I purchased two pair of these pants (granite and dusty olive) for an early fall trip. I initially ordered my usual LL Bean size medium but returned them for size small which fit much better. I love the comfortable knit waist and since I am only 5'4" I am happy that the leg can be easily tied up. The fabric is sturdy but very light weight and super comfortable. The pockets are small however and won't even hold a cell phone which is my only criticism. I expect I will get a lot of use from these well beyond my fall travels.

These slacks are comfortable, cool, stylish and functional.
Great product. After my first pair, I brought 2 more!

I purchased these pants in black and olive green. I primarily wanted them for gardening. They are perfect for that but I find myself wearing them simply for comfort and convenience. I typically live in jeans and these are a nice change from that. They dry very quickly when I get sprayed by the garden hose when watering plants. They wash up very well.
The pocket design on the back make them a little more stylish than many of the similar designed pants I've tried from other stores. Highly recommend.

The material of the pants is very comfortable. The elastic waist band ensured a perfect fit and comfort when hiking/camping. These pants endured a strenuous sweaty hike and were completely dry when I returned to camp. Love these pants!

There is enough stretch in the waist of these pants to make them very comfortable. The fabric is very soft and lightweight. I usually wear a medium so that's what I ordered and they fit perfectly. They're very versatile and great for traveling. I might have to order a pair in black.

Love these - light weight - great for packing and travel - tighten the ankle or not. Super!

These are proving to be comfy, casual, very lightweight summer pants. Although the description says they sit below the waist, I find them to be right at the waist, & I consider this a positive. The wide elastic waistband is very comfortable and reasonably flattering.
It would be awesome if these were made in a capri length.

Great for lounging or walking. Comfy but not sloppy. I've been wearing them in the South on a road trip and they're not too hot. They wash well. I have air-dried them and they dry fast...the knit waistband takes a little longer to dry than the legs but not much. Thank you LLBean reviewers for all the good product advice over the years!

These pants are so lightweight and they stretch in all the right places. Having worn them on a challenging trail in Acadia National Park I can also attest to their durability. I could wear them everyday!

These pants are really comfortable and have great pockets, especially the zippered ones in front. I wear them for hiking, camping and travel. I wish they were sold in medium-tall. I am 5'8" and they are a couple of inches short but I still like to wear them.

Heading back to France this summer again for a 5 1/2 week dig, and I am so pleased that I discovered these pants. I am not a tiny person (working on that), and these are the only pants I have found that don't cut my circulation off at the waist... Not a good thing when you are kneeling in the dirt....
They are lightweight (great for travel), thin, flexible material (will be good in July in Southwestern France) and attractive!
Nothing bad to say! So happy!

These are the most comfortable pants I own. Here's what I love about them: light weight fabric is cool enough even for warm summer days outdoors. Great for walking, hiking, working in the garden. Rip-stop fabric so they survive pulls and snags from branches and thorns both in the garden and in the woods.Fabric has stretch/give, moves with you. Pockets with zippers so phone, keys and wallet won't fall out and get lost even when bending and reaching. Adjustable waistband. I need more room in the hips/seat but have a smaller waist so I really appreciate being able to use the elastic drawstring to get a custom fit. you can cinch the legs at the ankle using the sewn in elastic cord. This is so important because I cinch the legs and can pull my socks up over the pants to keep out ticks. I've had Lyme Disease two years in a row now and don't want it a third time. I spray my shoes, socks and the bottom of the pants from the knees down with bug spray and that's pretty effective at keeping ticks off me. These are so comfortable I wear them almost every day, including just for relaxing on the deck etc. I bought two pair and I'm going back to purchase the third in black.

I bought these pants to golf in (lots of pockets/comfortable). I happened to get them soaked while power washing my patio, and was thrilled when these pants completely dried within 15 minutes. Bought a second pair. Will wear for more than golfing.

I love these pants and have bought 2 pair. They're comfortable, wash well and dry quickly. Please offer them in some lighter colors such as taupe, beige, etc. I don't like the green.

I plan to take on my upcoming trip. They are very comfortable, light weight. Will wash and dry easily overnight, lots of pockets, easy easy waist. I shortened the legs about an inch by turning the hem so that the tie is still accessible from the outside.

I bought one pair of these pants last fall, and took them on a trip to Africa last month (March). They are sensational for traveling, especially for sitting on airplanes for hours on end. The soft waistband is a dream come true when you are packed into seats that offer little room for comfort. They also take up very little room in your luggage on the rare occasions that you are not wearing them. I really like the little elastic at the hemline, since my legs are a bit short for the length of the XL pants, but it is easy to hike them up a bit so that they won't drag on the ground - or you can move them up above your calves if necessary.
They are very lightweight, so if it's chilly outside, you can manage in a cold climate (we spent two 35-degree days in Amsterdam on the way over). Just put some lightweight long johns underneath. They dry really fast, which is also quite handy for traveling. I did get two pulls near the knee sometime during the first few days of our journey, but fixed the damage with a wire-loop needle threader. My first pair of these pants were a light grey, so they matched all my tops. Since I returned home, I ordered a couple of more pairs, in dark grey and in olive green. I think they will be great for hiking and paddling this spring and summer. The price is a bit high, but it's worth it.

I bought a pair last year and really loved them. Went back for a second but they were out of stock. Ordered and received a pair this year (they were back-ordered for a while), but was worth the wait.
The XL seems to run a bit large in the waist. The only recommendation I have is to possibly make the elastic in the waist a bit more snug. Still, if other colors were available I would buy one of each!

Just thought I'd check back to see if any other colors had been added since late last summer to these wonderful pants. Sad to see this is not the case. I love the perfect fit, the weight and every other thing about these lightweight pants. I can wear them all summer long to prevent my fair skin from being sunburned and I never feel too warm in them. I have both the gray and olive green, so please consider more colors, like navy, khaki, black...you'd have me on the hook for one of each!

I was hesitant about buying these, but I am so glad I did. I have both colors. I wear them often when and would wear them to work every day in the summer if I had more of them. Would love to see them in more colors in the future, such as khaki and slate grey/black.

Just received them today and love the fit.Went right to computer to order another color but sold out. Seems like a popular pant, mostly out of stock. I agree with other reviewers, need more colors and more stock. Good quality clothing. Love LLBEAN.

I love these pants. The first time I wore them I was soaked from a rainstorm. They dried fast and are super comfortable. I think the fit is a little large so I bought one size smaller. I've already recommended them to friends because they are my favorite new hiking pants!!
