We used these king sized sheets for about a year and a half. In the last month or two of use they started to feel thin and fragile with small holes forming in the fabric. I then woke up one morning to my feet on the bare mattress, and an 18" horizontal tear along the sheet. The same thing is now happening to the matching comforter cover we purchased at the same time. For bedding at this price point, I expect better quality and longevity.

I was so disappointed in these sheets! Even though we have a thicker mattress, the sheets are oversized. This causes the fitted sheet to wrinkle which isn't comfortable when sleeping. Also, I find the sheets very rough, scratchy, and irritating to my skin. No way are is this sheet set worth the cost.

I bought these expecting smooth, but soft sheets. They are slick and shiny like polyester. I'm told that this is a quality called "cool" sheets. Lesson learned. I'll return these.

I was so exited for these sheets based on the NYT Wirecutter review, which just raved about them. I should have paid closer attention to the part of the review where it says, "percale isn't for everyone" because some find it too rough on the skin. To me these sheets feel like they're made of woven plastic. Hopefully they'll soften with repeated washing (as the review assures they will). But so far first impressions are not good.

I purchased initially the Mid-Blue color and loved the sheets, so with-in a year I ordered Vapor Gray and alternate between colors as I wash them. The Vapor Gray bottom sheet has developed 2 large areas at opposite corners where it became thin and shredded.
I patched the approximately 9x26 inch area with the extra length from the king sized pillow cases and now recently have purchased a new bottom sheet. Very disappointed and confused why the quality of one color is so different than the other. Paid the higher price for percale sheets expecting a quality item. I will be really mad if it happens again to the new bottom sheet I had to purchase!!!!

I do not recommend purchase. Product was significantly delayed. Once received, two tears appeared on opposite sides of the bed for no apparent reason. We have never had this happen. Very disappointing.

Was looking forward to getting these sheets. I should have listened to the most recent reviews stating that earlier versions of these sheets were very soft but more recents are not. So true.

I love percale sheets. They are becoming increasingly difficult to find at a high quality. I had high hopes for the Supima Cotton percale sheets from LLBean. Upon arrival I knew from looking at them something was off. The feel of the sheets was synthetic and upon checking the tag, it merely said "100% Cotton Made In China".
Something seems amiss. These sheets are advertised as Supima cotton but that information is not included on the tag. The FTC does not require it to say Supima Cotton (I checked), but it seems like if that is an advertised component of the sheets it would be included on the tag. I don't feel confident that these sheets are Supima Cotton ( I have numerous sets of both Supima and Egyptian cotton percale sheets as comparison)
I didn't even unpack the sheets once I viewed the tag. I just sent them straight back.
I would not recommend this product to someone who is looking for really good, Supima Cotton percale sheets.

I have purchased 10 sets of these for my home and family over the last 10 years. As avid CR and Wirecutter fans, we were proud to sleep on the best.
They are no longer the best. Unless we just got an outlier, but in Sept 2023, we were shipped a King set that was scratchy and didn't even feel like cotton. We know what to expect since we've owned so many sets of this exact style and weave and this couldn't have disappointed us more. Felt like a cheap polyester set from a big box store - to the point that we couldn't sleep well until we switched back to an older set.

I bought them after reading the NYT review. They are literally like sandpaper. Not smooth, rough and scratchy. I tried washing them and it didn't work. I have to keep them now but I wouldn't recommend them at all.

The corner seams are15" but that is too short to go under the mattress, so it constantly comes off. Also - it iis slick, feels more like sateen than percale

I didn't like the feel (a bit stiff and slippery) and the color was "muddy" and not the clear and cheerful pink shade I was expecting. Unfortunately I had to keep them as I had guests arriving and no time to replace them. I would have returned them if I had had time.

The sheets were large for our bed (the fitted sheet in particular) and a bit itchy

Excellent fabric. Unfortunately pockets much too deep for a temperpedic twin adjustable mattress.

Great thread count & weight, but they are super itchy. So bummed to slide into them & feel like I'm being exfoliated. I'm very surprised given the great reviews.

These sheets are very thin and wrinkle badly after washing. Pillowcases and the border of the flat sheet must be starched and ironed. I sewed two flat sheets together to get something of substance. The flat sheet is wider than stated, so it hangs out past the bedspread. The pillowcases are so flimsy that I added another pillow cover to protect my new pillows. After 9 moths of use, the edges of the pillowcases frayed. I clip the loose threads after every wash. Even the tag inside the cases poked a hole through to the outside. This is a very disappointing product.

I'm confused about the reviews. I bought these sheets for one of my guest beds based on so many positive reviews. Washed them and they came out of the dryer a stiff wrinkly mess. They need to be ironed! And I am not ironing sheets. I'm embarrassed to have them on a guest bed so will be replacing asap.

I was really excited about these sheets after reading the Wirecutter review but am very disappointed at how scratchy they feel. They make for a very uncomfortable sleep.

I am a bit disappointed in them. They are not soft, rather scratchy. They don't live up to the Wire cutter review. The review that prompted me tp purchase them.

2 years ago I purchased a set of these sheets in light tan. Based on other things I purchased at LL Bean it seemed like a good idea. BUT over time the sheets faded where my body touched the sheets. The pillow cases now are a much lighter color where my head rests, while the sheets have a similar lighter color along the area where my back rests. The fading seems to now cast a light green tinge rather than the original tan. Highly disappointed, not up to the quality I expect from LL Bean.
