I was so excited for this blanket as most of the reviews are amazing. After doing my research i purchased it and i was really happy when it came and tried it. But everything came to an end on the first wash, i followed the instructions washed it in delicate and air dry. Suddenly there was lint everywhere. I washed a second time again following instructions thinking it will resolve the excessive lint and nope it became worse. So sad because i really love the blanket but it has become so problematic and i wish there was something i can do to keep it but unfortunately is just impossible.

I started using this blanket without washing it mostly because its so large and you cannot use any heat when drying it. It was very slippery and kept sliding off the bed. It would not even stay tucked under the mattress. Its not as warm as the name implies either. I decided to wash it to see if it would be less slippery. I put it in the dryer with no heat until it felt dry. When i took it out of the dryer it was covered with fuzz or lint or whatever you want to call it. It is a mess. I have tried using a lint roller and it does not work very well. I would not recommend this blanket.

Dear LL Bean, I so very much wanted to love my new king size blanket costing $169.00. After washing and drying this blanket I pulled it out of the dryer and oh my gosh! What a mess! The pilling and shedding was terrible! The reviewers who gave this blanket five stars either have nor washed the blanket or had a different batch of fabric than the current batch. Do not buy this blanket, it is a terrible disappointment coming from LL Bean,

This is the first purchase from L.L. Bean that I have had to return because of the quality. I have never had a blanket, even much cheaper brands, that shed like this one did. I was very disappointed with it.

I love all things LL Bean, but not this blanket. I took the blanket out of the bag and put it on the new king size bed that I just purchased, along with the brand new flannel sheet set from the Bean as well. This blanket is SO statcticky, my husband and I could hear it sizzle as we laid it on the bed. I immediately felt the static electricity running through my body. Needless to say, I packed it back in the bag and returned it the next day. I'll choose a cotton blanket next time. BTW, love the new flannel sheets, they're the best!

The pilling from the raven blue was everywhere. Returning. I have a cream one with no issues

Looking forward to receiving our new blanket, what a surprise we got after my wife washed it for the first time prior to putting it on our bed. We ended up getting hundreds of fabric pills all over the blanket on one side. Although I was working on another home project at the time, it took my wife a good forty-five minutes removing them all. Check out the photos and see for yourself whether you want to purchase this blanket and spend the time doing something you shouldn't have to do. Also, I wonder if this is going to happen again the next time it gets washed! In hindsight, I began reading the negative reviews and found many customers with the same complaint. One person stated that she washed the blanket seven times and is still getting these fabric pills. So, I guess I have my answer. I usually read reviews before making a purchase but always felt I could trust LL Bean products. I guess that is changing and they are willing to make inferior products.

Is this blanket wicked cozy? Not for me: It is so slippery that it would not stay on the bed. Every night the blanket migrate over the side and halfway down the bed. We went back to using the polar fleece blankets, which are much better.

Feels soft and comfortable with the perfect weight. When I washed and dried the blanket one time according to the instructions, it came out with lint and pills all over. Now I have pills stuck to my bedding and bedroom carpeting. Stick with the clothing from LL Bean. Their clothes are great.

So soft to the touch, but, after seven launderings, it is still shedding. I'm very disappointed.

This blanket is one of the best we have ever had. It is so warm that we do not need another blanket on the bed. It is also very soft.

Bought 3 of them and have recommended them to friends and family. It is not only warm but has a soft cuddly feel to it. My guests even remarked how warm it was and asked where to buy them.

The blanket I received is not as shown in the online photo. First, the raven blue color is actually light blue gray rather than the dark blue shown. Second, the hem is puckered resulting in an overall rumpled appearance. Third, the size of the monogram is so small it is barely visable. Finally, lint everywhere: my pajamas, sheets, and white carpet. IMO the quality is substandard and not worthy of the price. Bring back the Polortec polor fleece brand fabric which is far superior.

After washing this blanket in cold water, it kept releasing pea-sized blanket fragments all over itself and wherever I happened to put it. I could not use it because of the quantity of lint it generated. For an expensive item, I would have expected better quality.

After getting a weird cheesy tag on the blanket with American Blanket Company on it, and doing a little research, it looks like they sell the same exact thing at their site at a different price. I honestly wouldnt bother because the blankets are horrible anyway. They don't breathe and the stitching was awful. Would not recommend.
