If you are looking for a lightweight jacket that meets the legendary quality standards of LL Bean, this is the one to buy. I wish that the hood was able to be hidden, but it actually lays flat enough on the back so it doesn't matter. The style is such that it can be worn both for rugged walk on trails or other casual options for everyday wear.

Got this for my husband and he loves it! The perfect weight for a rainy summer day, roomy enough to layer with a sweatshirt or heavy sweater as we get into winter, and reliably waterproof. The hood is especially useful and I like that it's integrated rather than zipped on (no water on the back of the neck - yuck). Very happy!

Was originally going for the color block anorak but saw this full zip blue jacket on the hangers at the store in Michigan and gave it a try. Usually wear large-tall but decided to go with the xl regular. The xl regular fits well and drops straight past the belt line and not wide in the body like similar Carhartt xl jackets. More sleeve length than the large-tall and a little more room or layering. The zippered security pocket inside the front right pocket is nice. Great jacket for transitioning seasons and airport travel.

Generally, I wear a 2XL Tall. Previous reviews said this jacket runs a little small, so I got a 3XL Tall and it fits perfectly. I could not be happier with my purchase. It is nice, light-weight, well-constructed, and is perfect for a cooler Spring morning walk.

Long story short, I love this jacket! I've needed a new jacket/coat all winter and I watched a Netflix movie a week ago called Troll. The protagonist in the movie (Ine Marie Wilmann) was wearing a jacket the whole movie and it looked so comfortable. I tried to find it and sadly I couldn't this was the most similar jacket I could find, that being said I still love it. **FIT - For reference I'm 6' 2"- 3" 210 lbs I wear an XL or XL-Tall when I can get it for everything and I read other reviews about it running fairly small, so I played it safe and ordered a 2XL. While I would say it's just barely too long for me; It really isn't 'TOO long' though so it's not a big deal. It's not tight at all in the chest, back or armpits, fits perfectly even with a hoodie under it. Insanely comfortable but it's safe to say, order one size up and if you're under 6' 1"- 2" so not get the tall, I think it's meant for 6' 3"- 4" and up. Material - I was looking for that specific jacket and the way it moved and sounded in the movie I had a certain feel in my mind, and this jacket's almost spot on. It's not 1 to 1 what I was looking for but Idk if I'd ever find it, I'm glad it's as close as it is. It's a distinctly soft Nylon, breathable when it needs to be, breaks the wind when you need it to. After I ordered it, I was looking at the page for the jacket and I saw it was a "Water-resistant Windbreaker." Which worried me because I have a jacket from northface I bought years ago, it's a "Waterproof Windbreaker" and you can't always tell how a material will feel from looking at the pictures. My northface has this plastic-like Nylon feel to it, when it got wet it was nasty and it was way too tight in my chest and back, so I was worried it'd be a repeat but thankfully it's not. Features - it has a bonus secret pocket inside of one of the front pockets. Keys, cash, whatever you want to put in there won't fall out + stays concealed. It has very nice strings, with nice thick leather tabs to cinch the hood; I am extremely happy with the quality of this jacket. Overall I'd give the jacket a 9/10 recommendation, make sure you order a size up and do not order tall unless you are actually tall. Thank you for reading, I hope this helped.
