If I had not pre-washed this twin size set, I would've returned it. Both the fitted and flat sheet are too large. I had to tuck multiple times to smooth the bed surface, and because the cotton is so slippery this has to be done each time I make the bed. The flat sheet hangs below my twin sized quilt on both sides, though I made the quilt large enough to cover a standard twin sheet. Also slippery, my quilt slides off to one side or the other so I wake up uncovered and have to reposition the quilt. I am very disappointed.

Too scratchy! Not as soft as advertised! I have washed them 4 times and they are still scratchy!

I have washed these sheets several times and they feel like sandpaper. They will not get soft which I would expect for the price. I had to change them as they were too rough to sleep on. I would not recommend them.

I don't understand why some people think these are "soft." The set we have is rough and scratchy and we are not happy that we bought them.

I did a lot of research and these sheets were highly rated in several sites. I washed them and put them on my bed and was excited to try them out. Unfortunately, they were like sleeping on sand paper. My face actually felt raw in the morning from the pillowcase. Very disappointing! These went back.

These sheets are super itchy! Bought them because of the Wirecutter recommendation but they are sooo itchy and rough. Very uncomfortable. Returning them.

We have bought a lot of sheets from LLBean and always before have been happy with the quality...Alas, our latest purchase of 2 solid color extra long twin fitted sheets and 2 matching pillowcases, we are going to change companies. These are not the LLBean quality we have received previously. They do not feel like cotton. Sort of a slippery feel that one associates with polyester and very thin. Also, the elastic channels on the fitted sheets do not seem the same quality. Sorry LLBean, I usually like to praise your products but not this time.

I was excited when my new sheets were washed and on my bed. However, I laid down on my pillowcase and discovered they were horribly scratchy. I am so disappointed. I did a lot of research before purchasing too. The fitted sheet is also quite oversized and I have a deep mattress.

While cotton percale sheets should have a bit of crispness they should ultimately be a soft and absorbent cotton. Your "Pima Percale" feel like stiff plastic or vinyl. Horrible and I would NOT want to sleep on them so they will be returned. I guess you don't have access to the fine quality bedding of years past.it is disappointing.

sheets are grainy, not at all soft as expected, they do not fit well on mattress, are very stiff feeling even after washing (added softener, which we never do, did not help), they stick to you making rolling over difficult (before and after softener) - on the plus side, the moss green color is lovely

I submitted my feedback via customer service and have not heard back from anyone. I'm rather displeased with the quality of these sheets. After 2 washings they are scratchy and uncomfortable to sleep on. I would love to return these and get my money back. Please let me know if that's possible.

I am so disappointed with these sheets. They are so scratchy. I CANNOT sleep with these sheets. I've washed them three times and used liquid fabric softener, but they are extremely scratchy. I wish I could return them for store credit. If I can please, let me know. I can't use them. They are terrible! I had to buy something else. What a waste of money.

Sleep hot, and this was the worst I have tried. Large enough for a king bed.

These are terrible. Felt like plastic or a chemical coating out of the package, so I washed them before using. Should have just returned them. They still feel like plastic. I do not understand how they got all the rave reviews. And not cheap either.

Very disappointed with quality. The sheets do not feel like cotton percale. Unfortunately I washed them thinking they would soften otherwise I would have returned them. They feel like a synthetic.

We wanted to love these sheets, given the glowing reviews. But they fit very poorly, and the bottom sheet is a mass of wrinkles after sleeping in them one time. The top sheet is also overly large, and hangs out beneath both of our two quilts.

I purchased these sheets in June of 2020. They were used in a rotation of 3 other sheet sets, so once every 3 to 4 weeks they were put on our bed. By June of 2021, there were random holes in the fitted sheet. I contacted LLBean and the customer service floored me. In the age of amazing customer service from many large companies, having less than perfect is shocking, to say the least. The lady told me I would have to mail the sheets in (at my expense) for them to inspect, and also implied different body types wear sheets in different ways- also shocking. My husband and I are very fit people, of a healthy weight (not that it should matter) and in all my years of buying sheets, I have never had them worn in this fashion. Fast forward to May of 2022 and I pulled out the flat sheet to use on a guest bed and what do you know, the sheet had a random hole in it after a few washes. I feel like I was sold an off set of sheets, which is totally fine, but the customer service attached to the incident will forever keep me from being an LL Bean customer. Sheets should last more than a year, especially when not used the entire time!

These were very disappointing. After laundering according to instructions, they felt rough. Sleeping on them feels like sandpaper. The bottom fitted sheet bags out and almost seem too big for our king mattress. Certainly not worth the price - my Martha Stewart sheets were a quarter of the price and feel like soft, cool true percale.

I've had these sheets for two years, and wash them every other week. They were scratchy when I bought them, and they still are scratchy. Another reviewer noted that they're noisy--yes, they do crackle. They aren't at all like the percale that I remember, and for the outrageous price, they should be as soft as a baby's bottom.

Extremely thin and has the feel of polyester instead of cotton and is not a snug fit. I will be returning these sheets.
