Like sleeping on sandpaper. These are incredibly itchy, no amount of washing (or fabric softener) helped make them less itchy.

Fabric was not real percale fabric. Felt bad to the touch. Returned which went well.

I got these sheets after seeing NYT Wirecutter article because I suffer from hot sleeping. I normally purchase the threshold target sheets which are so much nicer. Will be returning. These were so scratchy and sheer/transparent. You can see through them and you mattress pad or pillow tags show through.. They look cheap. They also didn't stay tightly on bed and I had to continuously retuck under sheet.

I just received these king sized sheets a couple days ago and right out the package there are loose threads everywhere. I expect decent stitching for sheets that cost over $200. Hopefully they at least hold up well but upon arrival the quality is very poor.

Fitted bottom sheet was way too big for my king Tempur-Pedic Mattress. I washed it 2 times and dried it and it didn't shrink much. Cannot use bottom sheet unfortunately.

I bought a set of these sheets in 2024 and LOVE them! Cool, soft light weight sheets that fit well
I have purchased 2 more sets, and they are awful. Oversized, they do not stay tucked in. Scratchy and heavy weight to them. I gave them away as they are to hot to sleep in

I bought these sheets a little over a year ago (so too late to return) and now there's a major tear in the fitted sheet. Used normally, like any other sheet I've ever owned. This is the first time I've had a sheet tear like this. These are way too expensive to be such low quality.

LL Bean was my go to for bedding. But these sheets?! Paper thin and feels cheap. Very disappointing. Won't purchase again and will be looking for another vendor.

I bought this sheet set after reading reviews about how good and soft they are. They are in fact NOT soft, they have a very thin elastic that doesn't stay on the mattress well and they were the biggest let down as far as a sheet purchase goes. They are definitely not worth the $200 price tags.

I bought these sheets after a long search for nice affordable cotton sheets. These were smooth out of the packaging but after washing once they are so scratchy. Bad enough that I slept poorly and switched them out for my other set of sheets from Target. I'm disappointed and now I can't return them because they've been washed.

Given the great reviews, I purchased these sheets. Bad idea. They felt like polyester and washing/drying didn't change that. I was disappointed because I was expecting the classic feel of percale cotton. The fitted sheet was too loose (length & width, not depth). I haven't had this problem with any fitted sheet in my entire life. Then I realized the elastic band on the fitted sheet was very skimpy. It looks wider than it actually is due to the way it's sewn into the fabric (shame on L.L. Bean for this type of deception). The decorative border on the top sheet and pillowcase looks okay until you wash and dry it. Then all those tiny decorative holes become surrounded by a bunch of puckered fabric. This is not my idea of aesthetically appealing. You may like these sheets if you are overweight, have hot flashes, or have a thing for plastic fabric.

I bought these sheets just over a year ago and while they were fine at first (the fitted sheet was a little smaller than I would like), in just over a year they developed a large tear in the center of the fitted sheet. I've never had this happen to any fitted sheets I've owned prior to this, and these are the most expensive sheets I have purchased. For the price, I would expect better quality that lasts longer than these did.

By my standards these are expensive sheets. They were nice while they lasted, but unfortunately the fitted sheet wore out in just under 3 years and developed a hole. I've had much less expensive sheets all my life and I have never experienced this. Maybe people are just willing to spend a lot more on sheets than I am, but I can't afford to pay that much for less than three years of use.

The mattress fitted sheet was the worst fitting sheet I have ever had. It was much to big. The comfort was not what we wanted. Sheets felt rough to the touch.

I purchased these sheets based upon Wirecutter review, and sadly I am so disappointed in my purchase. The quality is poor. They are flimsy and not at all as was described in the review. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them. They were expensive and a waste of money. I wish I could return them.

I got these yesterday, washed them and they tore as I put them on the bed. Ended up having to remove them and go wash the old sheets. Wish I hadn't washed them so I could return them.

I made this purchase after a certain viral review. I was looking for a durable and comfortable set and based on what I read these seem ideal.
First, these sheets wrinkle very easily. I washed them before I used them and was suprised to see all the ceases. Do people iron their bed sheets? I don't.
Second, the texture is stiffer and rougher than I'm used to. Even after a 2nd wash, the sheets are not particularly soft.
Third, (and I know I risk embarrassing myself) the pillow cases quickly showed darken stains. This occurred in a matter of days. This has never happened before and didn't disappear after a 2nd wash. (Yes, I bathe on a regular basis.)
I can't recommend and will not purchase another set. I'll stick with the much lighter and more comfortable microfiber style sheets. They don't winkle, keep me cool and are far cheaper.

Returned these sheets. I'm not even a prima Donna and they were too scratchy for me to be able to sleep. They stick when you try to turn over. Honestly, worst sheets I ever purchased.

I bought these sheets expecting high quality. First, the bottom sheet was WAY too big despite my bed having a thick mattress. The sheets slid around. But I kept them. They have a mice percale feel. Fast forward 11 months and the bottom sheet started having small tears in one corner. I wish I'd immediately returned them. Now, 2 months later (13 months after purchase), the bottom sheet has worn thin all over and has a Silver Dollar sized spot that is threadbare with a hole in the middle.
I wash my sheets in cold water once a week. There is no reason for a $189 sheet to rip like this except poor quality.
Now LL Bean says I have to pay $6.50 to return them and they MIGHT okay the return. They might not. I've shopped at LL Bean for decades but will not again. No recognition of customer loyalty and poor quality. Do not recommend.

My first disappointment with these sheets was the color. They are called mint green and they look like mint green in the photo, but it is more of a blue color. The sheets felt a bit crinkly, but I figured they would soften up after several washings. They didn't. The bottom sheet does not fit well. I can only tuck under the mattress at one end at bottom of the bed - they are ok on the 2 sides. Can't get all 4 corners to fit on the corner. The elastic is not sewn in...it is loose inside the seamed track for it, so since it moves around, one side is always too tight. The top sheet sort of "sticks" to the bottom sheet. You can't drape it onto the bed and pull it where you want it, you have to lift it up and place it in the right place. What really disappoints me is that they had the Good Housekeeping Seal.
