These shorts are so light, comfortable, and well-constructed. Perfect loose fit and great for the beach.

I got these shorts in the rosy shade--goes well with my LL Bean striped 3/4 sleeve tee. The shorts are comfortable and cute! I like that they can be worn longer or rolled up, and I definitely love the deep pockets. The flat, stretchy waistband is smooth and flattering. I am thinking of getting the shorts in black.

I just ordered another pair in Dark Taupe. Soon I will have 3 pairs to work my way through summer days. These shorts are great, and the extra inch in length when you roll the leg cuffs down is very flattering... The ones I ordered and wore nonstop last spring/summer look brand new. No pills or snags. They are a great value for the money! Did I say that they were totally comfortable? Indeed they are!

Because of the stretch waist, these shorts are comfortable and I was able to wear a medium instead of a large. Same fit as the full length pants and the capris. They are comfortable in warm weather and wash and dry without shrinking. I am a big fan.

Love the fit, love the material. Comfortable and easy to clean. Wish more colors were available in my size at the store. These are now my go to shorts!

These shorts are exactly what I needed and they not only fit very well but are also very comfortable.

I bought the mauve specifically to go with a white and mauve print tee. I loved them so much I wanted to get a few other colors but must have been too late. When I returned to the website and put in the item number nothing came up. Now that they are back on the site, they are sold out in my size in every color. I'll keep watching to see if they come back as I would love to have these in the other colors. Great for camping and hiking!

This is my second pair. Two will do because they dry so quickly. The shorts are very comfortable, a great length for modest legs, light, with handy pockets and drawstring waist. They seem now to be out of stock. I hope next summer Bean carries them again.

Bought one pair to try them out, then every color in my size. The XL was a little large, but noting wrong with a comfy fit. (Large was a bit snug.) Wonderful if you prefer a longer short to cover heavy thighs without moving all the way to Bermuda shorts.

Very comfortable shorts. Nice fabric and good quality. They run a little big. Purchased an XL which was too big. Exchanged them for a L which was fine. Happy I purchased them.

These shorts are super comfortable. I love that they are 100% cotton. With a quick iron they look like new after every wash. I like that the pocket liners are printed with a design. I only wish the design was more conservation oriented instead of hunter oriented.

These shorts have quickly become my favorite. They are light weight yet very well made. They wash easily and did not shrink. They do not wrinkle out of the dryer. I like the loop on the sides to roll them up which is how I usually wear them. They are super comfortable. The waist band is stretchy yet stays put nicely. The pockets are big and roomy. Can you tell that these are the best shorts ever!

While there is a part of me that thinks that these border somewhat on 'MOM" shorts of somewhat, I have got to say that they are pretty cute. We are now in the hottest part of summer. They are lightweight but also really sturdy. The neutral colors go with everything. I am glad that I bought them.

These are my new favorite shorts. They are super comfortable, look nice, and are versatile. They seem to run slightly big, which I like, so this works well for me.

Comfortable, flattering. It doesn't get any better than that. But now they are out. I hate it when LL Bean cancels what I love.

great summer fabric. Front pockets deep enough for keys & a tiny wallet. Back pockets big enough for cell phone (but wont snap but thats ok). I normally wear a 16 in other brands and ordered xl. They are a little roomy, but hey its summer and hot. Love the waistband. Cotton, soft and drawstring so again, not hot. I bought pants too. For some reason they are not as roomy but still my favorite pants. Will buy another pair

These fit great. They are comfortable and light weight enough to deal with muggy and hot weather. Should have purchased more.

This is my second pair, the other was the mauve both are great. Fit is good the waistline is comfortable. These are just as good as the pants in this style, would buy again.

These are great shorts. I bought a size I knew would probably be on the too large side, but my weight is variable and so I wanted to be sure I had plenty of room. Plus the shorts can be adjusted at the waist. And I like to have a roomy seat and hips. The weight is absolutely perfect, light enough for hot summer days and they can be pretty quickly air dried if need be (like when camping or away from home). And they are very well-constructed. Highly recommend.

I like the soft waist band and appreciate the drawstring. I don't believe they've shrunk. I wish I could buy more but my size (large) is out of stock. I wish they came in more colors. I only see tan as a choice. I accidentally got a bleach Splotch on the back pocket! They are a lower/ modern cut so tops need to be long or tucked in.

I love these shorts! Great fabric. Very comfortable. They are a slightly large but that's okay. Two criticisms; the hem wrinkles, but more important, my phone & lip balm fall out of the pockets! The pockets are large enough but shallow. I like them well enough to order another pair in a different color.
