These shorts are cute and very comfortable. They are short, but not too short. Casual, but stylish. Great with a sporty or dressy tee. Love the color too. Would like to see them made in other colors.

Very well constructed shorts. Classic looking and should hold up for many seasons. Fabric goes with any color top. Looks like fitted short when top covers the drawstring. Comfortable with roomy thighs and a good length. Lightweight fabric for summer with very well made pockets. The waistband is a little thicker than I expected but I am otherwise very satisfied. Well done LL Bean!

The elastic waist with adjustable ties is very comfortable. I like the color, the fit, and the fabric a lot..

I like these shorts MUCH better than the sunwashed shorts. They are more tailored and don't feel sloppy. I am petite, but the length was still good for me as I don't wear short shorts anyway. I bought three pair (two chambray, 1 tan) and will definitely buy more if LLBean adds more colors.

These shorts are extremely comfortable. I purchased them because I prefer shorts with an elastic waist which aren't that easy to find--especially those that are well made. These shorts have a comfortable elastic that doesn't give after wearing for a few hours. Would really appreciate LL Bean offering these shorts in a longer length (10"). I would order them in several colors.

These shorts arrived right before 4th of July, and the 90+ degree heat and humidity here in the northeast. They are cool, comfortable and fit great. I wish I got the other color before it sold out!

I have just purchased a second pair of these shorts because I know I will be living in these along with the Layering Tanks all Summer! Very comfortable fit and perfect length. I wash in cold water, remove from the dryer after just enough time to steam out the wrinkles, and then lay them flat to dry. No iron necessary. True to size based on the size chart. Just get them already, you won't regret it!

Love these shorts! Finally I found shorts that are cut for comfort for those of us with larger derrieres! LL Bean: Please give us more style choices like this. Keep in mind: Not everyone is model thin!!

This shorts are a huge hit for me this summer. We have extremely hot and humid summers and these shorts are comfortable, soft, and cool. I plan on living in these this summer. Cannot go wrong ordering these if you are looking for something other than athletic shorts for comfortable and fashionable shorts.

Comfortable, cute and go with any shirt. They washed and dried nicely also.

I'm at an age where I'm struggling to find the right shorts. I am 54 years old and I want something stylish but comfortable, that isn't too short. This pair is a nice material and they wash well. They go with just about everything, but I do wish they were a bit more stylish. I almost feel a little frumpy in them.

They really are about 2 sizes too big so take that into account when ordering. Otherwise, they are very nice and I'd order again in smaller size.

I like these shorts! The only thing is, "mid rise" pants with an elastic waist are not very flattering to one's figure. I wish the rise was a little bit higher, but not total high rise. The fabric bulk hits right where you don't want it to and causes excess "bulge". I do love the fact these shorts come in actual sizes, rather than just the S-M-L etc., so they do fit better and I wish all pants would go back to actual sizing. These shorts are very well made and wash/dry great without shrinkage. Love all the pockets!! But, if you aren't skinny as a rail anymore, wear a baggy shirt over top to cover the unflattering part, as the shorts are really comfy on a hot day!

The color is exactly what I wanted. The fabric is a little heavier than I expected but I'm sure they will wear well. I'll be gardening in them and they'll be great for that. Love the off white drawstring. Nice touch.

Comfortable. Good shorts, the fit is more straight so they aren't as roomy at the bottom around my legs. I have a curvy shape with bigger hips. I bought the ttencel shorts along with these and those fit so perfectly, it makes these score a bit less

The shorts are cute. I normally wear a size 4, but I read the reviews and decided to order one size larger. I think that the size 4 would have been too tight, so I'm glad that I ordered up in size. I also would have liked them to be slightly longer, but they are okay. I do have to iron them a bit around the legs because they tend to have a weird crease in them after going through clothes dryer.

These shorts are very comfortable and great for wearing around the house. I just wish they had a little more stretch in the fabric. I would buy them again.

I like them okay but, not as much as the original sunwashed canvas shorts. These are a bit bulkier in the pockets too. While I took a small in the sunwashed canvas shorts these only come in # sizes. I bought a size 10 not knowing how they would fit but I could have easily taken a size 8. I weigh 137 lbs 5'4" tall. PLEASE BRING BACK THE SUNWASHED CANVAS SHORTS!!!!!
