Love the color, fabric and fit. The buttonholes are way TOO SMALL for the buttons.

This was to replace a shirt which was just too big all over. The fit is now reasonable, and it's comfortable. Still a little long overall for a petite, though.

I wear this as an extra layer on cool spring mornings. The fit is great. I'm hoping the fabric will soften with each wash/wear. No hip pockets. Needs to be ironed around hem, collar and chest pockets.

The shirt is well made. There's a medium weight/thickness to the material. I want to love it but the shoulders are slightly too wide which makes it fit strangely on me, like they're kind of pointy. I'm going to keep it though and use for layering over t shirts.

Sturdy denim shirt, looks like it will last! Richly dyed color.

I ordered this in petite. While the sleeves fit perfect, the shirt length could be an inch or two longer. If I bought regular size, I would have needed to role up the sleeves. It was one or the other.

This is a well made shirt with a good design. My only problem with it was the awful smell, which took 3 soaking sessions and 2 washes to remove.

The shirt if fine, but it is heavier than I wanted. I would have preferred a lighter weight material. I'll wear it, tho, because it's a nice shirt.

I was surprised by how hefty this denim feels - maybe it will soften some with washing. The fit is good, although I will have to keep it out of the dryer to avoid shrinkage. It was a little pricey for me, so I'm hoping it will last a long time!

I ordered this shirt because I have purchased two others and love them. This material was different but I do like it. It also ran bigger than the others. I could have ordered a medium. I will keep it thought and wear a T-shirt underneath.

The color is darker then the picture. Very nice material

I've always wanted a denim shirt and I'm glad I bought this one. I can wear it over a cami or light shirt or alone.

I llove these shirts. I wish they fit a bit better for a really short gal like me.

I love this shirt, it is great for layering. The only reason it is not 5 stars is it is hard to button. older hands like mine have a harder time with buttons.

Nice denim shirt, though fabric is somewhat heavier than described. I ordered the washed indigo & it is 4 times darker than what is pictured in the latest catalog. It's going to need ALOT of washing before I would describe as washed indigo. Very disappointing.

Just what I wanted to replace an old denim shirt I lost. Expensive for what it is but well made, love pockets, and runs true to size. I only wear it over a t-shirt when it's slightly cool. Only gave 4 stars due to price.

I've been waiting, waiting, waiting for Bean to make a semi-fitted version of this shirt. Please.

A bit heavier and stiffer than I expected. I saw the beautiful color and bought it, not looking too closely. But I'll wear it more as a light jacket here in Southern Cal.

Haven't worn or washed it yet but like the fit and color. I'm hoping material will relax with washings. Appears to be durable and plan to wear at shirt and/or jacket. Matches shoes I bought from LLBEAN! Love the combo!

This shirt is very well made, but the petite large was a little too small, so sent back.

I haven't had a chance to wear the shirt but it looks well made. The material is heavier/thicker than I had wanted but I'll just use it during winter. I would have rather had snaps than buttons as the top button is really hard to close.

I have been wearing this shirt over a tee-shirt almost every day since I got it last month. It's very comfortable. I wish it had some detail to make it more interesting, such as tucks or pleats in the front or embroidery on the pockets.

I was relieved to receive a shirt which doesn't have many of the negatives other reviewers have mentioned. For whatever reason, it shipped to me from a store, and in my experience when that happens I tend to receive flawed items (probably not wanted by in-person shoppers) but this shirt is, for the most part, great. It's a classic style and fits me well, exactly in the way I had hoped it would. A few notable issues: First, I ordered Light Indigo and it is as dark as the Medium Indigo photo. I really wanted the light color and am wondering if perhaps mine was mislabeled. I'm hoping it will lighten up with repeated washing. Second, as is visible in one photo, it has a small off-white rectangular fabric label below the last button. This tag contrasts significantly with the blue of the shirt, especially since the blue is darker than in the photo. It looks much worse in real life than it does in that photo. The only way for it not to show is to tuck the shirt in, and it is extremely visible at all times if one wears the shirt open, as is popular. I don't know what they were thinking with this. It looks like a sticker or some other removable label I forgot to remove. I ended up taking it off, which was a tedious process as it is stitched on tightly with tiny stitches. Third (and this was to my benefit) this particular shirt definitely runs large. I ordered Medium even though I wear large in most L.L.Bean tops, since I saw a review which said it was very relaxed. Later I read reviews indicating it is very tight in the arms and back. In my case, not only does Medium fit, but it is plenty loose, even when buttoned, and I have started carrying weight in my upper arms and back and have a larger chest. It's relaxed but not sloppy. To address a couple other negatives people have mentioned - I know there can be inconsistency from garment to garment but in my case the cuffs are plenty big enough to fit over an Apple watch, and this denim is not heavy at all. It is about the same weight as chambray items I recently purchased from L.L. Bean, although the texture is different. Some have said it is very heavy. I am 5'8" and ordered the Regular sizing, not Tall, and it is plenty long, but I have a somewhat short torso for my height.

Great classic shirt, but the cuffs on the sleeves are too tight. There is not enough room to slip over a smart watch. There is not enough room to move the button either.
