It is beautiful and well made. The only complaint I have about the shirt is that it is not what I EXACTLY wanted. It is more of a light jacket than the SOFT denim shirt that I wanted. I'm keeping the shirt to use as a light jacket, but I am still on the search for a SOFT casual denim shirt. I think I will have to continue my search in stores as I will have to feel the denim material of the shirt!

Nice shirt. Heavier than I expected. For a PS it was longer than most petites. I am 102 lb, 5'1".

I rarely write reviews but the circumstances justify it, I think. This is a pretty shirt with a nice, heavier weight denim. I am a 36D and the Petite Medium fit well across the bust, without any button pulling. I really liked the shirt. The light denim color is a nice neutral. However, I've decided to return it. Unfortunately, this shirt reeks of mothballs. I asked my husband to smell it without suggesting anything - just to make sure it wasn't me. It wasn't. His response: "Ugh, that thing reeks. It smells like mothballs!" Fairly recently, we cleaned out a family member's garage, so we have had an opportunity to reaquaint ourselves with the awful smell. Other reviews noted a smell, but I assumed that it perhaps was just from being in the plastic bag. No. This thing has a strong, undeniable mothball odor. It could be that the manufactuer or distributer is using mothballs or the chemicals associated with mothballs to controls insects. The issue may not affect all colors or all sizes, but whatever it is, it is not acceptable in a brand new piece of clothing. Other may feel comfortable wearing this after washing, assuming it will come out. My experience is that mothball odor will not come out of clothing, even after repeated washings. Another reviewer mentioned that repeated washings didn't fix the issue here. It's an awful, pervasive chemical smell. I would have kept this, except for the smell. Given that others have mentioned the smell too, my advice to LL Bean is to see what's going on with its suppliers. Something isn't right here. I've been shopping at LL Bean for 30 years. I've never gotten anything like this before. Regretfully, I'm returning it, even though the return cost will come out of my pocket to return something that should have arrived odor-free.

Very nice denim shirt. Good quality. Sturdy fabric.

This is my 3rd Heritage Washed Shirt, though the 1st thats unlined. I absolutely LOVE all of them & continually get compliments when I wear them. They fit well, are very comfortable and the color of this unlined shirt is one I really like and believe will wash and wear beautifully!

Needed exactly this shirt and bought despite reviews referencing "chemical odor". Washed it right away and let it dry in sun and breeze on clothes line. It is just fine now - no odor. Worth the effort.

Nice shirt but sleeves came down to my finger tips. I would were shirt with sleeves buttoned and not rolled up sleeves.

I lost my original comfy jean shirt and was looking for a replacement. This jean shirt was exactly what I wanted, the only thing is that I found the material a bit stiff. Perhaps after much use and washing it will be closer in feel to the shirt I had.

Really nice shirt but the buttons are to small and buttonholes too tight.

I'm so happy LL Bean brought back classic denim shirts. (Now please bring back classic chambray.) I loved the ones I bought in the late 1980s and 90s and wore for years and years and years. My one complaint is that the shirt has very slim arms, especially at the armpits a sad holdover from the 2000s when clothing designers assumed that women either have toothpick arms or don't need blood in those extremities.

Great shirt but runs a little small. I ordered PL thinking I could layer underneath but was not the case. Order up in size.

It arrived promptly. After trying it on, I decided that it was too big for me. I had ordered a large and should have ordered medium. I gave it away because I am housebound. It was exactly what I wanted and expected but too exspensive for me to order again'Good

I have washed this once and the smell of burning rubber that it arrived with has not dispersed. What is this smell? Will it go awway with more washed? If not, I will return it.

I love the fit and style of this shirt. I had to wash it about 6 times to get the chemical smell out of it and it has to be ironed constantly to get the pockets and collar to lay flat, but I still love it.

Unfortunately it had a terrible odor even after several washings. They sent another one and it also had the same problem. I continued to wash the first one and after 6 washings the odor dissipated. It's now very soft and comfortable. I returned the 2nd one.

Needs to be ironed! I'm disappointed but the shirt is comfortable.

Good quality, as expected. Sleeves are a little long, but OK overall.

This was just what I wanted. The reason I didn't give 5 stars, its runs big in the shoulders and the sleeves are a little short for me. Quality is good and I know I will have this for years and will wear a lot.

I purchased this in a 1X, and I do not believe the size is a 1X. It is tight in the chest, shoulders, and sleeves are way too slim to be comfortable. The cut is skimpy. The construction is well done and the quality of the fabric is great. I have been purchasing clothing from Bean for over 30 years and have noticed a decline in sizing the past 10 years which does prevent me from making additional purchases on other items I may like. There are full figured women who like LLBean clothing but it doesn't fit like it used to.

True to LL Bean quality, this shirt delivers. However, I would LOVE it if someone would offer a denim shirt for women, that does not have the utilitarian breast pockets with flaps on it. Once washed, the pocket flaps look fairly rumpled under a sweater. Loose the breast pockets LL Bean. Let us girls dress like girls.
