Easy to wear, comfortable, washes beautifully, always looks crisp and neat, yet casual. Good quality, lightweight, all around shorts.

These are fantastic shorts. Very flattering, but be warned they run really large! I am 5'4'' and 130 lbs and the extra small fit me perfectly. I have loved the Vista Camp pants, so I decided the try the shorts and I was very pleased. Very comfortable (especially the waistband) and flattering. They are the perfect length for me - not too short and not Bermuda-long either. The material is light and cool. I got the granite color. Love them. LLBEAN - please make these in some lighter colors!!! I would love a stone or light khaki. The color palate is very dark for summer. I understand that dark colors hide the dirt when camping and hiking, but I also wear these to the beach, amusement parks, shopping and errands. They are great for any summer activity.

I love these shorts. They are so lightweight that they are great for hot summers. They have 2 zip Front pockets which are deep enough for a cell phone. The back pockets are also deep enough and sturdy enough for a cell phone. I usually wear a medium in all shorts but I wear a small in these. I ordered both and the small fits well.

I own two pair and go out fishing every weekend and there are perfect cool and comfy!

I've been looking for shorts like this for a while. Shorts that have an elastic waist, comfortable fitting for gardening or to play racquet sports. Length is also great. Would've ordered more but it was too late in the season to get colors I wanted.

I absolutely love these shorts. I have three pairs, and wear them every day. They are very comfortable, cool, and wash well.

I have several pair of these shorts in differerent colors. The are comfortable, easy to travel with, and look great with different tee shirts. It is hard to find nice shorts, so I really appreciate these!

Very comfortable and a good fit for exercise. Fabric is light. Waistband is smooth. I ordered a second pair and the similar pants.

I am in love with these shorts and have purchased two pairs, the black and the granite. I will very likely purchase another color and am also planning on purchasing the Vista Camp Pants for cooler weather. They are comfortable, functional, and stylish, all at the same time. I love the zippers on the front pockets and having the option to keep the pockets open or not. They are extremely comfortable and allow for a lot of flexibility. They wash well and I do air dry them, mostly because I air dry most of my favorite clothes to keep them safe :-) However, I did accidentally dry them once and they were still perfect. For reference, I am normally a size 4 in shorts/pants, so the XS in these shorts fit perfectly.

Terrific purchase, comfortable, lightweight.

I have had a hard time finding pants that I like because my waist is a size larger than my hips. These pants have a wide, non-binding waist band, that does not pinch my waist. The material is light weight and very comfortable over all. The one thing I have noticed is that the length of the shorts are a bit too short for this old granny. Perhaps someday you will offer these shorts in a longer version.

I bought these because hiking shorts tend to be a little short on me. These are a great length (although they do still ride up a bit). Love the zip pockets and the easy fit.

These are PERFECT shorts for summer activities. Plus they are nice enough to wear out and look great with a dressier top as well as my go to tee shirts. I also tried a medium but since I play tennis, I need a little extra room to tuck the tennis ball in my pocket so I went with the large. The waist is very comfortable but sturdy enough to not let the shorts droop, even in the larger size. I wish I had ordered each color but when I went back they were out of stock so I wasn't able to get the granite or the black. Even though these shorts are a bit pricey, they are well worth it!

I love these shorts! I never buy two of the same item until I see if I like the fit but I took a chance and I bought the green and the navy shorts. The pockets are great and I like the zippers on them. My iPhone stays in place in the pocket although it does sit at an angle so you can see a corner of the phone sticking out. It has never fallen out out of the pocket.

These shorts are perfect: light weight, comfortable and - finally - the right number of pockets! I walk 5-6 miles every morning and now have pockets for keys, phone, tissues and my emergency snack. The length is great and the adjustable elastic waist band is wide enough to be both comfy and secure. My only complaint is the price - especially when I want them in every color!

I bought these shorts because I love the capris. I LOVE THESE SHORTS!!! They are very comfortable, non-binding and quick-drying. I love the capris for the same reason. The long pants are very comfortable, but a little too long and too baggy for my taste.

The Vista hiking shorts are just what I wanted. The fabric is light weight and quick drying. The length is not too short or too long and they fit great. Not too tight, not too loose and figure flattering as well. The zippered front pockets help keep necessities safe -- such as my mask to grab if passing people on the trail, the keys and other sundries. I like that LL Bean has offered navy blue as a color option. For years it was almost impossible to find navy blue anything. It is a nice change from black and more practical than stone or white.

I live in Florida, but have not been a wearer of shorts for many years. I always felt uncomfortable in them - especially riding up between the thighs. But the current summer heat prompted me to try. I ordered these in size 2X, which is my normal size. They are wonderful - very lightweight and comfortable. The length is perfect. I do not feel exposed in them. They are a loose fit, but the elastic waist and drawcord make them an easy fit. I also like the pockets, both in the front and rear.

These are, by far the most comfortable shorts I have ever worn. They are so lightweight. I often find that the "cuffs" of other shorts start to ride up my legs when I walk, but so far, not these. The test will come when I mow the lawn! Hopefully other colors will become available in my size so I can purchase more.

nice shorts. very light weight material, which is nice for the summer. I like them a little roomy and these were nice, not restricting at all. Decent length on the legs too.
