Well, the green is a beautiful color....other than that - going back: too thin, tight across the chest, back, arms, shoulder areas. Got a PL, I am about 140 lbs. 5'2". Not overly "busty". Could not raise my arms, could not stand up straight without the jacket pulling across the front. This needs to be redone: I wish frankly, LLBean would stop trying to compete with "fashion-forward" companies and go back to what they did best: sporty clothes for active women. I am now a customer for over 40 years (yikes!), and clothes I bought years ago still fit, but many items I have purchased more recently have gone right back. Sad....and when I do get something good, Bean stops making it (case in point: womens hunting coat now discontinued - the one just like the mens'). I am wearing an old loden green barn coat, straight style, with all those nice pockets, I could use a new one but they all have the "princess seams". I haven't had a princess figure for some time!

I bought this to replace the quilted riding jacket I bought many years ago, which I love. This one, however, did not even come close. The color is great, and I like the fact that it now has a zipper. That's where it ends though. The fabric is stiff and cheap looking, the zipper is really hard to use, there is no longer corduroy on the cuffs or collar, and the fit is awful. The sleeves are narrow and way too long, and if you roll them up, there is plaid inside that I wouldn't want showing all the time. I am a loyal, long time LL Bean customer, so I am very disappointed. It seems like so many of their items are made overseas now and can't hold a candle to the old good quality items. This is going back.

I liked the color and fabric of this jacket. Unfortunately the sleeves were way too long and there was not enough fabric in the back to drive comfortably. It also had a very strong odor. I returned it.

I ordered the green which is a beautiful color. This jacket is lovely except it was so tight through the shoulders I could not move my arms. This is the first time ever that a coat or jacket from Bean has not fit me through shoulders. So, I highly recommend this riding jacket IF you are narrow through shoulders. I wish I could have kept it!

I love the Fall colors, especially the dark olive. I am usually a size 0-2, but I can sometimes wear Bean's XS stuff. I was hoping the adjustable waist would help this jacket fit me, but alas the XS is really a 4. Aside from that.... Since it is meant to be layered over a mid-weight sweater, the arms are pretty loose. The length is really practical, keeping the bum covered. It's pretty lightweight, though well-constructed. I like the feel of the fabrics used, and I appreciate the trimmings. I'll be trying out a different jacket style made from the same materials but with smaller sizes.

This jacket is thin, shapeless and poorly constructed. Nothing like the quilted riding jacket in prior years. Don't recommend this jacket at all.

Bought this late summer. Today was the first day I wore it. Had some trouble zipping it but easier after several readjustments. Then came to unzipping, forget it, jammed badly. Able to move it back together and the jammed again. Had to take it off over my head. If this was happened after several times wearing it but on the first time, no way, going back.

I was Trying to replace the same jacket that I have owned for nearly 7 years. My Jacket is warm, beautiful, fits perfectly..it has several small tears now & some loose threads. I ordered the same jacket. When it arrived I was so disappointed. The New Jacket felt as thin as paper. It was hideous. I was so disappointed that even LL Bean has been hit by Shrinkflation. I sent the jacket back and am reminding myself that what use to be a Quality store has fallen now to the ranks of trash products. I'm very saddened by this fact.

Great coat but zipper broke after one wearing; couldn't replace the coat because they were sold out.

It wasn't well constructed and didn't look warm. What happened to LL Bean?

This jacket was flimsy for the money and the zipper is faulty by design. I sent it back very disappointed in the quality. Not worth it even on sale.

I ordered this jacket in a petite, large, as I do with all LL Bean coats. The sleeves are too long, and yet it's tight across the shoulders, hindering arm movement. This is unlike the usual Bean coats I have purchased, so I'm returning it.

Believe the bad reviews about the zipper...do NOT buy this jacket! The very first time I tried it on the zipper malfunctioned and I couldn't unstick it. When I returned the jacket and explained about the zipper even the cashier had trouble getting it unstuck. Disappointingly poor quality. Based on feedback from their customers LLB should stop selling this jacket.

I was disappointed it wasn't available in the full range of sizes. It was a beautiful coat, but some of my curves didn't fit the XL. So many products are available to all shapes and sizes, but why not this??

I have been looking to replace my L.L.Bean barn coat that I've worn for 25 years. It simply can't be replaced with anything close or even remotely similar - not from L.L. Bean or any other retailer. Nothing I've tried has the details or quality of this older style coat. I tried this quilted riding jacket. It is way overpriced and doesn't have the quality of workmanship that I used to expect from Bean. Everything these days - EVERYTHING - is made with planned obsolescence built in. So I will continue to wear my original Bean barn coat and hope that it holds up for a few more seasons.

I bought this to replace one that I had used for years. This one is flimsy and not warm at all like the other one was. It is tight across the back and the bottom of the sleeves is much too large.

The petite XS was very big, like a regular XS. The sleeve was too long and there was too much room in the torso. I've tried another item from LL Bean that was petite XS and it didn't have this sizing problem. On top of it all, even though LL Bean is inconsistent with its size and made the mistake of labeling this petite, I have to pay for shipping to return it. Bad call. I won't be shopping with LL Bean after this.

I was so disappointed with this jacket. I feel like this was of really cheap quality, and not something from this brand. For $100 I expected a lot more. It was flimsy and thin, not even remotely sturdy. Kind of felt like a plastic bag.

I bought this recently, been wearing for about two weeks. Happy with the lightweight, fit and size. BUT why is the quilt batting peeling through all the thread lines? I have to pick off all the fuzz oozing out of the jacket. It's not normal. Disappointed as touted to be "improved" version of the jacket.

I have returned this jacket. Very disappointed in the construction, looked very cheaply made. Was surprised that LL Bean was selling something of such poor quality.

I owned a previous version of this jacket for many years until it wore out. I took it from the barn, then all over the world. The outer fabric was a sturdy cotton and had a lovely soft feel. Details included two interior breast pockets, all the better to store my passport when traveling, or credit card and driver's license at home. Sadly, both of those details are gone. I won't be buying another one.

I hate the zipper. Its so hard to zip this jacket up. Don't recommend this jacket.

I ordered this after your Quilted Corduroy Jacket's fit was unsatisfactory. I was surprised and how cheaply constructed it was. So disappointed. Have returned it.
