The vest is very comfortable and warm but I think the XXL was a little baggy for me. When I buy another one I'll size down.

It was a gift to my brother-in-law. He loved the fit and the material.

We love all things LL, this vest is no exception. Perfect fit, cozy, is long enough (having a long torso, this is often a problem), great color etc, etc, etc. Must have for Spring, Fall.

I like the Bean products.... well-made and Bean provides good product information. Buying by web is always a challenge. In this case, it is difficult to judge which fleece is warmer. Bean does not say these are 200, 300, or 400 weight or warm, warmer, warmest or temp ranges like they do for coats.

Originally ordered the sweater fleece jacket but XL was too large but L sleeves were uncomfortably tight with even a very light weight shirt. So ordered the vest. Normally wear LT but L was plenty long enough for me. Perfect weight for layering over a sport shirt at work, for fall/spring outdoor activities and super under the Down Sweater in winter. Just a bit nicer than a plain old fleece for work days. Great product.

My wife bought me a sweater fleece jacket last Christmas and I love it. I wanted a better, warmer fleece vest, so I bought this. Great alone or as a layering piece.

It was as advertised and looks great on as well as warm. Tried it on and kept it on which is the best recommendation!

Replaced a similar style vest that was substantially more money...nice replacement.

All around layer up. Out Fall, winter & spring. Fits all layering conditions. Light weight and warming.

I have two of these now and love them. Wear them in my often cold office everyday. The reddish one goes with more things than I expected it to and the grey one goes with everything else. I highly recommend this vest.

Good layering piece, keeps the core warm. Only gripe is the left side of collar is stiff and has tendency to rub the neck, that's why the 4 stars.

Good mid weight vest. Zipper a little difficult to engage.

Vest is satisfactory but not as instantly warm as Bean's older fleece material was.

This vest is very warm over a flannel shirt or sweatshirt. It has high quality zippers. I just wish it hadn't pilled so much in such a short time since I don't wear it every day.

Very happy with this vest. It's warm and comfortable.

I'm reviewing this for my dad. He loves it but the collar is a little cumbersome - it stands up a bit stiffly and kind of gets in his way. A mandarin collar might be better? Still, he loves it and has worn it every single day. I may need to get him more.

Why is it so hard for these clowns to get the sizes correct? A 10 year old could do it. If you have a 42-44 chest get a medium. Also this wool doesn't shrink so don't count on that.
