I love the weight, fit, and quality of this relatively inexpensive, useful jacket.

Long story short, I love this jacket! I've needed a new jacket/coat all winter and I watched a Netflix movie a week ago called Troll. The protagonist in the movie (Ine Marie Wilmann) was wearing a jacket the whole movie and it looked so comfortable. I tried to find it and sadly I couldn't this was the most similar jacket I could find, that being said I still love it. **FIT - For reference I'm 6' 2"- 3" 210 lbs I wear an XL or XL-Tall when I can get it for everything and I read other reviews about it running fairly small, so I played it safe and ordered a 2XL. While I would say it's just barely too long for me; It really isn't 'TOO long' though so it's not a big deal. It's not tight at all in the chest, back or armpits, fits perfectly even with a hoodie under it. Insanely comfortable but it's safe to say, order one size up and if you're under 6' 1"- 2" so not get the tall, I think it's meant for 6' 3"- 4" and up. Material - I was looking for that specific jacket and the way it moved and sounded in the movie I had a certain feel in my mind, and this jacket's almost spot on. It's not 1 to 1 what I was looking for but Idk if I'd ever find it, I'm glad it's as close as it is. It's a distinctly soft Nylon, breathable when it needs to be, breaks the wind when you need it to. After I ordered it, I was looking at the page for the jacket and I saw it was a "Water-resistant Windbreaker." Which worried me because I have a jacket from northface I bought years ago, it's a "Waterproof Windbreaker" and you can't always tell how a material will feel from looking at the pictures. My northface has this plastic-like Nylon feel to it, when it got wet it was nasty and it was way too tight in my chest and back, so I was worried it'd be a repeat but thankfully it's not. Features - it has a bonus secret pocket inside of one of the front pockets. Keys, cash, whatever you want to put in there won't fall out + stays concealed. It has very nice strings, with nice thick leather tabs to cinch the hood; I am extremely happy with the quality of this jacket. Overall I'd give the jacket a 9/10 recommendation, make sure you order a size up and do not order tall unless you are actually tall. Thank you for reading, I hope this helped.

I bought this in a store while on vacation, having forgotten to pack a light jacket. The price was right for what I thought would be a short-term item, but it has turned into my go-to for all conditions. Packs down small for travel, always looks great. Especially good as an outer layer over my light down jacket in cold, wet conditions.

Nice material, like the fit and way it hangs. I am in between size XLG & XXLG, so I sometimes have difficulty with size. The XXLG I chose and it fits perfect. I think a jacket should be a little large to accommodate a long sleeve shirt.

Great jacket. Plenty of room for layers. Hood is larger than I expected but fits well and allows baseball cap with no problems.

Love this jacket but wish pockets were zippered. An inside pocket would also be helpful so I could keep my wallet more secure

The size is right and the fit is perfect! It is water repellant and breathable at the same time. It made really well and looks like I will use it for a long time. I adore the color that I got and really stands out when out in the wild. I highly recommend this wind breaker to who likes the outdoors.

I had been looking for a new windbreaker for a while, and I knew of LL Bean's reputation. Reading the reviews, there are a lot of conflicting opinions on if this jacket runs small or large. I'm generally a medium in windbreakers and light jackets so I went with that. It fits me just as I'd expect a medium to fit and I'd call it true to size. I'm not jacked and I'm not skinny either; just a very average midwestern build. I dont plan on layering with this jacket except for t shirts and long sleeve t shirts. So if you're looking for a mild temperature jacket for just wearing out or hiking, look no further!

Great fit, nicely made. The material feels nice and comfortable, not like some rain jackets that feel more like plastic or nylon. The tall size/length is a great addition. I haven't tried the jacket in the rain yet as it was delivered 3 months later than my trip where I needed it and I haven't been in rain since I received the LL Bean jacket. Overall, the jacket is of great quality, comfortable, and I would recommend.
