These shorts are the most comfortable, lightweight and cool on hot humid summer days in MN. I appreciate the two length option and so easy to care for...just wash & wear.

Great fit and comfortable shorts. Love the length and the option to roll up the shorts especially since I have short legs. I am a size 12-14 and ordered a large. The adjustable waist is great too as I usually have problems finding shorts that fit both my waist and hips.

Love comfy shorts in summer and these are just the ticket for wearing to Farmers' Markets, Gardening, to the Mall and Beach. First of all, they are very nice looking and the fabric is strong and fine. I love the color, stretch and only wish they came in more of my fave colors like khaki and green. You'll love both the feel and the look of these shorts!

As a 66 year old, newly retired nurse, I'm revamping my summer wardrobe for home life, gardening and travel. I LOVE the 10" length of these shorts. And fabric is very comfortable. Thank you, LL Bean.

Now, I'm waiting for warm enough weather to wear them. I like the modest length, the fit (relaxed enough that the Small fits well), and comfort of the fabric. Very pleased.

I bought these shorts a month ago, so they have been washed. The fabric is great and wears like iron. Wished they came in petite as the legs are a little large on me. You can cuff up with the snap for a shorter look. I like these shorts and color is good

You have to iron the hem on legs after washing . Otherwise they are great shorts.

They are great, but much too big for me. I know I could return them, but I can't easily do so, so won't. This is on me. I should have ordered on measurement rather than size.

The shorts are very nice... but... they run a bit large. I'm 5'4" 115 lbs and the size small can slide off if I don't tightly tie the drawstring (but that's what the drawstring is for, right?). The pockets... ARGH... the pockets in front are not deep enough to securely carry an ID and a key. (Other Bean shorts have a little clip in a front pocket to secure a key). The back pockets are less secure. Overall, still a nice pair of shorts.

I love these shorts but they definitely run a size larger than the description/sizing on them claims. They were almost falling off me. Had to return and buy the smaller size, and would have bought them in all the colors but by then they weren't available in the size that actually fit. If they ran true to size I would have given them 5 stars.

I'm a fan of ripstop pants and these are no exception. I would have given 5 stars but the front pockets are far too shallow to hold anything. Even my Kleenex falls out. Please put deep front pockets and you will have perfect shorts.

Overall a good purchase. These shorts are light weight & good quality. I am 5 ft 2 " & they hit me just above the knee. They can also be rolled up & snaps are provided for that purpose. They are not high rise if that is what you're looking for. Also, they do not shrink. I have washed & dried them a few times already. They do not require ironing IMO. I usually wear a size 8 petite in pants but bought these in a Regular small & they fit well enough.

I thought by the name of the product that they would be more stretchy. The fabric is not, though the waistband is stretchy. I haven't worn them yet because it's still cold where I live, but I'm looking forward to because the fit is perfect.

Comfortable & flexible in terms of stretch and style (adjustable length) & they are sturdy & dry quickly. I do line-dry my laundry & the darker colors fade. That said I have 3 pairs!

I have purchased these shorts in both the 7" and 10" inseam like the 7" inseam and returned the ones with the 10" inseam because the legs flared out too much at the bottom and did not look attractive. I do like the materiala bit less soft than some other shorts but feels quite durable.

I have these in carbon navy & dark taupe and love them. Decided to try sandbar but, after washing them, wore them only once! Color is too yellow and looks awful with my skin so, sadly, am returning them. PLEASE make these in black. Couldn't decide how many stars - shorts are great but sandbar isn't.

These pants run big and the pockets are too small. However it is difficult to find better shorts, so i may get another pair in a smaller size.

I bought these in a 6, which fit well, but did not care for the flared legs, which are needed in order to allow for turning up the cuff. I was not going to cuff them, so I returned them. The flared leg looked silly. Otherwise, the construction is nice and I love drawstring waists in general. I wish they had worked out. I have not found a drawstring waist bottom that fits me right at LLB in about 2 years. I conditionally recommend them to others who would be cuffing them.

I have these shorts in three colors. All XL. I'll do the complaints first: 1) I have to iron the hems after they come out of the dryer (it only takes 10 minutes total, but I'm lazy. They're the only articles of clothing I own that I have to iron.), 2) If the pockets were deeper these shorts would be so close to perfect I wouldn't even care about the ironing, and 3) The drawstring is too short to easily tie in a bow. The elastic on the taupe pair stretches but for some reason they won't stay up without the drawstring (this was the case when I got them and I just never got around to exchanging them). I have it cinched up so they barely fit over my hips and I just leave it that way. The other pairs, I don't need the drawstring. Bean would probably replace them if I send them back, but I've had them so long I'd feel bad. I'm old school in that if I've had the use of them this long it seems wrong to ask for a new pair now. Now that I've said all that, I really am a big fan of these shorts. The fabric isn't stretchy but the waistband is. And like everything else I buy from Bean, they're really good quality. I've had mine at least five years, I wear them all the time, and they still look new. I'm about to order a fourth pair in Steel Blue that I hope is really more of a light gray.

I have worn these shorts most every day, and they look great cuffed and uncuffed. My only complaint is that while the front pocket is deep enough to hold a phone, the angle makes it impossible to sit down. It is a small thing, and did not stop by buying a second pair.

These shorts are very well made and I liked the taupe color, but they just weren't flattering on me. They pooched in the back due to the gathered waistband, the legs were too long for my short frame, and the legs were longer in the back than in the front. Overall, they just looked awkward. For reference, I'm 5'1", 110 lb and purchased size XS.

Liked the length, but the legs are way too wide for me.

I love the shorts, very comfortable but the leg seam wrinkles in dryer and I can't iron it out

Really comfortable waistband for all sizes. They are pretty long (just above my knees), but you can roll them up & snap to make shorter. I like these shorts.
