I'm petite and athletic but also curvy, so it's tough to find flattering styles that don't crush the curves or leave me swimming in extra fabric. This jacket was an unexpected win. Super warm and butter soft. I get lots of compliments and it's nice to have something that performs but is also a little more feminine than the usual techy outerwear.

Been eyeing this style for two years and finally took the plunge. Only wish I had done it sooner when more colors were available, but that's on me. Love the asymmetrical styling, the fact that there's a functional hood and that the item is as described. I wish the cow neck line was a little tighter. I thought it might be warmer than a typical straight zip up and function a bit like a scarf, but it's looser than I imagined. Not a defect, just a preference.

Great jacket. I do wish it could zip up from the bottom.

I love my new LL Bean Puffer Jacket. The asymmetrical design differs from my other winter jackets and looks more stylish. I also got it in navy instead of my usual black jackets. I am short (5' 1), and the jacket comes right to my hip, so I can see how some people found it to be a bit cropped. I love everything except the buttons on the pockets; if it has a zipper closure, it would be perfect so my phone and wallet stay in. It was a great purchase overall.

Great coat. the side zipper enables better warmth to ones neck. Well constructed. Great value.

Very comfortable to wear. It's light weight and keeps me warm. I purchased the color thyme and I like it a lot. The top of the side that fits under the zipper would be nice if it had a snap to keep it in place to keep the wind off my neck when I'm wearing the hood. Also, the sleeves are form fitting which is nice but if wearing a sweater with full sleeves a bit cramped.

Love this Jacket it is so well made like all of LL Bean gear. My only complaint is that the lower arm part of the coat is oddly tight and I don't by any means have massive arms.

I love this jacket; the only thing is that the front doesn't come up far enough on my neck so you can feel the winda scarf helps but makes it look even bulkier. Nice and warm otherwise, though.

Great winter jacket. Light weight and warm and mit too bulky. The angled zipper is a great design touch. Needs a scarf as opening around neck is loose.

This jacket is lightweight and warm, and the side zipper makes it very stylish. Unfortunately I am returning it because it's too big (I ordered my normal size but it's still quite large) and the shoulder area is very puffy (ie makes arms look big so even if I sized down, I don't think the fit would be right). It has a lot of potential if puffy shoulders don't bother you but I bought this for a sleek look and it didn't work for me.

This is an adorable jacket that looks great on! However it lacks some basic features that prevent me giving it a 5-star review. The slash/hand pockets have no zippers, only one tiny (1/4") snap. Meaning keys, phone, gloves, etc., are definitely not safe and can fall out easily, especially if you bend over or sit down. There is no internal pocket to store valuables either. The neck fits very loosely with no way to snug it (tried the hood drawcord but it doesn't work), so if you aren't wearing a scarf or turtleneck, the breeze blows down your neck. There is also no drawcord at the bottom. I would call the fit modern and boxy. I am 5'3", 135 lbs, 34D and the Petite M is slightly large but very comfortable. Still on the fence, but leaning toward an exchange for a more standard jacket model with the features mentioned. Recommended for being fashion forward, but not for high functionality.

Warm and very lightweight, my daily Jacket this winter. Despite the diagonal seams, though, it's not really shaped to the body. Its generously cut. I bought it in Large because I usually wear 2 layers beneath - I could have done better with a Medium, but this will serve me. As others have mentioned - zippers instead of snaps would be better for the pockets, and why no inside pocket? A nice, useful, well made down jacket, but could be improved.

I was kind of pleasantly surprised by the length and width of this coat. I was able to fit comfortably into a size large.. Also it is light weight and won't bog me down when I am out for a walk.The color blue is deep, and fully saturated with no funky, hippy, discoloration going on.This was a gift for which I am very grateful.

Well made and stylish. However, the waist is a little large. If you don't wear a vest or thermal liner the wind will blow up your back. I bought a size medium. I feel like the arms would be too tight if I sized down. The body is a little more boxy which usually works well for me. Will use this for good as opposed to every day wear. Still a really nice looking piece.

Wish the outside pockets were zippers not snaps and no inside breast pocket as most LLBean jackets have. I wish I had paid more attention to that when I purchased. The jacket itself is awesome - stylish & lightweight.

Love the jacket. The size was wrong. Returned fir a larger size.

Not good for short torso if you are a solid build, but very nice quality

Runs a little small in the waist for me. I had to return it for a larger size. They took care of my return and had the new coat out to me within about ten days. I think the coat looks very attractive on.

I like it, but it does puff out and change the shape of my body (even an XS). Comfy and longer in the back. I only wish I could have an internal "belt" so I would look less like a marshmallow!

I wish it had cuffs inside sleeves and zippers on the pockets instead of just a snap.

love the color, the design but wish it was a little longer and had binding elastic for the waist.

This is a very stylish jacket and runs true to size. It is on the shorter side and at 5'5" this isn't a problem but could be if you are tall. It is not as heavy as expected hence the 4 stars so I don't know how it will do in extreme cold but for fall and early winter it is perfect!

I was so hoping this jacket would have the neckline of the vest this year, meaning no bulky hood. I love the blue and the zipper gives it a little dressier look. Add that to a little longer length and it would be perfect!! Listen to us llBean.

I loved everything about this jacket! Sadly, I had to return it because it was just too short. I thought it would be okay, but after wearing it out a few times I realized it would be MUCH better about two inches longer. I really liked the zipper and the hood. Perfect in every other way. PLEASE make a slightly longer version of this one for next year!
