I have purchased Supima shirts from LLBean for many years, and they are great. I love the material and really love the slightly-fitted style. I've tried other brands' supima shirts and none of them come close to Bean's Supima. That said, I'm needing to replace some of my ol' favorites, but LL no longer offers the V-neck style in long- or short-sleeve...Why, Bean, Why?? And what has happened to the color pink? I really don't care what the latest "color trends" are. I wear the colors that look good on me, and the mauves and corals are not flattering for my skin tone. Every new season I eagerly search the site hoping to find the Supima colors and styles I like, but have been disappointed time and again. Bring back V-necks! Bring back Pink!! I'll raise my star rating to 5+ when you do.

First time I wore it there were small holes in the fabric. Had to throw it out. What a waste b

I had great hopes for this shirt. Felt like quality material and fit wall - not too tight. But first washing shrunk it up. I cannot wear it over pants without a sweater. Yes, washed in cold water, gentle cycle. Not happy.

I received 2 white long sleeve t-shirts for Christmas. The shirt fit great before I washed it and I was really happy to have them. Washed both shirts and now neither one fits - the sleeves shrank by at least an inch and the body shrank by almost 2 inches. Pretty disappointed....I have been an LL Bean customer for over 25 years and never had issues like this before.

I'm only 5'3" and this T-shirt was too short for me and I'm short waisted. Nice feeling and good quality but the size is just wrong. Disappointed and returned

Initially the fabric quality is a nice weight and softness. However, I was a bit concerned about how short-waisted it seemed and sleeves were a bit shorter than a regular should be. After only a couple of washes, the shirts have continued to shrink in the waist and the arms. They are now practically mid-drift and 3/4 sleeve shirts. I am very disappointed in the quality and will be returning. I am a short person and yet these now fit more like a super-petites. I hope LL Bean will make a Tall of these so perhaps us ladies that prefer not to show our bellies can have shirts that fit.

I have purchased many things from L.L.Bean over the years and normally love what I have. This particular item did not meet this company's high stands. The shirt looked as if it was made of a considerable amount of spandex, not quality cotton. The sleeves were uncomfortably tight. The overall quality was disappointing

The quality of LLBean tees has certainly declined. I returned all 4 of these tees I purchased as the neck is much smaller than ones I bought previously. Shirts are uncomfortable. I used to be able to count on Bean for cotton tees, but lately I have gone elsewhere. Too bad.

I have about a dozen of these (older ones). Perhaps current styles say longer is better, but I'm 5'2", size 6, and the small regular I just bought is really tight. I have a really small bustline...can't imagine what slightly bigger gals do. This shirt is far, far too long and quite narrow. My previous smalls and XS are more roomy. After shrinkage in the past, the petites often get too short in the arm, so I thought I'd try the S. I don't think there IS a size that would fit me.

I like the shirt and I washed it on cold and didn't put it in the dryer but it just seems too short in the length. I am disappointed and won't purchase again.

I have collected at least ten of these tees over the years, some in size small, some in size medium for lounge wear. They were my favorite, fit perfectly and lovely colors. I purchased one in the lovely sea glass color about a month ago, and am heartbroken that you changed the style. This one is about two inches longer than all the others I purchased last year and before. I am five foot two and this shirt is practically a tunic, it hits my hips at just the wrong spot and looks awful on me! Sadly, I was so confident in the style and llbean quality, I washed it before trying it on. Where is your quality control? Why would you change the length on one of your staples? I gave it a 2 because it is such a lovely color. You also changed the cut of the sun-washed slacks I love so much. I am beginning to lose confidence in shopping here, especially when there is a $6.00 charge to return anything.

I have been buying pima cotton tees for many years and have loved the way they look, fit and feel. Wouldn't buy any other brand.
I ordered this shirt recently and when it came it was marked the same size but comparing it to another recently purchased shirt it is smaller across the chest and 2 inches longer and it is a petite! It doesn't fit!
Why has this been changed? It was a great shirt until now and all the colors were so great. I will have to find another place to purchase these shirts now.

I absolutely love these tees - the style is awesome, the material is so soft and a great weight - quality workmanship. My issue is shrinkage. I put these in the dryer ONE time and the sleeves were like 3/4 sleeves and the body shrank vertically about 2-3". Because of that I gave it a Fair rating. I'd recommend if you're not that tall. I'm 5'8" and have long-ish arms & legs (wear a 33" inseam and tall shirts typically fit my arms better). These tees are great the first time you wear them (at least for me). As soon as they're washed...shrinkage. It's uncomfortable to want to constantly pull the sleeves to my wrist but I can't. I'm going to try the other similar Bean tee and hope that isn't the same.

I really liked the pima cotton tee I bought last year so I recently ordered a couple more. I find the new ones to be baggier and the cotton seems to be thinner.

I have many LL Bean's tees. I like the colors and the fit and the durability. I just purchased two more, and there was a problem with each. The lighter one is on the sheer side; even with appropriate undergarments, too much is on display. The darker one was better because less can be seen under darker clothing, but the shirt had a stain. Both went back, and I'm taking a chance on a new dark shirt. The big issue is the sheerness of the pima cotton material.

I was really excited about this tee and the 3/4 length pima too. They were both too short and did not compliment my figure. I returned both of these.

I've bought these tee shirt over and over again so I'm aware of the chances. Now a days, they are no longer substantial. They are thin and stretchy. I will look elsewhere for these jerseys.
I'm not sure what is going on, but I've notice skimping in polatec and down products also.

One of L.L. Bean's all-time great items, its long sleeved, Pima cotton tee, has taken a tumble. A personal wardrobe favorite for about 15 years, the soft cotton, long sleeved shirt no longer fits. This year's model is boxy and barrel shaped as worn. Describing it as oversized would be an understatement for this classic now hit by fit and sizing problems.
As a result, Bean's long-sleeved Pima cotton tee lacks style. For this onetime appreciator, it is hard to wear, at all, without tucking it in.
Former devotees such as I can hope L.L. Bean restores the former fab styling, fit and sizing to this casual sportswear and personal luxury, once so versatile.

I must have about 20 of these cotton t-shirts. Always my go-to shirt. Bought 3 new ones for a trip north last week. These 3 are clingy, run tight at the wrist (huh?) and fabric feels cheap. Don't have a clue what's going on here. Manufacturer must have changed fabric. That's the part of online shopping that's tough. Going to be at LLBean next month. I'll be able to try them on there before buying. Darn it.

I'm older and 5'9". I have been a size 12 (M to L) forever. All my old shirts fit fine but the arms on these beautiful shirts are too tight. I should have returned them but a bigger size would be too large in the body. If you don't have ingenue arms, beware.

The fabric is very soft, but it's thin and very short. I washed it once. The length of the front and sleeves is too short for me. I'm 5'9 and weigh 145.

I was totally disappointed when I got this Tee. Last year I ordered the same thing in a different color and the fabric was a good, heavy weight cotton. This year the fabric was really flimsy and not suitable for winter wear. I plan to return this with regret that the fabric was changed.

Just purchased another pima cotton shirt. I have many. It is now cut much longer...too long and I think larger overall. looks baggy from the waist down. Bring back the old cut, it was perfect.

In the last 2 months I purchased azure and butter XS shirts. While I would prefer a heavier shirt, I agree that yours are excellent quality and look good. HOWEVER, the tightness of the sleeves ruins the whole thing. I am just under 100# and 5'3" with thinnish arms and find the sleeves are awkwardly tight. I am returning them.
If you care to put my name on a list and notify me if or when you will carry these shirts with a redesigned more proportionate sleeve width, I would certainly buy more.

I have purchased women's clothing from LL Bean in the past and have had no issues with sizing until now. This was my first purchase of the Pima cotton tees. All of my past LL Bean clothing is a misses or women's medium. I am 5' 6" and 130 lbs. The sleeves were always long enough and the torso length was always just right. I read the reviews on the Pima cotton long sleeve tees and decided to try them. Well, the fabric is soft and comfy as per the reviews. The fabric seems of good quality and will last a long time. The sleeves and shoulders fit fine. The torso length is another matter. The tees run short in the torso compared to the other LL Bean long sleeve t-shirts I have purchased in the past, even though they are supposed to "fall at the hip". I didn't think it would be an issue, since the shirts are supposed to have a "fit and feel that lasts wash after wash". Well, after wearing & washing them, following the laundering instructions, the shirts got even shorter in the torso. I will try to return them, "100% satisfaction guaranteed". So disappointed!
