Fits well in the size ordered.

Love the fit, but when I tried removing the tag I put a hole in it. PLEASE stop putting scratchy, irritating tags on your swimsuits. I know who made the suit, I don't need to have a tag poking me to remind me.

I love the fit and color, but the waistband, on both of the bottoms I purchased, rolls and folds.

As a short waisted person I am always searching for mid rise clothing. This pair fit perfectly and I could mix and match with tanking tops. I rinse out my swimsuits with cool water after every swim, but noticed a patch about 1" wide and 2" high on the back side where the material became very thin. Looking at earlier review it appears I'm not the only one with this issue. Someone said customer service told them it was a material flaw, which is odd because it seems to appear in the same spot. At this point it doesn't look like it's actually going to tear so I'm going to keep wearing it for lap swimming. It's a shame because it was the perfect fit.

At age 71 I don't like my cheeks hanging out. I wish these had a tighter lower leg opening. More modest.

I have been wearing these swim trunks happily for years. I swim every day and needed to replace a couple of pairs recently. The cut is much less generous than it used to be. (I am the same weight I was the last time I ordered.) Just to make sure I wasn't imagining this I measured an older pair against the new ones and the difference was quite visible. Can't add a photo because it was black on black and didn't show up. The same was true of the two new scoop neck bathing suit tops I bought. Disappointing.

This bottom created a bit of a muffin top while the leg openings were too large. The larger openings show a bit more of me than I like. I kept them as I needed the bottoms for the top purchased, but haven't attempted to wear them yet.

The waistband folds over, not comfortable and difficult to smooth out

The waistband elastic rolls and twists. They've been making these like this for years and LLBean customers have been mentioning it for years. The elastic isn't secured to the fabric so it's free to move, twist, and roll. Why don't they fix it? I'm having difficulty finding a simple swimsuit bottom with a modest leg opening, that doesn't ride up my cheeks, and doesn't require constant adjustment every time I move. I'm 5'1" 130 lbs and bought size 8 which seemed to fit just fine.

The waistband on these rolls and twists. I have a pair from a few years ago and I bought these hoping some upgrade had been made. When I initially put them on they're fine but with any movement I'm constantly fiddling with the elastic in the waistband to straighten it out. They're otherwise good quality and material. I wish they'd do something to secure the elastic in the waistband.

At first I was thrilled with this swim bottom, but after hand washing it and carefully hanging it out to dry I wasn't happy. The waist band got twisted. Won't lay flat.

I bought this same swim wear last year and it was a better fit for my size this one was tight not comfortable

I love LL Bean products and these swim bottoms are mostly good. My problem is with the waistband. The elastic is wide, and it ends up folding up inside the fabric -- sometimes in a weird twisted way. I wonder if I'd like the bottoms more if the elastic were sewed into the fabric differently.

Cut is nice, material thick enough but not heavy and drys well. Waistband is BAD ... the elastic inside rolls. I've never had this in anything I've worn. Poorly made for that reason

LLBean, please fix the waistband! When I get a window to do it, will be returning these otherwise well-fitting bottoms. Waistband is wide and free floating, and rolls, folds, and even slides around. Uncomfortable (not to mention the nice bunch look under the top) and also was taking a ridiculous amount of time to flatten and unroll this EACH time pulled on (or down and up, as with toileting), and whether wet or dry. Now seems to be permanently folded over, despite the time taken post wash to flatten for drying. And only worn three times! Not what I expect, but glad for return policy allowing swimsuit return after wearing it (I hope).

The fabric is good quality. However, in my club's pool the chlorine faded the material easily by the second time in the water. On the matter of the waistband rolling, an easy solution is to run a vertical stitch line in about four places along the band...no more roll.

I wore this bathing suit one time and the waist band elastic twisted inside the band. It was very uncomfortable and bulged beneath the tankini top. I am returning this item.

Well constructed, good fit, true to size, BUT the extra wide elastic in waistband does not stay flat but folds over inside the casing and is difficult to smooth out again. Additionally, after just a couple of wearings the fabric is pilling on the seat. At such a high regular price, I would expect better quality materials. Glad I got this on sale, or I would definitely send it back!

Faded the very first time I wore them. No unusual conditions, just normal pool use

Not happy with leg openings. The leg openings should be fit snugly. If they loosen or stretch out the swim bottom would be unwearable.

I have purchase several of these bottoms through the years because they fit great. This were a huge disappointment. They were way too high on my waist, above my belly button and the leg holes seemed too large and felt stretched out, which left my butt hanging out at the bottom. HORRIBLE! I am so disappointed!!

Do not buy this if you are a petite woman; fine in legs but comes up to high under chest

The elastic waistband is not sewn in and keeps twisting. It's annoying and bunches up. I also don't like that these are more highcut than I expected them to be. I was not comfortable wearing them. I would not purchase these again.

I bought this swimwear bottom for a recent trip to the beach. As several reviewers mentioned, the wide band at the top rolled the first time I wore it. It was very annoying and needed to be straightened each and every time I wore it. I will be returning it. As a side note, I am usually very happy with LLBean clothing and have many tankinis and bottoms that have lasted for years. Please consider fixing this problem.
