The pima cotton sheets are silky smooth but every move makes a rustling sound. The fitted sheet is plenty big enough for my regular depth mattress with good length on the top sheet. I've washed them twice with no shrinkage but they are wrinkled.

These sheets are nicely made and wash up beautifully with no wrinkling to speak of, and I love the sage green color. But I was looking for cool, crisp percale for the summer months, and these are neither. I might keep them for the cooler months when softness and warmth are of more benefit and more appreciated!

Switching from years of flannel sheets, these seem a bit on the cool side -- but that is what I wanted. The fabric is wonderfully smooth, and the sheets seem to be well made. I put them on the bed without washing first, and the bottom fitted sheet does not fit tightly, so it wrinkles with sleeping (our foam mattress is not excessively thick). I hope that washing them this week will tighten it up so it lies smoothly. But the sheets are very pretty (we got a soft tan color) and we are happy with the quality and price.

The sheets fit great and seem to be very well made - as is all LL Bean products. The only reason I did not give a five star rating is because the sheets were a little too thin for my liking.

I like the sheets so far. Just received them, washed and put on bed. Will review again after a few washes. My only complaint so far is that the pillow cases are not wide enough. The length is fine, but a tight fit putting pillows in case. They need to be a bit fuller.

I like the generous sizing of the sheets. It is really nice to have extra top sheet when your spouse tends to roll up like a burrito at night. However, the rough texture of the sheets is disappointing. I've bought percale sheets all my life and this is the first time the sheets do not have a smooth texture. That is the only thing that keeps these sheets from being outstanding.

I have purchased a few sets of these sheets over the years. This set is nice, but not as soft and silky feeling as the last set. The fabric feels a bit scratchy.

Love the bed linens. The only factor that l would not give this product the highest review is because the fitted bottom sheet fits loose. Its a struggle given the depth of the sheet to pull tight which doesn't last obviously after each night's sleep. Minor in the scheme of things, at least for us. Launders great and great feel to the skin. Would recommend.

I love the color (mint green) and the feel of these sheets. But they are already developing a crease on the top edge of the top sheet, as have other sheets like this I've gotten from LLBean. Unless you iron it, the crease increases until there's a tear. It takes a while, but it's not great.

These sheets are nice and long. Big enough to tuck in, and still have lots of room. Disappointed in the texture. My other percale sheets were so smooth I couldn't feel the weave... these are smooth, but I can still feel the weave on my skin. Hopefully they will get softer as they age. Decent sheets, but probably won't purchase again.

Rating is based on how nice the sheets look and feel ... in the package. They are a very nice quality and softness. However, I ordered king size and thereafter found out my friends need split king size, which they don't offer, so have to return them. Disappointed because they look and feel terrific.

The value of these sheets are a little unreasonable, but the sheets are good quality. Very breathable.

Happy with the feel of these sheets as well as the delicate hemstitch on top sheet and pillowcases. While 280-count is thinner than the heavy cotton I replaced these with, it is well-made and a good value for the price. The only thing I would caution if you are considering vapor gray is that the gray has a lot of brown in it (note display on beige background). These can appear dark depending on bedroom light, sophisticated with gold/silver tones, but a harsh contrast with true white or warm colors.

These sheets were recommended on New York Times Wirecutter. The first set had seam issues...watch out for the fitted sheet seam coming apart. LL Bean replaced the set, so am hoping for better wear. They are soft, yet crisp. Exactly what I was looking for. I rated 4 stars because just not sure about overall quality.

I have been sleeping on these sheets for only a few days. They laundered well and did not have any wrinkles. They seem soft for the thread count. The top sheet has an extremely generous width. Since they are L L Bean I expect they will serve me well for many years to come. I would purchase these sheets again.

These sheets are not the same quality as I've ordered in past years and I was thinking of returning them, until I tried some other brands. Apparently sheet material and construction, like so many other things, has gone downhill since I last purchased. After comparing other sheets, these are less rough and more substantial than most, though a little pricey. I brought them on sale. They also come with some type of slick coating which I removed by washing them with baking soda and rinsing with vinegar in the final rinse. After that that coating was gone. All in all, they are good quality, but not excellent.

Nice sheets with one problem. The fabric is smooth and substantial; the "make" shows quality, with well-finished seams, no loose threads and simple, pretty hem-stitched details; the color is subtle and attractive. BUT: the fitted sheet is clearly made to accommodate the enormous puffy pillow-top mattresses that have become popular in recent years. I put them on my firm new mattress, which is a traditional and very comfortable 9" deep, and they are far too big. The extra size is okay for the top sheet, but the fitted sheet can't be tucked in smoothly and pulls out as I sleep on it, making uncomfortable and unsightly wrinkles all over the surface. I suppose I could use those clip-on elastic "sheet garters" to secure the bottom sheet, but that means up-ending the mattress every time I change the linens, and I'm getting too old for that. Please, LLBean, consider making these otherwise excellent sheets in a size that fits normal mattresses. (Think of all the fabric you'd save.)

I'm a percale sheet lover and have some high-end sheet sets. These sheets are nice and thick, and very smooth, but they lack a certain crispness that I've found in some of my other sheets. In my estimation they fall somewhere between crisp percale and sateen in terms of "drape" and crispness. I line-dry my sheets and then iron the pillow cases, and that usually gives me "maximum crispness", but these sheet just have more "drape" than my favorite percales. They're pretty thick, and that's a plus. They're not bad, but I don't think they'll be my favorites. The search for "crispness" continues!

The first set of these percale sheets reminded me of old fashioned percale, crispy would be an appropriate description. Yes, wrinkled if left in the dryer too long. Subsequent sets must have some sort of coating on them. They don't wrinkle but they don't feel like percale. They feel like a combination of percale and sateen. When I called customer service to ask what had changed, they told me to wash them with vinegar. They didn't seem to understand that I wasn't looking to make them softer, I wanted the percale crispness back! Please note that I first purchased these in January of '17.and they were proper percale. Later purchases in '17 and '18 felt coated. This was not disclosed in product description.

I am a big fan of percale over sateen sheets. Percale to me means crisp, substantial, durable fabric. The fabric on these feels a little thin, and rather silky smooth, like sateen. So we'll see how they hold up. The size is generous, with plenty of overhang on each side, even with our extra thick mattress. There is another company I buy sheets from; the fabric is A+, but the sheets aren't as long or wide, very little tuck in or overhang. Still looking for the perfect percale sheets. But all in all, these are lovely.

I have long looked for sheets that don't look like a piece of crumbled paper coming out of the dryer. All of my percale pima, supima or Egyptian cotton sheets need ironing. I am not a fan of sateen sheets which are better at reducing the wrinkled look. Although these L.L. Bean sheets are not wrinkle free they are one of the best I have found. I just wish there were more color selections.

The dimensions for queen flat sheet as posted on the LL Bean site are INCORRECT. I received my sheets this weekend and the actual dimensions of the flat sheet are 96" wide by 104" long. Those are both the dimensions printed on the card that came with the order as well as the measurements I took. In addition, these are definitely warm-weather sheets. They are smooth and comfortable to the touch, but at the high altitude where I live (7000 feet) I need to add a blanket to prevent getting chilled. The fitted sheet fits over my deep mattress. Glad to see that manufacturers are at last starting to keep up with the trend for deeper mattresses.

The sheets are comfortable and soft. Wash well, but are not wrinkle free. I would purchase them again. I have a had a set of full size, twin and now queen. The fit has been perfect for all sizes.
