These waterproof fleece blankets were bought as Christmas gifts for my wife and adult children. Everyone has placed one of these in their vehicles for emergency use. I have 2 in my SUV, because one is for the dog! One daughter doesn't have a car yet because she is in law school right now. But she uses her Outdoor Blanket when laying out to sun bathe or on picnics on weekends. The blankets are warm and waterproof, so they will keep you warm if you get stranded with a vehicle stuck in snow or mud. Along with the other safety gear in all of our vehicles ( jumper cables, air compressor, tow straps, tools, gloves, flashlight, snow shovel, kitty litter, safety triangles, and first aid kit ) I don't have to worry about them getting to where they are going or at least a safe place until help can arrive.

I always wanted a "picnic blanket" and was searching high and low for a brand and look I could enjoy. When I found out LLBean had them, I jumped on the opportunity to buy one and I'm glad I did. I haven't used it yet (I just received it yesterday), but I already have a few uses for it. First and foremost, using it in the car over the leather seats to protect against the dogs. Then we will also use it at our grandchildren's baseball and sporting events. And finally we will get much use out of it camping in our travel trailer, travel in general and around the house to stay cozy. The little pouch that comes with it is also very useful at keeping it compact and stowed away neatly. Some people complained that the blanket is "noisy" because of the nylon backing. I don't see an issue with that at all as the benefits entirely outweigh that. Also, because I don't plan on using the blanket at the opera or the theater...so essentially, the noise should never be an issue. Finally, I didn't see where LLBean offered monogramming for this item. If they don't (there's probably a good reason), it would be nice if they could. Overall this is another excellent and well thought out idea and product by LLBean. I highly recommend it. :)

This will be our sixth one of these blankets. We keep them in the cars for sporting events and they are perfect. Warm and waterproof great for all the elements including sitting and laying on them. They even come in a drawstring bag that makes them easy to carry around. This is the best.

Our dog is a member of the family and as such gets up on chairs and the sectional. She likes to lick and occasionally leaves wet spots. Your Waterproof Blanket is a perfect solution. We have placed in over her favorite spot on our sectional. She enjoys the warm soft covering and we appreciate that it is waterproof and prevents stains to furniture.

It is everything you want in a picnic blanket. But If I must say something about it that is not perfect, it is that I cannot put it back in the bag easily. Perhaps the design can change a bit to include this part in the blanket so when you fold it, the wrapping part will be naturally shown up for you to pack it.

This waterproof outdoor blanket was just as described and the quality makes it worth the price. It will be perfect for those ball games when the bleachers are soaked!

My favorite thing about this blanket is how well it cuts the wind at the ball park. It's a very warm blanket. As long as you don't mind a little crinkle noise, you will love it!

We haven't used the blanket yet but with lacrosse season and it's unpredictable weather coming I'm looking forward to trying it out. My daughter keeps ruining my nice throws by dragging them to games and then I can't get the grass and burrs out. So I'm really looking forward to her and us using these to keep warm and dry. They are a nice size without being too humongous but will cover her well if she wears it on the sidelines over her head in the rain or will work nicely for a bunch of girls to lay out on in the sunshine. And will keep us warm on the bleachers. The backside isn't as plasticy and I thought it might be and is really nice and flexible. Love the little bag to carry it around in. Thanks LLBean. Looking forward to using. We bought three they looked so good.

I got this for two reasons 1. too cover the backseat, do the dog doesn't dirty up the Leather seat 2. a great outdoor blanket , to seat on and Not worry about dampness

I used this blanket to cover the couch. It is larger than most waterproof pet blankets which makes it much more useful. We have a cat that drags all of the outdoors inside with him so this blanket is doing a great job protecting a white couch. The orcid color is beaufil.

We spend a lot of time in football stadiums for marching band. This blanket is lightweight, easy to pack, yet super warm. Our weather is unpredictable, so it's nice to have waterproof warmth.

I love this blanket. I got one for soccer, then had to get another because my son took it for cross country meets. I now have three and have even ordered one for my sister. They are great! Very warm and wind/water resistant on the outside!

I had purchased one of these blankets over a year ago and used it many times at High School soccer games and it kept me very warm and dry through some cold and wet weather. I recently purchased one as a gift for our daughter in law as their son is now playing soccer and will put the blanket to very good use. It is well made and I would definitely recommend it to others.

This is the 2nd one of these blankets I've ordered in the past couple of years. It is an excellent gift for young families who attend soccer, baseball or football games. It really works when there is a dampness to grass. Also works well at late night fireworks displays. Highly recommend.

This blanket is a GREAT item to have in your car, especially if you are a soccer, hockey and lacrosse mom like I am!! It is perfect for the cold, wet, rainy days in spring and fall, or in an ice cold hockey rink during the long winter months here in Maine. A must have!!!

I've used this twice since buying it, and am very satisfied. I took it to my sons rainy football games. It was large enough to either share over our laps or sit on and cover the front of one person. I was warm and dry. The temperature was in the 40's. The carrying bag was very convenient as well. The fleece underside is warm and cozy and the waterproof side does it's job without being to stiff or cold.

This Hunter Green Waterproof Picnic Blanket is just what we were looking for. It's large size (70" x 58") is perfect for the wine and jazz concerts that we attend. We will also be using it for other outdoor activities that we are involved in. Thank you.

This is actually the second waterproof blanket that I've bought, but haven't had reason to use it. The first is still in great shape. No loose seams or tears. I've used the first for picnics, outdoor games and as a blanket in the vehicle during winter travel. And yes, I've used when it I lost control and went into a ditch. Used the blanket to keep warm until the tow truck arrived.

We have wanted to buy one of these blankets for years. Finally got one from LLBean and used it at the beach and it was perfect. Had to wash it after that beach trip and it came out great. I keep it in my car so that when we have a spur of the moment picnic it's there for us. We also camp and know this blanket will come in handy then too.

I love this roomy and versatile blanket. It is great to use in vehicle to keep seats dry after a day at play in snow or at the dwindling lake/reservoir. Glad I had it at Tahoe for recent search. Need one in van and truck also.

Excellent multi season multi use blanket. Perfect for everything from picnics to emergency protection. A must for any vehicle.

We attend outdoor concerts in the summer, rain or shine, and needed a blanket that could provide comfort, warmth, and dryness. This one met the criteria. It got a good test it's first use, a rainy, unseasonably chilly evening, picnic food, some muddy conditions, & it did it's job well. It came out cleanly after washing...no weird pilling or lint build-up. We'd like to see this blanket come in nice patterns, various sizes.

Just what I needed for my camp/hike and trips to western MA.

This is the 4th waterproof blanket I have purchased from LL Bean. We go to a lot of football, lacrosse and early spring baseball games where our grandchildren are playing. These blankets have been "lifesavers" in keeping us warm and dry. Recommend this blanket to anyone who enjoys being outdoors in less than ideal weather.
