain Classic" jacket and hoped to replicate that great model with Bean's new "Mountain Classic Full-Zip Jacket". The new jacket isn't as insulated and no longer has zipped pockets, but is still very comfortable with room for a fleece layer. If you plan to use this jacket in sub-50 degree weather, you'll want some type of layer; the jacket has light insulation but from my experience is only good at temps above 50 F. The quality is as good as its predecessor and it has become my go-to Autumn jacket!

I believe it was advertised slightly fitted, I usually order medium tall, because it was advertised slightly fitted I ordered a large, overall length and sleeve is fine, but through shoulders its tight, I can't wear a sweat shirt under it. It is a little tight when putting it on.

The jacket was great except for the narrow sleeves from the shoulder to the elbow. I'm going to the next size up.

First of all the jacket fits well. It repels rain very well, but there is no length adjustment on the hood and that is problematic as it appears to have been designed for someone with a huge head or conehead. Seriously do not know what is with the hood. I wear a large hat and if I do not wear a baseball cap, I am continuously pulling the hood back. If I pull the drawstrings tight, it covers my face all the way down to my nose. LL BEAN needed to either use a drawstring adjustment like they do on other hooded jackets they sell or Velcro so the hood length can be adjusted.

Light weight, stores in small space. Ordered men's 2XXL. Wearing just a t-shirt and unzipped fits nice. Put on a light weight shirt and t-shirt, zipped up, crossed my arms, to tight in shoulders. Be great jacket in 3XXL. Since out of stock for season LL Bean has time to procure the lager size and colors.

I like the fit. Why couldn't you have added two inside pockets? How much more convenient that would have been. And inside pockets also hold things more safely. I would have been happy to pay a little more for that. I have a very old LL Bean jacket, maybe from 25 yrs. ago. It had wonderful features including those inside pockets.

I bought this for a friend- he absolutely loves it, fits like a glove. Great windbreaker for fishing on the water in a boat. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I am a little heavy for my height, but this jacket fits more like a medium reg. than a large, its defiantly not with in the 42-44 in. range as specified on the size chart, well its right at 42 in. max, so like other jackets I have ordered over the past two years, its tight in the arm pit and across the back, this does break in and washing doesn't seem to shrink it once broken in, I'd say go a size up for layering but its a nice spring summer weight jacket, and an XL would be big with a t-shirt underneath, also sizing up doesn't work well depending on the cut of the clothing, hope everyone is happy now that Bean has moved way from the traditional cut fit, to the slightly fitted that seems to be very hit and miss on size, there was a time years ago that Bean clothing was made in America, never had this problem if anything the cut was generous to fit, its discouraging and I will not be buying Bean clothing as much as I used to, the prices have increased to the point that I really can't afford their clothing any more coupled with the fit being problematic, its like the CEO and executives don't know what they are doing, even at 25% off the price is still high and I barely feel like I'm getting a deal just paying what the jacket is actually worth retail, the jacket it self is very nice and well made in Vietnam which generally produces nice clothing, the nylon material durable and feels good, layers nicely with a long sleeve t-shirt and flannel, gets a little bulky if worn with a sweater or vest underneath but its a spring summer jacket so your not really suppose to layer it,

Unfortunately what some other reviewers said was true. I typically wear Large-Tall. I got XL-Tall for some extra layering room and the sleeves were STILL to short. Weird cut. Returning. Can't win them all.

I was hopping more from L.L. Bean but their tall sizes are not quite long enough. Their tall sizes should be 1-2 inches longer in the sleeves

Was a good rain jacket but would have given 5-stars if the jacket had snap buttons (plus zipper) on the outside!!!

Runs small Unusual because all other items I ever purchased were true to size. Happy to say gave it to my son in law who is smaller and is very happy

The sleeve lengths in TALL appear to be getting shorter. Been buying from L.L. Bean for 50 years, my father before me and my grandfather before him. The clothing has always fitted properly until the past few months or so. This is my 5th purchase of outerwear in the past few months, and it seems to me that what I initially thought was an sizing aberration in shortened sleeves, is systemic in that TALL sizes of the jackets I've purchased are shorter in sleeve length. If this is a way that Bean has decided to save a couple of dollars, it's not going unnoticed by your customers.

As others have pointed out, the jacket is very thin. The zipper track also comes apart pretty easily which is annoying. Only giving it 3 stars because I like the look of it.

This seems to be a very well made hooded, zip up jacket - but it is very light weight. I attempted to wear the garment one cool windy day but had to return to the house for a warmer garment. It is just too thin for any kind of wind or rain protection. This is a nice looking jacket, but when you pick it up you will notice it's weight and wonder if it will turn the rain or stop the wind - it didn't stop either for me. I did return it for a heavier garment which does me a great job.

Probably a good product but not a cool weather wear. Thin nylon material. I expected it to be usable for cooler weather. Sent it back.

Nice looking jacket but ran small. Had no problem exchanging it for a larger size but was very unhappy with the return postage fee.

I love the material, color, and style of this jacket. However, the one outside pocket is way too high, and on the right rather than the left. The 2 outside lower pockets do not have zippers or velcro, so it is not a secure place for keys or phones. There are no inside pockets at all. My wonderful old LLBean Down parka (which is no longer being made) had both a zippered inside pocket for the phone or wallet, and 2 zippered outside pockets for keys and gloves. If it had secure pockets, I would give it a 5. Hood is oversized, but that's okay by me since I'm wearing a large hat underneath it.

A bit lighter than I expected, more like a shell than a jacket. Runs small, is tight in sleeves and back when wearing a sweater or sweatshirt under it.
