They ride rather low and tend to fall down, even with the tie at the waist. I washed them and hung them on the clothes line and they are very wrinkled. Not too sure about them.

I REALLY wanted to like these. I wanted longer length shorts. Unfortunately the cut is weird. The pockets are too small, the waist is weird - its too large in the back- gapes in the back. the waistband it too thick and heavy. I thought I would like them and got several pairs, but all are being returned. the stone washed cotton shorts - although shorter than i like - fit much better. Disappointed.

Technically, they fit...but they were baggy, too long and un-flattering. I retuned them.

I'd never paid $50+ for a pair of drawstring shorts but was desperate to cover my Covid 15 (lbs) when the weather warmed. I ordered these in navy and khaki because they looked comfortable, were longer than most, and the picture looked like they'd be "presentable" and had enough pockets for a dog-walker who carries bags, phone, keys, etc. First, they shrunk up shorter so now they aren't as long as I'd hoped. They also wrinkle horribly and look like 20-year-old pants pulled out of the rag bag. Not a neat appearance at all. There is trim on the pockets, which is a good thing to prevent wear, but it washed out to be lighter than the pants and contributes to the worn look. They are OK for yard work, but $54 seems a lot to pay for a pair of shorts to mow in. I suppose I could iron them, but I suspect they'd look awful again as soon as I sat down and stood up so what's the point. Really disappointed in LL Bean but couldn't return because I needed them.

The fabric, workmanship and features of these shorts are good. However, the fit of the waist is very odd. These are going back.

I expected loose fitting with room to move easily. Not the case

Those of us with a pear shaped figure can't comfortably wear these shorts. Not enough length in the rise and fullness in the derriere.

Ordered large and exchanging for an extra large. Wish the fabric had a little more give to it, good concept but needs work.

I returned these shorts because the loose fit looked odd on me. The width of the legs kind of stuck out at the sides.

I was in need of shorts and liked the look of them on the models so I ordered them. The length was good for me because I'm 69 years old and don't like short shorts but they were baggy in the hips and waist and looked frumpy. Thank you LLBean for your good return policy.

Sorry, but I hated these shorts!! They are a throwback to my brother's gym shorts from the 1980's made out of updated fabric, still gross!! I have other shorts from LLBean I Love and try not to wear too often because they decided we should all dress homogeneously!! Might I say they look like they are made for a woman! So they were returned to the store!!

Let me start by saying I love these shorts. I have a pair from two or three years ago and they serve me very well. I was happy that they added a new color, Jade. I have ordered these shorts twice now and have had to return them both times. This is because the top stitching on the hem is not secure and comes loose after the shorts are washed. I wish L.L. Bean would fix the issue because I really want another pair of these shorts.

These are not the same material or fit as previous years. Now unflattering. I have the old ones in olive and beige and lived the fit, length and comfort. Was really looking forward to adding other colors I'm super bummed had to return them and will now have to find a different shorts supplier.

If you wash according to directions the hem will curl upwards. I no longer care to iron. I am losing faith in the quality of llbean merchandise. I have an llbean customer since the days of catalogs as in 30+ years.

I wanted these shorts because I loved the color and they looked so comfy. But the material is scratchy, and they wrinkle TERRIBLY after sitting in them. It was embarrassing! They were too short and revealing when I sat down, so I unhooked the sides and rolled them down to 9" length. That made the outer edges flare out in an unflattering manner. I just returned them.

These shorts run very large. They feel like a great product but run so large that smallest size does not fit me. I am 5' tall and 105lbs.

These shorts were comfortable, fit well, were an attractive color, and were made of nice material, but I rated them one star and they are going back because of the non-functional front pockets. The rear seam of the front pockets are less than 2 inches deep. That means nothing stays in the pockets. The first few hours I wore them, things kept falling out. I lost a really nice, brand-new bottle of hand sanitizer when it fell out unbeknownst to me. Please consider only selling items with functional pockets.

Poor fit, way too small in buttocks. The worst design of any shorts I've ever owned.

They were not true to size. they ran big. Also, I did not care for the wide legs in them. The fabric was nice. I wish they would have been more to my liking. I had to send them back.
