I like the longer length, the two side pockets and two back pockets. I don't roll them up but the snaps provide that option. I have 3 pairs and will likely buy a 4th pair.

The shorts are as advertised. I prefer cotton, but these were longer which I wanted (at my age) and I didn't like the bermuda shorts. I wish there had been more choice of colors. I ordered medium which is usually my size and it fits well. It's a little roomy, or maybe "full" because of the elastic. But comfortable and I'm sure I'll wear it this summer.

They are not too short so you can definitely wear them "about town." They are comfortable and fit well. I am 5' 7" and weigh 138. I bought a medium.

I bought these shorts because I liked the button feature on the side. I love the look and feel. They fit and wear well. They are very comfortable. I'm 5'1" and sometimes shorts don't look right on my short legs. These look awesome.

Liked so much about these shortsthe fabric, style, pockets, quality construction, fit everything except the mid-rise. When walking or hiking, with a phone or keys in the pockets, they can pull down. Prefer not to be worried about my shorts coming off my hips, or having to re-tie the draw string. Best to have a high-rise. Sadly, returned.

I love the fit and the length, although fabric started to pull near the pocket which is not expected on a brand new pair of shorts that cost 49!

I like the ripe stop shorts and pants. They are very comfortable and fit well. I would prefer that they sit on the natural waste and not the lower hip.

I like the length of these shorts and the elastic waist.

Comfortable and just the right size. The material is light for summer heat. The only negative is that the hems don't wash as well as I'd like. They crinkle up out of the dryer, and I don't want to have to iron shorts.

I bought the smoky mauve in medium. For reference I'm 5'6 and weigh 155 lbs. and 60 years old. The fit is perfect! The only thing I didn't like is the color is much darker in person and looks a lot more purple. They are well made and a nice length.

I ordered these in mauve and was so excited to receive them, but when I went to unsnap the one back pocket, it pulled right out of the material. I was so disappointed. I sent it back asap hoping they still had that color in my size. The new shorts came promptly. I unsnapped both pockets and am going to leave them that way.

Nice shorts, took one star off because mauve color didn't go with anything but white or light gray. Very difficult to find anything to wear with that color.

I like these shorts, as I also have the long pants and cropped versions. The only thing I don't care for is the leg opening seems a bit huge, not like in the picture. They flare out, which is fine for when you roll them up, but if you want to wear them unrolled there's a whole lot of flapping fabric flaring to the side. Other than that, they are very comfy. They wash up well, except the hemline tends to come out of the dryer all wonky... I ironed them the first time, but nah... it won't show when rolled, so no more ironing for me!

The longer inseam and leg that is a bit wider at the knee are good for me as I have larger thighs. The material and fit are both comfortable. I did create a cuff on them as that makes them more flattering on me. Also like the colors that are not the usual.

These are cute shorts, but they were a little big on me. I returned these for a different style. LLBean is very good about returns/exchanges, and when I find something I like and fits well, I usually buy more than one in a different color.

I would have given these shorts 5 stars but I guess manufacturers or designers of women's clothes seem to think that we do not need pockets, especially when we're out of doors doing things like hiking, etc. Oh, yes indeed, there are in fact, pockets, but they're not suitable for any sort of use. There are virtually no pockets because they're completely useless. If these shorts were made for men they would have nice deep pockets. As customers women are paying the same amount as men for an equivalent product - why skimp on something as important as pockets. It's not like women carry purses when out hiking. These aren't even deep enough to carry one key and one piece of ID. Come on LLBean, surely you figured this out a long long time ago. Otherwise, these would have been fabulous 5 star shorts.

Really like these shorts but wish they came up higher (at least in the back) on the waist. And the pockets are a smidge short, esp on the side.

Love the waistband on these shorts, as my over-60 body does not like constricting waistbands. The fabric is sturdy but comfortable, and I like the color and length. I'm not overly fond of large drawstrings, but can live with it since I like these shorts.

When the leg is extended to be longer, the were way to wide. I wanted a longer length but returned I returned the shorts. I have this item in pants and was disappointed with shorts. When legs are snapped to shorter length it is okay. I gave 4 stars because okay at shorter length. 3 stars for longer length.

I have three long pair of these-one pair lined for winter-so I will try shorts for summer. I did order up to small size as I want to be loose for hot weather and thought length might be little longer.

I love the fit and choice of length with the snap side for folding up. Would have given it 5 stars except the hem wrinkles in the wash and needs to be ironed - not a very camp friendly feature.
